This review is long overdue. Our pup Griswold has been going to Wag n Paddle since July 2022. Prior to him starting there, we had lost him over the 4th of July for 5 nights and when we found him he was unharmed but scared of a lot of things he was never scared of before. Back then, the staff were so friendly and supportive of him and helped him get over his fears. The staff today are still incredible and Griswold has the best time when he's there! It's by far his favorite place on the planet! Whether he's going for day care or just to chase balls at the park, he is his happiest self when he's at wags! We are grateful for such a fun, safe, and clean place to bring him all year round. He's able to socialize with other pups and burn some energy, which we appreciate a lot! My pups have a great time here. The staff is caring and friendly and really get to know your dogs. I appreciated getting a friendly tour of the space (kennels included), as well as, the detailed questionnaire on the form and doggie audition to determine friendliness and comparability. I've only used the daycare "canine college." The space is HUGE (about 5x the size compared to our former Chicago go-to). It includes a nice indoor and outdoor area with a roll up door so pups can choose where they want to be. All dogs are mixed right now but they have plans to create a small dog area. There's a web cam to check on them during the day if they're inside and you get cute pictures shared via text after you pick them up. I really appreciate that the staff pays attention too. One of my pups is a senior and they let me know when her leg was shaking one day. Really makes you feel like they're watching out for them. The only two small downsides are that there's no discount for your 2nd dog and they're so popular getting a reservation is tricky. Luckily they're always willing to put your pups on the waitlist and confirm the day before if they have space for you. read more

We love brining our dog here. It's a great indoor option when the weather outside isn't ideal (rain, cold, extreme heat, etc). The place is kept clean and there is always an employee in the open area keeping an eye on the dogs and ready to handle any potential issues with the dogs or cleanup and accidents. It's nice to have a place inside to let our dog run around that we don't have to worry about poop all over the place which seems to be an issue at the outdoor dog parks. They also have pools for dogs to swim which is a nice option. They can swim with and instructor and it really tires them out! A bit pricey for the swimming, but worth it if you have a high energy dog to wear out. read more

I thought I would try this facility as it offers a variety of options so I signed up my Bichon for swim lessons there a previous summer. Sadly, I was not taken with my trainers attitude or level of service despite a few conversations and given the expense. Maybe mine was an isolated experience but the trainer, who turned out to be the owner's high school daughter was rather inflexible with a variety of things and I felt I didn't get my money's worth nor was I satisfied with the level of customer service she provided. Update 4/2/2020: My pups have been going to Wag N Paddle for over a year now. My golden absolutely loves going as you can see in the pics and she's become SO confident in the water and a strong swimmer. She loves to jump off the side of the pool too and would try to do that all day if she could We always have a great time at our swim sessions. My foster dog Bernard even goes once a month and Crystal G swims him. He was very nervous to start (and he's not always the best with new people) but she handled him so well! Don't let your nerves stop your dogs from getting out there and having fun. WNP has some very experienced and savvy staff for all dogs! My dogs are not always great in social settings and this is an awesome way for them to have fun and build confidence and become the best dogs they can be! We wanted a facility that accommodates a shy dog a 48 lb Goode doodle puppy for lodging during our vacation . This place was not the fit. We attended puppy classes there which were good. The place is busier than they can handle. Communication is poor among the staff and messages won't be returned Despite doing puppy classes, day care time, our dog didn't qualify for lodging as she was referred to as nervous. This was communicated to us three weeks after her assessment meeting despite multiple calls by us but they are busy and will get back to you when they want. read more

