Three Story Coffee is a great local coffee shop emphasizing its sustainability goals. With all of that, they serve a really good coffee -- although I was only fortunate enough to stop by twice, I was not disappointed either time. It was a smooth brew, not acidic or bitter and was absolutely the caffeine bump I needed after a long morning of meetings. The large two-story building offers plenty of seating, although late mornings they close off the second level which, because people tend to linger, does lead to seating shortfalls. Both floors are open concept with large windows letting in plenty of natural light. I can understand why this is a local gathering spot. As with many coffee shops, Three Story offers some light bakery items. Unfortunately, I think I'd stick with their outstanding coffee. The one food item I tried, a zucchini bread was unpalatable. There was no flavor to it except for the taste of the baking soda. Admittedly, I came late in the morning and there wasn't much left, so maybe just picked the wrong thing. Despite the glitch with the food, the main focus of this shop, the coffee can't be beat. I like the concept of Three Story captured in the name: your story, their story, and the farmer's.

Great local coffee shop in JC! They have single origin as well as coffee blends. I believe they also roast their own beans so you know you are getting fresh coffee. I really enjoyed the Ethiopian coffee and the ambiance is good too. You won't be disappointed!

Darling spot with AMAZING coffee. Straight Americano was the best I've had. A real gem in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Ran in for a coffee while hubs waited in the truck. Quick service, great coffee. Would definitely stop in again if in the area!

There is lots of seating, the coffee shop is decorated and feels cozy for fall, and the iced oatmilk latte with caramel is definitely a recommendation!

Orders: Blackberry Lavender Latte | Pumpkin Spice Oat Milk Latte OMG this place has the most incredible rotating syrup creations EVER!!!! One of my ordering rules is that if lavender is being offered, GET IT! & who would have thought to pair it with Blackberry?!?!?!?!! So delicate & fabulous!!! I love the vibe of this place & have been twice on 2 different trips from STL to KC, so it's becoming a regular stop! I always subtly Google for an alternative to Starbucks when someone in my group suggests we stop for coffee & I get a little bashful instructing them to make all these backroad turns to get to a local spot when Starbucks is always right off the freeway, so I was blushing the whole 1.5 miles or so off the highway as I gave my grandpa directions to this coffee shop I suspected me & my grandma would love, and it actually isn't out of the way at all so I had the courage to do it with my aunts on our last trip & no one complained and we all loooved our drinks!!! Friendly staff that is great at what they do without being snobby about it. I like kind coffee people as well as uppity ones, but I know that vibe isn't for everyone. Every staff I've ever interacted with has been totally delightful! I love that this place orders directly from coffee farmers! So important!!!! It's businesses like this that I want to have alllll the money!! Once I get a windfall of money, I'll be buying up all of their beautiful swag (awesome mugs, glassware, coffee & teas for sale). Spacious indoors with tons of seating, an upstairs & even an upstairs deck overlooking Columbia, which is a cool college town from what I gather. Can't see what's on the menu next time I'm in! Thank you gals, guys & beyond!!

After a downpour of rain, a good pour was just right- rainbow on capital included.

Tasted great and open later. Much needed and temped just right. Call it the Goldilocks coffee, temp, flavor, hours, and omniscience we're all just right. Fitting for Three Story Coffee! Cheers.

The best coffee in Jefferson City! Great place to work with plenty of seating. House made syrups! My favorite is their mocha.

Great coffee. Very large space inside. They close the second floor after noon. Good place for coffee and to get some work done.

Yes, the coffee is excellent -- well-crafted, smooth, and exactly what you want whether you're starting your day or taking a midday break (be sure to get a pastry or cookie, trust me on this!). But what really sets Red Wheel apart is that if you're not in the mood for coffee, you've got options. Their selection of alcoholic drinks makes this a perfect spot to transition from afternoon caffeine to early evening relaxation. Indoor seating is limited, but the ample outdoor seating more than makes up for it. Inside, the cozy space gives you a front-row seat to watch the barista work their magic, while also creating a great opportunity to chat with the owners and learn about the connected bike shop next door. Red Wheel Steam House strikes that perfect balance -- great coffee, flexible drink options, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a local, a Capitol regular, or just passing through Jefferson City, this spot is worth the stop.

The Lavendar Haze was a little too sweet for me.but the stepdaughter loved it. It was definitely good and very refreshing. Our lunch location didn't have Guiness stout, but the Red Wheel did, which made the hubs happy. I got an espresso AND an Espresso Martini. Both were delicious. The actual building is very small and has limited seating and room. Therefore, the coffee comes in nice paper cups. There is a wonderful outside seating area and would be amazing in the warmer weather. The barista was so nice and very efficient making our drinks. There were several people and more who came in, and he handled the rush gracefully They also offer batista classes, which I think would be super cool for a couples or girls only outing. Stop by and try them out!

It was also right across the street from my hotel which honestly merits one start all on its own. The reason it only gets two stars is that one of our drinks was pretty much not drinkable. I was tasked with picking up the food/drinks and the first thing that was off was how long it was taking them on our order, but that wasn't a huge deal, though maybe it should have tipped me off this wasn't the best starbucks location? Once our food and drinks were ready I picked them up and was on my way back to the hotel. My brown sugar shaken espresso was sort of separating which wasn't ideal, but the flavor was fine so I was okay with it. Not the best one I've had but also not the worst. My cousin ordered an iced nonfat vanilla latte though and she said it was the worst one she'd ever had, and if you know her, you know that she's not the pickiest of coffee drinkers so I believe her. It looked very watered down and it makes me wonder if they added ice before the espresso which is the wrong way to make an iced drink like this. Who knows, but long story short that's a very easy drink and to mess it up is not great. The long and short of this is that you might have an okay time here and you might not. I'd take a sip before you drive off.
