Prior to that time, Dave continued to correspond via emails, text, and phone calls to ensure that we were all on the same page. We changed several factors throughout the process and Dave never once complained. He continued to roll with the enhancements and even made additional suggestions that we did not think of at the time. When every thing was completed, his bid was exactly what he proposed and the additional carpet / laminate / slate that he left was an added bonus! This is the first time that we've used Dale's service but we will continue to use him in the future for any and all flooring needs.

The installation looked beautiful, and we were happy enough with the service to leave them a positive review. Unfortunately, just a few months later, several strands of lights stopped working. Because of the weather, we waited until May to contact the company about repairing or replacing the defective strands. We were repeatedly told that someone would come out over the weekend to fix them, but no one ever showed. This happened multiple times. Eventually, communication became inconsistent. Two weeks ago, Drew told us he had come by, determined that the lights needed to be replaced, and said he would return to make the repairs. Once again, no one came. When we followed up, he asked us how many strands were out, which was confusing if the lights had already been inspected. As of today, the issue remains unresolved despite months of follow-up. What began as a simple warranty or customer service request in May has turned into months of frustration. I believe a company's true character is shown not when everything goes smoothly, but in how they respond when problems arise. Based on our experience with the lack of follow-through and communication, I can no longer recommend Nature Touch/St. Charles Landscaping.

I didn't realize this until several months after the fact. They also admitted to me that they charge renters for services they don't provide - like changing the furnace air filter every few months. Once they sign you as a client, it is hard to get a return email or phone call when you need to speak with them.

We had to hire someone else to replace it to get occupancy permit approved.6) Left tenant repair requests go unfulfilled until tenant moved out (Broken window in door left for months after tenant reported, found to be boarded up at move out instead of repaired). Other tenant's complaint that stove was broken went without response for MONTHS. Wasn't until we stepped in as owners that it got resolved.7) When questions were raised about completeness of work, instead of offering to make good, they responded with accusations of poor manners to avoid having to do the work they were paid for (Ad Hominem, Tone Policing: Tone policing is an attack that focuses on the manner in which someone makes an argument, rather than on the argument itself.)I would be understanding if they said, look we have problems. However, they denied and refused to take ownership of their own problems until we put the houses up for sale and the realtor's photos showed the work was not done.

We paid Heritage to purchase and plant 7 Green Giant Arborvitae trees at our home on April 27,…read more2021. The proposal stated that all plants came with a one year replacement guarantee. Brandon Schlotz was our assigned project manager The trees were brown and dying by fall of 2021. We contacted Brandon who was very responsive. We were asked to "wait for the trees to come out of winter" He assured me that they would honor the guarantee no matter how long it took for the trees to recover. Spring came and the trees never recovered. Brandon was out here and when he began to dig under a couple of the trees he pulled out rope, and burlap. Shaking his head, he told us that he would be in touch with next steps. We also called a professional arborist to come take a look at the trees to be sure we were doing everything in our power to take good care of the trees. We were told we had done everything right. In November of 2022 Heritage says they sent someone out here to do a "deep seed fertilization" which did nothing to improve the trees. We contacted Brandon again and in Feb of 2023 he agreed that the trees needed to be replaced. We were told to wait until spring for new trees to be in from Home Nursery. In March of 2023 Brandon contacted us to say trees were in but that he would suggest we go with a different variety called Excelsa - we agreed. After researching ourselves we asked to purchase an 8th tree since this variety does not grow as wide as our original Green Giants. Brandon said he would be onsite for this planting since he said, "I should have watched more closely the first time." On April 5, 2023 Heritage came out and removed the 7 dead trees. Brandon suggested we buy a 9th tree to be sure we filled the space properly, so we did. The crew planted 9 Excelsa. We were charged an additional $610 for the 8th and 9th trees. THIS invoice was paid on 5/21/23 and it NOW states "Plant comes with one replacement within one year after the installation date". Within 2 months the trees began to look very bad. We attempted to contact Brandon, left messages for him and got no response. We sent numerous emails to Brandon and copied the company general email address as well Mike Estund. We sent pictures of the trees with no response. We were beyond frustrated and rather than asking them to replace the trees, we requested a FULL REFUND and for them to come out and remove the trees. Finally on 7/13/23 we spoke with Mike Estund who was definitely not interested in helping us. He was terribly rude even saying "How the hell did you kill 16 of my trees?!" He refused a refund by saying the guarantee was for ONE TIME ONLY. He also told us that he couldn't just remove the trees and leave empty holes because that would be a liability for his company. The conversation ended with Mike saying he would send us an email stating what he agreed to do and wanted it in writing that we wanted the trees removed and that we would take responsibility for the empty holes. That email from him never came and all further emails from us to them have gone unanswered. The now 8 dead trees (one is still hanging on) are still sitting standing and we are out $3060.00