What a great place! The entire staff adores and cares for our dogs like their own. My dog starts crying as soon as we pull in as she wants to get out and play with her daycare friends. She is a rescue and went in her first few times very nervous. What she has learned from enrichment is amazing and her confidence has blossomed since that first visit. Today was our first experience ever at Wag 'N Paddle & we can't rave enough about them. The owner, Matt is extremely friendly & accommodating to us. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. Our favorite was the swim instructor, Crystal. She was so patient with our dogs and when one of our bulldogs showed signs of distress, she remained calm and knew exactly what to do while I was panicking. I have a Pug who is a little diva and has pretty bad separation anxiety and HE LOVES it here. He doesn't even look back to say goodbye when I drop him off at Daycare. I love that they send you a "report card" with pictures included at the end of the day so you can see your fur child with his besties. We've been coming here since 2020 and we both love it. The staff is beyond amazing and super friendly. Shannon and her team are excellent. Love that they teach your baby how to swim and offer swim sessions it really helps keep my boy in shape. I checked this place out in the spring of 2021, had an e-val for my dog (Yorkie) who is non-verbal. From that moment on he has had a blast here. Since then he has been in daycare, swim classes, and free play on the weekends. The staff is great, patient, can explain and really make furr baby parents feel comfy here. Nothing is more rewarding knowing I can take my baby somewhere to have fun and staff care so much about him knowing he cant talk. The climate controlled park is clean and well supervised so you know your dog is safe while playing with other dogs. The swim sessions are amazing -- again, totally supervised, my dog has a blast and burns off some serious steam quickly. Membership includes all-you-can-wash bath privileges in their deluxe self-serve wash with big easy access tubs, shampoos, towels, high velocity dryers, brushes, everything you need and there are 4 stations so I've never had to wait. My Golden Retriever puppy Theo had severe timidity - I didn't adopt him until he was 7 months old. The first time I brought him to Wag 'N Paddle, he was shaking from nose to tail - but the staff worked with Theo that first time, and every time after - and I was able to see him become more and more confident and able to interact with other dogs. The staff is AMAZING! Everyone is working together to help dogs and dog-parents be comfortable and confident. The space is enormous, Theo LOVES running without a leash! I boarded my dog there a few weeks ago and it really took awhile for me to want a post a review. I dropped my dog off for a short few days stay; her first time boarding at this facility. I brought her, a bed, and her containers of food to be fed during the duration of her stay. The employee, Joey, checked us in and had me sign all of the forms. He was extremely helpful and explained everything to me super well. We confirmed her feedings for the stay and the pickup time for her 3 days later. The day of her pickup however I received a phone call while at work from the manager; saying my dogs pickup was 9 am and I was now late and she had no room for her to stay. Confused I called them back letting them know I confirmed her pickup time with Joey and I had paid for her to have a scheduled day at daycamp with them. She continued to argue with me and tell me I needed to pick her up right away. I called my parents to pick her up for me since I was at work. They then called me and let me know they gave us ALL of her food back; over the course of 3 days she wasn't fed any of her meals. I was completely shocked and so angry when the manager told them she was told we were just storing my dogs food at the facility. How does it make sense that I have my dog boarded for 3 days and 2 nights but I didn't want her fed? She was throwing up bile at home from being so hungry. The manager then called after the fact and said my dogs pickup time later that day was correct and she was scheduled for day camp (which they did charge me for), and it was "her bad". She was extremely rude, unprofessional and I have no trust that they would properly care for my dog the second time around. We use another facility that we love; I won't be giving this facility another try and I suggest you don't either. read more

Great place. Have not used the pools, but the indoor dog park is a great option. Very clean, and staff is working hard all the time to keep things clean and safe for the dogs. They are monitored the whole time and any incidents are handled quickly which keep things safe. It is very nice to be in a climate controlled indoor area when too cold or raining out or the other parks would be a muddy mess. Not friendly to dogs that have not been fixed. A temperament test should be the deciding factor if a dog is allowed in or not. My husband and I spent 30 minutes speaking to a associate during the tour and they mentioned nothing about this rule. My dog attends a day care regularly and has had no issues what so ever. He goes to the off leash dog park which is a uncontrolled environment and he does excellent. It's a shame your establishment doesn't allow dogs that are not fixed. read more
