Upon our last "Service" we will no longer be using Campbells! My husband requested for our riding mower to be picked up for a BLADE SHARPENING service only along with dropping off a chainsaw that stopped working on the first use. The riding mower was picked up in early January and the chainsaw dropped off on 1/14/23. Both machines were finally dropped off on 3/3/23! This company never called to provide updates on the machines. I called once to inquire for an update and they could not confirm when the machines would be ready! Well upon receiving the machines on drop off we were astounded to see the invoice total for $556.49! This company decided to do a service to the riding mover WITHOUT ever consulting us. Parts were charged $133.91 Plus labor $270.00 along with Misc charges of $118.00. My husband contacted Campbells to discuss the invoice. There was no understanding or even the attempt to rectify this situation. All he was told was that the service was done and it must be paid in full. He explained that we were not expecting an invoice for this amount. He inquired why we were never notified. The person on the other end said they never call clients, they just do the service. Well Campbells you decided to do a whole extra here versus what we requested ONLY FOR blades sharpened and pick up and drop off of mower. If you bring your machines here for service, make sure you obtain a written description of what you are bringing in the machine for. Lesson learned!

We went to Campbell's to buy a new Toro. The experience started off great until I went to sign the…read morefinancing paperwork. Once signed, I was informed that there was an additional $100 charge to install the $1200 power bagging system. I asked why that wasn't communicated to me prior to me signing and the woman said a check is fine like it was no big deal. The $100 wasn't the problem, it was the fact that the information seemed purposely left out until after I signed everything. I told them to leave the bagger in the box and to deliver it with the mower and that my husband would install it himself. The woman made the note in front of me. I also asked that the mower be delivered between 8:30 and 11:30 as my husband works overnights and needed to get to sleep. Again, I was told no problem and it was noted on my paperwork. Fast forward to delivery day. I was out of town and got a text from my husband asking where the mower was as it was already 11:30. Oh, and we were also supposed to get a call ahead of the delivery-that didn't happen either. After a call to Campbell's looking for delivery information I was assured it would deliver in 20 minutes. It is now 12:15 and the driver pulls in with our new mower. The bagger was installed and the driver immediately handed over an invoice for $106.00 for the bagger install. My husband said he absolutely not pay the fee as it was communicated that we would install it ourselves. The driver said he wouldn't unload the Toro without the $106 so my husband told him to take it back and rip up the contract. Now I am involved. I got on the phone with the delivery driver and told him he needed to get on the phone with his people and they were either ripping up the invoice or taking the mower back and ripping up our contract. 1)we never got a call with a heads up of the delivery ETA as requested 2)the delivery wasn't made in the time frame needed 3)the bagger wasn't left in the box for us to assemble 4)mower shows up with bagger installed AND invoice. After many attempts to get a response from Campbell's regarding our experience, we got nothing. We gave them the opportunity to explain or at least apologize and nothing. When customers spend as much money as we did through their establishment you would think they would want to keep them happy. This was most definitely not the case. Very very disappointed oh...and when the mower was delivered, the owners manual was given to my husband and he was told everything was self explanatory Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

I purchased this unit and with proper maintenance I've have had zero issues. Season 2019 returned for a Echo 450P Chainsaw and the Ray's were very helpful with that purchase as well. Ray Junior advised which was the best one for my application with no up sale or pressure to purchase. Season 2021 back to ask about replacement turf tires for my GC and if it was worth swapping from the original set and after a couple of questions we agreed it wasn't worth the purchase to make the swap. (COVID saw the signs, door was locked and no issue) Grass still looks good. Season 2022 back for all needed to maintain my GC again very helpful w/ what I did and did not need for me to do the job. Season 2023 back for my Echo 450P maintenance parts and an air filter belt retainer for my GC (now with 267 hours) that needed to be special ordered. Ray Junior gladly offered to sell me one he had from his own shop GC they used for snow plowing so I wouldn't have to wait or use my tractor while having the air filter bouncing around in the engine bay and possibly cause additional damage. That's my experience with Soslers and I do recommend this establishment. Having written the above statement and having owned my own business I do recognize the following... People including the Ray's have bad day's. Customers can be a pain in the @$$. You know who you are Karen! Small mom and pop businesses can't compete with big box business. They're great at selling things but if you have any problems at all you're in for a real adventure. You don't know which character you're going to get. Especially if it's something they don't want to deal with! Attitude for days and kind of slow at getting things done. How these guys have survived over the years I'll never know. They are at their best during a sale for sure. But not people sensitive or customer service centered at all after-sale! Very self centered. It's a shame because they do sell good products and maintain the facility very well. Their prices are HIGH but I guess they have to cover for the customers they've lost or driven away. I really wanted to continue to do business with them but wow, we just couldn't continue to do it. Sad.
