Their contract limits their liability from most major pieces of damage they do to your home, even from negligence. Don't tread lightly with these guys. Despite that, when I offered if they could give a crew that has done good work in the past, they begged me to take down a negative review that was due to bad prior interactions. I said I could remove it in good faith if we move forward with a crew that hasn't done bad by homeowners. They couldn't do it. That speaks volumes as to the quality I can expect from them! read more

Had my foundation repaired and lifted finished October 23, 2025 and today 11/10/25 finally got my report indicating that the foundation is now level. The crew doing the work were great. Finished in 4 days. Ceiling, walls and floor tiles all closed up really nicely! 15 perimeter and 4 in garage steel piers installed. Raised appropriately 4 inches on one corner caused water main and sewer line to break/ leak. Overall Centex did a great job. Except for slow final reporting. read more

FALSE ADVERTISING!! So I've seen all their commercials on the Austin TV stations about the free evaluation... So I thought I would give them a try. Went to their website, looked at their Austin Service Area, noticed that Burnet County is included so I completed the online request form. A couple of days later (today), I get a phone call from them telling me that they DO NOT offer free evaluations for Marble Falls (Burnet County). The lady informed me that they don't have enough people to send staff to Marble Falls and I would have to pay a $95 inspection fee. After telling her that the website reflects Burnet County, she stated, yes, they really need to update the website!! As far as I am concerned, this is false advertising... kind of a bait and switch policy. While I do not have any actual experience of their service, I am hesitant to use them based on my experience. read more

Be sure to note that they do not repair damages they do to your sprinklers. I can understand a damaged sprinkler head or something minor but I never imagined they would cut through my sprinkler main and walk away. I went with them because they were the low bid and the sales person they sent seemed to know what he was talking about but the cost of the damages puts them well past the highest bidder. Not to mention the frustration of having to find someone else to do repairs and leaving a huge hazardous hole next to my driveway while I find someone to fix it. read more

They didn't complete the job I agreed upon with "Sales," and "Operations" never communicated with me during the process as defined in the contract. They damaged my entryway and still charged the full amount. I hope I never have to do business with them again. read more

I had an appt with someone to give me a quote on my father's house. While he was prompt, he also seemed in a hurry to head out. He quickly, within half an hour or so, went inside with his tablet and walked to the backyard. He immediately tells me $48k and starts his talk about financing. This felt like a used car salesman. My dad's house is small. $48k seems too high and I began to really question CenTex. Talking to real estate friends, they said they never suggest CenTex because their prices are far too high compared to other very reputable companies. I received more quotes and let me tell you, nowhere even near $48k and they didn't even once begin to tell me about financing. Instead, I got a handshake, asked how I was, they were all very friendly vs this CenTex salesman. $11,200 from them, warrantied for life of the house, and offers the same. CenTex needs to pay for their radio commercials and patented equipment. I'd go get more quotes if I were you and compare. I'm definitely going with another company. Edit: The recommendation of CenTex and others is the same. It doesn't matter that Kenny suggested no work needed to be done but that that there was this immediate push and talk about financing. $48k??? Are you serious? Absolutely not. CenTex offers nothing better but will charge you highly. It's very off putting when a so called reputable company charges so high above the competitors that they lose business. This tells anyone that they are more about money than really helping a consumer. Seriously, even after explaining my father passed away, "It'll be $48k. We have a great financial plan. Our ceiling and walls began having cracks in it two years ago. The plumbing was even affected - we paid for that separately through a different company (but it was a $5k job on its own). For the foundation, we paid for the lifetime warranty through CenTex. The holes in the pictures you see are along the entire base of the house. A CenTex inspector even came by and said they didn't back fill it correctly. A $10,000 job with a lifetime warranty and they're making us fill in all that dirt they didn't do properly! If you hire them, they'll fix your foundation - that's their job. But they aren't going to honor their lifetime warranty despite one of their own agents saying it wasn't done correctly. I'd search around for someone else if I were you. They're not the only foundation repair in the Austin area. read more

