We had to carry our own wine tasting tray out to the mineral soak area, which felt unusual for a spa experience. It would have been a nice touch if the staff had delivered it or offered assistance. Another surprise was that towels are not included. I've never been to a spa that didn't provide complimentary towel service - you either have to bring your own or rent one, which seemed like an unnecessary extra for guests. The wine tasting itself was enjoyable, but the pours were served in tiny plastic sampling cups, which made the experience feel less refined than expected. The view from our soaking area was also disappointing. Rather than looking out over lush vineyards, we were facing dried vines straight ahead, with construction equipment and machinery off to the left. The green vineyards were off to the right but weren't really the view from where we were soaking. Despite these shortcomings, the mineral soak itself was relaxing and the overall atmosphere was peaceful. With a few improvements, the experience could feel much more in line with the premium spa experience the setting suggests.

Funny Story and then review... I set up for my wife to get a massage at my office. I am a nice guy sometimes and so I arranged for a 1.5 hour massage at my office away from the kids. Claire did an excellent job.. now the funny part! My wife left the office so relaxed that she made a left turn on an "orange" light in front of one of local police vehicles. As you could expect, the cop pulled her over and wrote her a ticket for running a red light. This however did not phase her... she proceeded home and just quietly declared that she got a ticket running a red light and went to bed. Claire is so good at getting you to relax that even after a $550 red light ticket... my beautiful wife still felt relaxed enough to head to bed and drool on her pillow. Great job Claire! She did an amazing job enough so that for NYE 2019, we asked her to repeat the experience at our new full-time home in Paso and truly enjoyed the experience again.
