Michael and his crew were fantastic to work with. Michael came out to measure for the shower enclosure, explained all of the options, brought some samples and did not try to upsell. Installation was efficient and the installers left the bathroom spotless after installing the glass. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Central Glass Chicago and will use them for any future projects. read more

Incredible work! I live in a high rise downtown Chicago and I was looking to cover up the space over my kitchen that connects to the second bedroom and I wanted light to come through from the living room/balcony area. Central Glass delivered! They were FAST but so good at what they do! I could tell how important it was for them to get everything right and for everything to look good. I am blown away. The result is even better than I imagined. Thank you thank you thank you! I highly recommend Central Glass! read more

Not sure why but I went to the Downers Grove location when the website and Google indicate they are open only to find the storefront is just a storage location. Phone number doesn't work either. read more

This place is great. Michael came out right away as we were in a time crunch. Within a week, the mirror was replaced with a new one. The installation was seamless and the clean up was perfect. I plan on using them again for a shower door. read more

First time I have tried to contact Central Glass. I Called to ask if they would be interested in pricing out some door replacements. Was quickly told to not call with this "BS" and hung up the phone. A simple no would have been sufficient but this was beyond unprofessional. read more

Michael was so great to work with. He came out a couple hours after I requested an appointment for a quote. He offered his honest opinion on what glass and finish to use in each bathroom and did not try to up charge me. He worked with me on a fair price and was more than a reasonable. The turn around was so fast, I didn't have to wait weeks for the mirrors and doors to be cut. The work looks great and the gUys who came out to do it were very nice, professional, and did a great job. The door they originally cut and brought out had a scratch on it, Michael pointed it out to me before they Installed in and he went and got a new door cut. He didn't install a bad door and hope I didn't notice. I will definitely be using him again and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for shower doors or mirrors or custom glass! read more

We recently purchased a frameless glass shower door through Central Glass. This is a family owned and operated business and the nice thing is you only deal with Michael the owner from beginning to end. He is very professional and meticulous about his work. I couldn't begin to tell you how awesome of an experience we had with Central Glass. Michael Abrignani was there from start to finish. He gave us a ballpark figure over the phone and when he came out the figure didn't waiver. He understood exactly what we were looking for and delivered. In addition, it only took a week or two. If you are in the market for glass I say Central Glass has it covered. Just look at the pic and see for yourself. No leaking or anything!!! Seamless perfection. THANKS MICHAEL!!! read more

Ask for Michael. He came out right away to measure. He knew exactly what we were looking for design wise and expertly gave us a quote for our clearer and taller glass. He delivered in 2 weeks and he installed it, which went great, right before the Holidays. It has performed as beautifully as it looks. Thx Michael for being the perfectionist you are from start to finish! read more

Beware if your tile cracks upon installation, it will be on you. Our tiles cracked when they installed the door. Michael gave us the name of someone to redo the tiles so his guys could reinstall the door. I bought new tiles and had them reinstalled $$$ (which we had to pay for). After they reinstalled the door, the tiles cracked again in a few days even worse than the first time around. The person Michael sent out told us he would have to take the whole wall apart to figure out what the problem is, and he was too busy to do the work anytime soon (he said he had no idea how much that could cost). Michael would also charge us a couple hundred dollars to take door off again and reinstall after repair. Have not heard from Michael or the tile guy in months, no follow up. Tiles are still cracked, door makes very loud noise every time we open it to take a shower. One the door seals is also coming off, and has been since the first time door was installed (the installers never stuck it on correctly). Such a disappointment. read more

For my bathroom remodel, I used Central Glass Chicago for my clear glass shower door with brushed nickel door and attachments along with a beveled mirror to match one along side a beveled medicine chest. The product turned out beautiful. Michael was very professional, on the mark with estimate and ETA. We had Michael install a glass door in our washroom. He did a great job. However, he indicated that we have a lifetime guarantee on his work. Whenever I have called him to come and repair something on the door he never returns my calls. Disappointed at the level of professionalism. read more

