The staff was attentive and professional, and it truly restored my trust and confidence in their level of care. This time I was there as a visitor instead of a patient, and I also discovered a small Starbucks corner in the waiting area past the vending machines (which unfortunately weren't working). It was such a nice surprise. They had great options, I grabbed a turkey pesto sandwich, a Smartwater, and a nutter butter and it definitely helped hold me over during the ER wait. The location was very convenient as if was just right down the road from my house. Its sad that people on the west side need to wait longer to be cared for, especially in an emergency situation where they have to travel longer to pali momi or kaiser. That much time they need to travel is that much crucial to life or death. The parking here was also good since it was an open lot and you dont have to pay for parking like the other hospitals. Hopefully someone buys this place soon because the west side is a fast growing city and it will need a main hospital.

Since it was a pre-op clearance, Mely performed an EKG with a portable device she could wheel into the examination room. Next Kylie, PA actually looked into my ears, mouth and felt my stomach which my doctor has never done. She went over my blood pressure, temperature and EKG readings and told me which meds to stop taking one week prior. She sent me down to the lab for blood and urine tests after. I was happy and impressed that both ladies were both kind, thorough and very pretty plus easy to talk to. I was told if I don't get a call, that's good news and I'm cleared for surgery.

Receptionists were patient and explained all the paperwork needed. I was screened by Mille, who was very professional and friendly. She asked about my symptoms and explained the test she would perform. I returned 40 min later as instructed for the test results. Dr. Gomez then spoke to me about my test results and my choices for medication or wait to see if I get better with the over the counter medications I was already taking. She was very kind, professional, and ensured my lungs were clear of congestion. She spoke in detail about my tests and ensured I didn't have any questions. she wrote a note for me to give to my employer as I would be out sick for 5 days. In November 2025, I prepaid several thousand dollars for PRP injections, but after surgery the plan changed and the doctor agreed a refund was owed for injections not received. This was never disputed. Despite that, it took about six months of repeated calls, emails, and office visits to receive the refund. I was told multiple times that the refund had been processed or mailed when it had not. I am sharing this so patients can be aware of the refund process before paying large amounts upfront. Although the Dr. blamed a bad billing company, I was always interacting with his office staff who were clearly communicating with him.
