I previously thought that maybe this unusual shape with angles and cut--outs would not be possible. He assured us it was possible. Craftsmanship like this is, indeed, rare. He came to our home and made a preliminary template of the very irregular horizontal surface in order to give a quote. After we accepted the quote, he came a second time to make a very precise pattern of the necessary cut-outs for the surface. In a little over a week, he returned for the third time with the fabricated glass to make sure the fit was exact and perfect. He came with tools to expertly fine tune the glass so that it could easily slide out if cleaning is necessary in the future. We are delighted with the result and have the highest respect for how PERFECT this glass surface is. The bay window is a focal point of our living room and - even with an active dog - the surface is beautifully protected.

Deb has been nothing but pleasant, caring and attentive to my needs and concerns. She has provided the best follow up and communication to me. I sent Deb an email advising her after about a week or so that I have not forgotten about her company and I was waiting on my tax return so I can order the glass and get it installed. Deb made arrangements to order the glass and get it in so that it can be ready for me when I was ready. I then got an email from Deb less than a week later telling me the glass was in and she was coming out in a few days to install it. As a Christmas present, I wanted to repair the box, replace the glass, and ceremoniously refold the flag that had come unfurled when the box fell. I stopped by four different places to have it repaired, but each one said they could not do it and suggested buying a new case instead. While replacing it would have been easier and probably cheaper, my father was deeply sentimental about the original case. I finally visited House of Glass in Elmhurst. Not only did they agree to replace the glass, Linda told me it would be their honor to help after hearing the story. I am so grateful for the people there at House of Glass. I dropped it off right before closing, and they had it ready for pick-up early the next day. I have since had the flag refolded at the local American Legion, and the restored case is now wrapped and waiting under the tree for my father to open on Christmas morning. He measured and we talked about getting a new hinge since it was compromised by the initial door hanging off of it. They indicated it would be two weeks. 3.5 months later they finally came to install the lighter shower door, with my old hinges and proceeded to tell me that they cut the new door to the old hinges but my stationary glass wasn't cut for the original hinges so they would need to replace that too and would call me with an estimate (this should have been measured and accounted for in the beginning so that piece didn't need to be replaced). No one followed up or would reply to my reach outs so FOUR MONTHS later I still haven't been able to use my shower and have no door- they also have my original handles used so I'll have to replace those. Not only did they replace, they showed me how to clean and what to clean with to not damage. In addition, they adjusted the door so it would swing closed. Cost $60.00. I thought that was a fair cost. As they were leaving, I inquired if they replaced glass in mirrors. I handed over a full length antique morror encased in wood that belonged to my Great Grandmother. I requested a beveled mirror.
