Also the prices are very competitive and the facility is local to where I live. He has also been happy to do last minute accommodations when i have had to do that. It is not a fancy dog hotel nor are there a bunch of bells and whistles but John is attentive, professional and calm which is a good quality to have when working around dogs. He also offers other services like dog walks during boarding and grooming. When i come to pick up or drop off I see him working the grounds or busy in the kennels. His home is right on the property which is nice. Our latest dog was not well socialized at first and not great with men but has had no issues with him, although jokes about his barking (which is very true). Some things to keep in mind...make sure to offer specific instructions (and write down) if your dog has special needs like feeding times, medication, etc. Also take note of the hours. One day and on weekends he closes earlier than normal. (Sunday's pick up is only an hour long). Finally if your dog goes to the bathroom on the property and you don't have a bag, let John know where it is and he'll gladly pick it up for you. I will happily continue to keep boarding my pets here.

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. I appreciated their new customer process, which allowed me to leave him for a trial appointment of a few hours. That was just enough time to see how much he enjoyed being with the other dogs. While he was there, they sent pictures every night, and he looked so happy. I also reserved a bath before pickup and tooth brushing during his stay. Website hours: "12a-12p." Building flashes a neon "open" sign: we go up to pick up my dog after no answers and told pick up is at 9am via a ring camera. Terrible communication. Very very Misleading information on the website and we're a loving caring and now very anxious family who wanted nothing more than to pick up their dog and bring her home. NEVER AGAIN. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Who implies a 24 operation and doesn't answer phones and when we show up during business hours they aren't there for us to pick up our dog?? We show up at 9am and it was like she wasn't even there. Not familiar with our dog. Asked if our dog was black or yellow in color. She is neither. Took 20 minutes to get checked out. Here is a photo of our call logs that were never answered. My girl is home and safe and I'm grateful this is the last time we'll ever set foot in this place.

Prior…read moreto him starting there, we had lost him over the 4th of July for 5 nights and when we found him he was unharmed but scared of a lot of things he was never scared of before. Back then, the staff were so friendly and supportive of him and helped him get over his fears. The staff today are still incredible and Griswold has the best time when he's there! It's by far his favorite place on the planet! Whether he's going for day care or just to chase balls at the park, he is his happiest self when he's at wags! We are grateful for such a fun, safe, and clean place to bring him all year round. He's able to socialize with other pups and burn some energy, which we appreciate a lot! I cannot recommend Wag n Paddle highly enough!!!
