I ordered a pastrami and Swiss on a roll with 1,000 Island, mustard and onion. I was drooling imaging the mountain I was promised by those in the know. The sandwich was delicious. But as you'll see in the photo it was actually kind-of-small. Maybe I didn't order correctly. The coleslaw and deli pickle were perhaps the best example of each I have ever had. I'm already planning my return with a cooler so I can fill it with steaks and sausages. This place is the real deal. Take away - worth the drive for the experience and meat case. I asked if there was a pay phone nearby. He smugly replied, " No and there isn't probibly one for 50 square miles!" While looking quite knackered being drenched in sweat, legs covered in dried mud, a cumbersome 40lb pack on my back, my right boot is falling apart and my cell phone in hand and battery is dead. All this visably going on with me while he is gasing at me in self richeousness...He then had the audacity to say, "Oh there most likely one about 9 miles down 94 at the truck stop" I replied well thats pretty far, do you think I could use your phone? His answer... " we'll I'm using it right now and I dont like to lend it out!" Never did he consider that I may of been in need of help. That my friends is not how to run a business. Had he let me use his phone I would of glady purchased a six pack and had a few beers while my pickup ride was on the way. However Dales Market went the extra mile for me and I was able make a call and got picked up. I will never do business with this place in the future no matter how much I desire a beverage. When I found that he was local and saw his ratings, I knew I had to try his service at least once. I switched from a bigger company who installed my equipment because it was difficult to get service and I had to speak to 2 or 3 different people to arrange that. I was tired of having to make phone calls, wait for replies and being made to feel that people were doing me a favor by charging me to come out for work. Mack called me back himself within 10 minutes of my message. He "interviewed" me on the phone about the problems I was having. He went to my home, serviced my unit and had it running right away. He also gave me advice and suggestions about keeping it running well. The price was a little cheaper than my previous company, but still within the range for an annual service. I will continue to use Mack because he seemed to care about my home as if it were his. Paying him was the last thing on his mind, he wanted me to be happy first. That's difficult to find; it's a pride of craftsmanship that is lacking in the bigger companies. I will use Mack from now on and you should too.
