Dr. Longshore is a great physician. She keeps my vision accurate enough to pass the pilot's eye exam. Without her, I would be grounded.

I had no other problems from my cataracts; no nighttime halos and rays when driving. Dr. Walker removed my cataracts, and my vision is now 20-20 and 20-25. HOWEVER, I now have significant problems driving at night. I have light rays coming down from traffic lights that extend into my car. I have light rays in my rear view mirror. There are starbursts from oncoming headlights. I see rays coming from my neighbors' porch lights, so I don't take evening walks. I can't drive at night without significant problems, and will not venture more than a mile from home. I'm completely disabled when it comes to nighttime driving. During the day, I sometimes have "fluttering." It's been 7 months since my surgery, and Dr. Walker has no idea why I'm having issues. She says I'm "seeing better than I ever have," referring to my prescription change, but completely disregarding the major problems I'm having. I would gladly wear contacts again if it meant I wouldn't be going through this ordeal.

She went thru the options and prices. totaling almost $700.00. I left the office and went home and reviewed my vision plans. I noticed she failed to pull up benefits for both plans, missed the VSP coverage which is by far the better coverage. I returned and pointed out the error and she initially pushed back on any oversight or mistake on her part. But I held firm and she finally acquiesced. The coverage under vsp resulted in my out of pocket for the same glasses and options was reduced to $190.00. I recently returned to the office to pick up the new glasses. Had a different optician. He was quite laid back and did not take any direction is assisting me thru the new glasses, how well they fit, whether they were a good size for my face etc. I instead had to step up and ask... so what do u need me to do? Oh read this card and see how well you can see... OK. anything else?? No not really, so I took it upon myself to stand up and look around the room and check far vision, reading signs and print around the office etc. He was quite unhelpful and really disengaged in the process. I have worn glasses since age 12. I have had many new optician experiences, this by far rates among the lowest in my expectations, quality and thoroughness and simple guidance and help.

It's not a walk in the park and the second time was more harsh than the second and yes there is aftercare -- lots of eye drops! The procedures were about a half hour each. The actual cutting was just a minute or two. It's far more strange than painful. Then it's over. It's only a day or so before you're able to do things again which really isn't bad considering the benefits. However, it's been 3 years now and it still is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Dr. Wasserman is INCREDIBLY kind, steady, patient, and knowledgeable. His staff is quick to remedy any issues that come up. I've been going back for eye checkups there ever since. Office is clean. Wait times are reasonable. Location is perfect. I've sent my friends there for checkups and Lasik consultations and they've had good experiences as well. HIGHLY, highly, highly recommend!

When she wasn't cooperating (because she's just over a year old and had been waiting for over an hour) he was getting more and more frustrated, stopped the exam, told me nothing was wrong and to try again in 3-4 months the when my daughter was a bit more cooperative. Worst bedside manner I've ever seen from any doctor/medical professional. There are other eye doctors that will actually care about you and your child
