If reptiles are their specialty they should stick to them. Birds especially need clean air and environments. They should lead by example of what good bird care looks like. My search for the perfect grooming experience is finally over! My elderly mixed breed rescue dog, Greta, was treated like absolute Royalty by Kayla. The absolute attention to detail with her grooming was incredible, and when I came back to pick her up, Greta was a new woman! She looked, and felt, gorgeous! She was seen by another vet prior to visiting Pocono Peak that did her vaccines and I sent the records through Pet Desk their so called "convenient" app to make appts. I was told it would be okay to send records through the email the app provided. Not only is it an email they don't use, but they blamed me for not having received the email with the records. Furthermore, I made an appt to get the Lyme/Lepto vaccine done for my puppy on the 6th of October for a nurse visit. Immediately after the visit I made an appointment for October 27th for the vaccine to get boostered. They gave a "final" DHPP INSTEAD of a Lyme/Lepto vaccine when I brought her in for the appointment. If she was coming in two weeks after to get it boostered it SHOULD HAVE been put in the notes in Infinity (their computer system) what vaccine she would be receiving October 27th so the mistake could have been avoided. When I called about the error they said they never received records (when they were 100% sent) and that I would not be receiving a refund due to it being my mistake not theirs. As a veterinary technician I have been in this field for quite sometime and I trusted this hospital with the care of my new puppy. It's not what you say, but how you say it and them blaming me for this was extremely unprofessional. I highly recommend taking your pet elsewhere such as Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital, Pocono Lake animal hospital or Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono.

When we walked in BuddyG went into automatic tracking mode. Louise - the groomer with whom I had spoken over the phone - remembered our conversation. She introduced herself and was so very pleasant. She was just finishing up with a pup but, took a second to say hello. It might not sound like much but a warm greeting goes a long way!! I explained that BuddyG was 21 years old - blind and deaf - but still very feisty. I explained how I wanted her to approach him and what I needed her to do. Actually went over a list I had prepared as the previous groomer did not do what I had verbally explained and she had verbally agreed to. Lesson learned. I also explained that BuddyG is sometimes afraid of the blow dryer. She was so cool with everything and thanks me for the list as it would make her job that much easier. I let her know that if she needed to take some extra time with him I would gladly pay for it. I am always afraid that he might be mistreated because he can be stubborn AF!! Seriously. But, when I was leaving he seemed very comfortable. Anywho - I am waiting to be called back when he is done. Well she had explained it would take 1.25 hours at the most. I got the call 2 hours later that he wA ready to be picked up. When I entered the salon the look on her face let me know he had been a handful. She charged me a little more - which I was okay with as I had forewarned her - and left her a good tip as well. BuddyG looked FANTASTIC! I actually did a little applause dance when I saw him. I was so happy. We talked a bit. She told me she was surprised he was so agile at his age. He truly is amazing! We took off and told them we would be back! And we will be!