I had foundation problems and CenTex Foundation came out 2 years ago, in 2020, and did foundation work. The work on the foundation cost close to $10,000. They fixed the foundation and the work is guaranteed for life. This year I had deep sinkholes along my whole wall in the back where some of the work was done. The holes are 1&1/2 feet deep. Derek, a representative of CenTex, came out and said that it didn't look like they backfilled it right. Said he had to talk to his boss,Isaac. Derek called me back and said they refused to do anything! He said sometimes things like this happen but it's the owners job to fill the holes!! Lousy response for guaranteed work. I had my foundation lifted last week and they did an exceptional job. It was a great group of guys that worked their tails off. The foundation was 5" lower in the back half of my house. I'm amazed I didn't have pipes burst. It required numerous steel pilers around the back and 2 holes that needed to be dug in the middle of my tiled bedroom. They had to go 27' to reach bedrock! It seems everyone in my neighborhood has had to do foundation repairs. I'm just glad I used CenTex. Not only were they friendly and courteous, they filled all my flowerbeds with the extra dirt and offered to spread it over my yard. Not that to me is going above and beyond. I had CenTex come to my home and evalutate my foundation which appeared to have shifted after foundation repair was completed almost 20 year ago. I called on their life-time warranty which I had received at that time. When the tech came out he didn't really explain to me my issues but I did tell him that a leak had been detected from a plumber who had recently ran a camera through my drain pipes underneath the slab. He quickly got measurements and said he'd get me a quote. I left a review after never the the quote and then I received a call from Isaac one of the owners at CenTex Foundation Repair. He sat and explained to me the issues my foundation was having, which I didn't know. I had a leak test done under the slab and over time it shifted the foundation. It wasn't the type of work done years ealier but a slow water leak underneath which made the soil soft and movement occured. The explaination of what was happening really made things clear and easy to understand. Isaac was very knowledgeable and knows that there are differnt types of dirt in Austin and different areas might shift or have movement than other locations. I, unfotunately was in one of those area that seemed to have movement. His customer service skills with me was excellent communication and easy to follow. CenTex strives to make sure customers understand their foundation because it can be a substantial cost when a home requires leveling such as mine. Not sure where to start, A (potential) buyer hired Centex to come out and further check our house foundation. The home inspector noted the home was a little out of balance. After getting back the results we were SHOCK that our house foundation had issues, We don't have any signs of bad foundation, no crack floors, no bad window trims and doors close with no issues. We ONLY received a bid for $20,000, no summary of what's wrong. After doing research(google foundation repair vs structural engineer) I discover foundation repair company specializes in lifting houses. A structural engineer specializes in designing and understanding buildings So, a structural engineer was hired. After getting back our results the Structure engineer DID NOT recommend any repairs. Their numbers were way LOWER than Centex. We lost a potential customer and our house being on the market longer than expected. I believe from others that posted here they just want the money regardless if you need repairs " So, honestly, I feel that Centex is not honest and is greedy! I was a bit wary that CenTex might win by default, but they sent Kenny out to inspect our foundation less than 24 hours after I called. We had received several other estimates from other companies for our foundaiton. Some said we needed our beams completely redone, others said we were fine. We teamed up with 2 of our neighbors for a bit of a discount. The work was done efficiently, cleanly, and on time. My concerns resulting in 3 stars? I seriously doubt they pushed pilings down into the ground like their graphics on the website states. They dug down about 4 feet, placed a solid concrete block down, put two 6" or 8" x 12" piers on top, and started jacking. I raised this question to the "engineer" who came out to inspect the work, and he just hemmed and hawed and gave a half ass answer. Also, his "inspection" consisted of walking around once, introducing himself, and that was it. The plumbing company used to test for leaks is owned by Centex. Bias? As an aside for those considering foundation work, look into having a independent engineer come out and give their recommendations. It's worth the $300 to get an unbiased opinion. If i had to do it over again, I probably wouldn't. Or I would go with a company who would drill down, place rebar, and pour concrete piers. There is a reason buildings are built that way. read more

Within a week of my reporting the plumbing issue caused by the foundation repair, Centex made everything right. The plumber (their subcontractor) thought he had to go through out new living room floor, which would have been a giant inconvenience since we have a concrete overlay. Fortunately, Enrique from Centex facilitated a solution that made it possible to fix the pipes without destroying our new floor. After an engineer checked things out, the Centex guys excavated a tunnel through bedroom closet to the spot underneath the living room where the pipes were switched. They had the work done in about 2 days. It did make a mess, but Centex covered the cost to have the floors professionally cleaned, so we are satisfied. read more

I recently bought an old 1930s house that I am remodeling and adding a second story. The foundation needed a complete overhaul. Big job! I was on site pretty much every day for one thing or another so I really saw what was going on. The guys doing the hard labor were exceptionally helpful. I couple times someone saw me struggling with something unrelated to the foundation and ran over to give me a hand. I think that is unusual practice and a testament to the quality of people they employ. I actually kind of miss seeing those guys around. They just made me happy. Enrique was my primary contact and again I just really liked the guy. I called him so many times with questions and I never got the impression I was putting him out. I am well aware that I can be a bit challenging in that I want to know exactly what's going on and I inspect constantly making sure things are as expected. Consequently I'm very aware if I'm annoying someone. I never felt that way. I had a great experience with Centex. Everyone I worked with was both professional and extremely friendly. I was calling frequently with questions and concerns - they consistently responded with lighting speed and patient consideration. The job was completed in a timely manner and I'm thrilled with the outcome. Any issues were sorted out quickly (nothings perfect so a true test for the quality of a business is how they respond when its not). Plus, they gave me the best bid. I recently used Centex to repair a foundation on a house I am trying to purchase in Round Rock. I am giving them 1 star for several reasons, here's why: 1. They are extremily messy and careless with their work. When confronted about spray paint on the siding of the house marking places to dig and install piers for the foundation repair, Centex denied they had anything to do with it and refused to remove it. 2. They were reckless with the interior of the house, destroyed a $2,000 tile floor with out even menting they were going to do so, an entry door, put holes in the walls, and took corners off the doors jams and walls. 3. Mud and concrete dust is everywhere in the house, all over the walls and even the celing. Food containers smashed into the dirt, along with completly destroying the landscaping with no attempt to fix it. 4. When Centex was asked to repair damages they caused (un-related to the foundation being leveled, these damages were caused gross negligence) they said they are not responsible. In what business is it okay or professional to not clean up anything, damage property, charge over $23,000 and they say it's up to you to take care of the rest? Thanks Centex for giving me a low-ball estimate so I would go with your company, and then charging 3x as much in the end and not even having the common decency to clean up after yourself. read more

I've worked with Centex several times and have always been IMPRESSED. Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, whether slab or p & b. Isaac is a rockstar; all of their people go the extra mile to make sure everything is right, and none of them are afraid to get their hands dirty. (It's amazing what they can do, even with hard clay-laden dirt, in a tiny foundation hole, in the middle of winter.) As a property owner, I have come across estimates and finished product from a variety of companies. None are as consistently professional, thorough, knowledgable, selfless, and honest as Centex in providing estimates, and I have seen the failing results of the unknown cheap companies on too many occasions, by owners who go with the discount no-name brand to actually do the work. Granted, it's not always good news from a foundation repair company. But if the property does have foundation issues, it's important that it is clearly communicated by a thoughtful professional and not overblown for selfish purposes. read more
