Small, vintage style ice cream shop with broad flavor offering. Seems popular as the line was pretty steady. Wanted a two scoop cup with Moose Track and Chocolate Chip cookie dough. They were out of Moose Track so I ordered the extreme moose track in place. Was disappointed though when I asked for fudge and server said "I mean, I can...." In an irritated tone, then proceeded to scoop off nearly all of the second flavor to put fudge on top. I would have rather her explain to me the issue than charge me for to flavors and give me one. What I was left with was choc chip cookie dough with fudge, which was okay. The ice cream did not stand out as anything beyond what you'd find at a common shop like Marble Slab or Coldstone. A decent local option if you're nearby but it worth going out of your way. Ended up eating maybe half and throwing the rest out. read more

I really have no idea why Central Dairy ice creams are famous. I believe it is because they are locally made and some of their flavors might stand out. However, the experience we had wasn't that great. As soon as we entered on a Sunday afternoon, the staff was lean and me and my husband got a black walnut ice cream flavor. The texture of the ice cream was good, but the walnuts tasted stale and weren't fresh at all. We had to throw away the ice cream because of it and weren't able to enjoy it at all and the stale walnut flavor was over powering it. I also observed that the ice cream showcase had old ice cream debris and it wasn't kept clean, which was a huge turnoff for me. The least expectation is to keep the shop clean. I do not understand the hype around it and I wouldn't be returning to try any other flavors. The two stars are only for the ice cream texture. read more

Their milk is local from Prairie farms. All the flavors are to die for, and the portions are LARGE. like a sundae literally comes in a pint. The waffle cones are basically 4 scoops. One thing to keep in mind when using a credit card, there is a five dollar minimum. If you can't find parking on the street or the tiny lot next to the building there is a bigger arking lot across the street. The second time we went... as we pulled into the parking lot every single person behind the counter(6 people) had their mask pulled down chatting to each other. The glass windows for the ice cream was pulled up so the product was exposed. We walk in and everyone but one person puts their mask on. The unawareness that it is not about you but the others they could pass germs to, is not only a huge disregard for the customers but for each that works there.
