On the fourth floor is QMCWest Ortho and Rehab Center. How convenient!!! It's a one stop place! See your orthopedist and follow up if needed with a physical therapist on the same floor. Appointments for both areas can be made with the ladies at the front desk. Long gone are the ping pong games between different phone numbers, providers and locations. Easy! Annndd: they have X-ray available in ortho too! No CT scan or MRI at this office (that'll have to be done through QMC's Imaging Department and actual procedure(s) to be done at one of their several locations. Front staff have been so helpful and friendly! Physicians are good! From the group I have personally worked with many of them on a professional basis and attest to their capabilities and bedside manner. There are a few new orthopods that are new to me but so far so good with Dr. Chen (fingers crossed). On the rehab side I've been pretty pleased and impressed with my PT's demeanor and treatment. Another plus to be treated here: FREE parking!

Dr. Morton said " no more pain after the procedure". I was sold, chanc'um. After doing both hips; recovery was amazing, being in my mid 40's prolly made it easier?. Dr. Mortons staff are always on top of it helping me through my first surgery; feeling like a deer in the headlights, the staff provided great advice, options, and answers/guidance. After both surgeries, went home of about 20 steps the same day. Out of a walker in about a week with PT & personal motivation. Hopefully get on a skateboard, fishing, golfing, yoga, bboy soon, but overall the ability to be an ARTIST OF MOVEMENT again.. I appreciate Dr. Morton and Team. In November 2025, I prepaid several thousand dollars for PRP injections, but after surgery the plan changed and the doctor agreed a refund was owed for injections not received. This was never disputed. Despite that, it took about six months of repeated calls, emails, and office visits to receive the refund. I was told multiple times that the refund had been processed or mailed when it had not. I am sharing this so patients can be aware of the refund process before paying large amounts upfront. Although the Dr. blamed a bad billing company, I was always interacting with his office staff who were clearly communicating with him.

The "exam" itself was a joke -- rushed, under 5 minutes total, and provided absolutely no medical advice or guidance. To make matters worse, Dr. Barcia abruptly left in the middle of the already short visit without any explanation. After that, I was just escorted back to the front desk like nothing happened. The only "help" they offered was a referral -- which I could have gotten faster and cheaper by doing a quick Google search at home. If you're looking for real help, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Don't waste your time, money, or hope on this place.

WARNING: Injured Workers, Read Before Seeing Dr. Chen for an IME…read more If you're dealing with HEMIC or any insurance-assigned IME, be aware that Dr. Chen's reports contain false information that can affect your claim and deny you treatment. * Major errors & contradictions: My IME report falsely stated I had arthritis in my neck (I don't), even though no medical records support this. * Dismisses real injuries: My herniated discs, pinched nerves, and entrapped nerve were downgraded to "muscle strains"--industry-related but not caused by my job, according to him. * Requests unnecessary testing: He recommended testing on unrelated body parts, seemingly to undermine my actual injuries. * Denials based on false IME: Every treatment denial I received listed Dr. Chen's name as the reason I couldn't see a specialist or get proper care. I requested corrections, sent proof, and was ignored. Instead, I was told I'd have to pay for another IME out of pocket. If you're required to see Dr. Chen, protect yourself: Bring a witness Record the visit (if allowed) Request his report ASAP & compare it to your real medical records DO NOT assume his evaluation will be fair. If you've experienced a false IME, consider filing a complaint with RICO. Injured workers deserve honest medical evaluations--not biased reports that block access to care.

I saw Dr. Harris who I have to say was excellent. He took care of my broken foot and also injected my knee and my hip and solved some other issues. However, my broken foot was extremely painful. I took pain medication as per prescribed, I do not like pain medication so I tried to not take it as much as possible. However, at the beginning my foot was so painful I could not put any pressure on it or sleep however, when I needed more pain medication this office completely ignored me. I called several times and I was told someone would get back to me and they never did. I was without medication for an entire week and almost had to go to the emergency room, I just laid in my bed and waited it out until somebody called me one week later! When I told Dr. Harris what was happening he apologized. However, this same scenario repeated itself a month later I wanted to come in and get an injection in my foot so that I would not need any more medication, but I could not get an appointment and I also was having a lot of trouble walking, I called the office and asked for some pain medication and an appointment. They would not refill my prescription unless I came. I was ready willing and able to come in but I could not get an appointment! Then the doctor was going on vacation so I asked if I could at least get something to get me through the week so I could work and then I would come in. No answer. Then the doctor came back from vacation and I tried to get into see him but I could not get an appointment. I asked to speak to him on the phone and they said they would call me back and they didn't. He also told me to message him through the portal which I did, now it is Friday and I couldn't bear to go another weekend without any medication to help me walk. I messaged him in the portal. They read the message at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and no one ever got back to me. So here it is another weekend where I will have to lie in my bed because I cannot walk without pain. This is nothing short of malpractice, and I am disgusted with this office and their lack of communication. I saw another doctor in this orthopedic group several years ago for another broken bone and she was amazing. She always called me back when I called and she checked up on me after surgery. If I was in pain, she gave me advice and told me what to do prescribing whatever I needed in addition to physical therapy. As I said , Dr. Harris is technically very good and he seems to be a very nice guy, but his talents are wasted in an office with little to no communication. I will be finding another orthopedic doctor.

I was mortified to ask my OBGYN for a referral to PT and had done so 3 years ago, but that failed bc the PT then was only open weekdays when I had to go to an intense job and since I switched insurance, that PT wanted a new referral from a new doctor. Fast forward to a stable job with great insurance, and I felt brave enough to ask my OBGYN for a referral for my hypertonic pelvic floor dsyfunction. Normally, I would not announce this on the internet but I was always told kegels, kegels, kegels to fix my pelvic issues. And to my surprise, NOPPPPEEE. I needed to learn to relax and then strengthen. I'm writing this in case anyone else is looking for issues with this problem and wants to find real relief and help. Thanks to JACO's scheduling team, scheduling appts via phone call or text was a breeze. And my PT Abby taught me so much in the six months I had with her.