Top of the Heap! Chicago Central Glass is more than a 5 star in my book. They installed a new shower enclosure for us with all the traits of a first rate quality company. Michael the owner was attentive to every detail. We had 2 other companies visit for an estimate, but no-one except Michael offer a design idea that made our new shower perfect. Michael is smart, competent, and an excellent communicator. He always was prompt in replying to any email or text. It was a true pleasure doing business with him and his excellent crew. If you are planning any project where glass is needed, make sure you contact Michael at Chicago Central Glass you will not be disappointed, but you will be very happy you did. I am a bit of a tough marker when it comes to professional services -- Michael made it easy on me to give his company my own "highly recommended" rating. read more

Words cannot describe how impressed I am by central glass Chicago. After a long grueling whole home remodel I was exhausted when it came to finishing up the final details, and couldn't wait for it to be complete. But I did have a vision in mind, and after all that time spent designing the bathroom alone, I knew I could not give up now and give the job to just anyone. I had several quotes set up that week and none of those companies impressed me. When I told them what I had envisioned they told me that it was not possible, and that I would have to go an alternative route. In hindsight I now see it as a route they felt more comfortable with. So I was just about ready to put my dreams aside and compromise for something I wasn't thrilled about, until Michael came along. All I can say is thank god I waited to meet one more person for a quote before I decided to give in! Michael was a breath of fresh air after dealing with so many not so professional contractors. He saw my vision and knew the shower would look bad any other way! He worked with me in coming up with a perfect solution so my vision would be possible not only aesthetically but also in terms of functionality. So when all these people came back with quotes the next day I was surprised to learn how reasonable Michaels prices were. You see I already knew I wanted to go with Central Glass Chicago even before I got the quotes. The only part I knew my boyfriend might not be so happy about was the time frame in which the shower glass was to be made, delivered, and installed. Central glass Chicago designs and creates all the glass themselves so we were quoted a couple days longer than some others but decided to still move forward with them. And again Michael blew us away when he was done sooner then originally quoted, and as soon as the glass was done he was ready to set up an install appointment the next day! Him and his installer Joe (who is also a great guy) came to my house the very next day and were courteous, professional, and to my disbelief, CLEAN! The entire install of the huge glass shower was completed in less than two hours and when I went upstairs to see the final product I was So IMPRESSED! Gosh it looked gorgeous, and when I couldn't stop complementing them, Michael says oh its because you designed a beautiful shower, instead of taking the credit himself. Let me tell you Central glass Chicago is an amazing company and defiantly a breath of fresh air when it comes to hiring contractors! I will definitely be using them for ANY future projects! Thanks again for my beautiful shower! read more

I highly recommend Central Glass. Our quote came in lower than the other 2 companies who came out. The shower glass was in earlier than we were told and Michael scheduled the installation right away. The installation job was immaculate and we are very happy with how it looks! read more

This company is worth taking the time to write a review about. The owner is very personable and easy to work with while still having a professional flair. Their work is done to perfection. When I randomly selected this company to replace my shower doors, I got lucky. Michael and Joe were great. They were neat when they removed the old and careful when they installed the new doors. The end result looks fantastic. read more

Mike installed our glass shower surround in our master bath. I am very happy with the service and quality provided by Central Glass. Mike took the time to show us several options of hardware and discuss how each option would look and function. He installed clamps on the bottom and sides of the glass for a more seamless look. Other contractors that provided quotes would only install tracks on the bottom and sides because it was easier for them to install. Central Glass also provided custom height glass while other quotes we received only provided two available standard heights. He took very detailed measurements for a perfect fit. Installation of the glass was quick and professional. The finished product was exactly what I had in mind, instead of compromising because the installer only worked with standard sized products. I have recommended Central Glass to friends that are remodeling and they have been pleased as well. read more
