We have been looking for good breakfast diners in Centralia. We read that Centerville Cafe had reopened under new management, so we went there this morning. We were very pleased with the new look and feel of the place. We had a delicious breakfast with great service and price.-- We recommend it highly. We will be back! read more

This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside; it had a diner feel to it, to me. I was VERY impressed with how tasty their ham was. My dad had a ham steak and some eggs, toast, and hash browns. He loved his and I loved mine. I had diced ham in my eggs smothered with cheese, hashbrowns, and also sourdough toast. Yum! I usually don't get hashbrowns because they are usually greasy. These hashbrowns were not greasy at all. They were really delicious. The waiter was super friendly and kept checking on us to see how everything was going, but not too much. Overall, everything was really perfect. The bill wasn't even very much. Maybe $22 for two big breakfasts and two coffees. Very reasonable for breakfasts that are not fast food. VERY happy with my experience. DEFINITELY recommend! Thanks. read more

Busy little diner. We were there on a Sunday and they were short handed but still hustling. I had bacon and eggs. Boyfriend has a stack of pancakes. Bacon and eggs were good, egg was done correctly, five slices of bacon. Pancakes were BIG. My giant boyfriend couldn't finish the whole stack which is rare. We'll go back to this place. read more

A little gem in the heart of old town Centralia! This no frills diner is where some of the best home cooked, comfort food is made. The staff is always friendly. I think I have had a good conversation with everyone in the place including the cooks and the dishwasher. I tend to go in when it is slower as to not slow down anyone's meal. Yet on busy days when I have been there, the conversation has not slowed down that kitchen one bit! Papers are always on hand up front and kids are always welcome. The wife and I visited the Centerville Cafe for breakfast and came away impressed. All of the food we ordered was very good. My wife asked that her hash browns be extra crispy and they came out perfect and much crispier than mine. The coffee is also good as well. Service was excellent. A-OK is perfect for this place. Its your typical diner food with your typical diner patrons. The only thing not typical was the super friendly staff. Usually diners attract staff for life. People that hate their job. The two ladies that helped me were great. The kitchen was a little slow but that's to be expected at a place like this. They have one guy prepping cooking and apparently doing dishes. You can see right into the kitchen from the bar. This place obviously has a lot of regulars. Since they seem to all know each other. Centerville is a cite place for breakfast. Almost vintage type soda jerk decor reminiscence of the 60's. Larry had traditional two beggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. They cooked the hashbrowns light the way he likes them. I had apple crepes. They were done pretty well. Crepes kind of perfectly Apple not too sweet just the right amount of whip cream. A great hometown diner! Hidden gem! The wait staff is attentive and very friendly! The best thing I noticed is that the waiter knew everyone's name! He was sweet and was on top of it! I wish we could go every Saturday to be greeted with such great service! Not to mention the awesome chicken fries steak deal is a no brainer! Real eggs no substitutes! (I only give 4 stars because I have been once and only for breakfast--but this place was amazing first time around!) the bathrooms were clean and so was the atmosphere it's not an overly packed with nonsense on the wall! Excellent place to get a bite to eat. Recommended in the morning especially! Centerville has a hometown feel to it. The staff are very friendly and make you feel like you are visiting with friends. The food is also excellent. Every time I have breakfast here it is exactly what I imagine it to be via the menu. Hmm, These Yelp reviews kinda steered us wrong. I think if you know what to expect, then it's better than the fairytale you paint in your head after reading these reviews. The service was great. Our server was nice enough and very accommodating when we asked for an extra bowl, napkins, etc. The food is cheap and diner-ish. Smaller portions and less quality ingredients are probably why the prices are pretty low. The coffee was watered down. The food just looked depressing and it kinda tasted that way, too. Everyone in the restaurant was over 65. We drove here for breakfast to take a break from GWL and I kinda wish we just went to Burger Claim for breakfast since it was much closer. read more

Ate here today for the first time after staying at the Olympic Club hotel right across the street. We had absolutely amazing kind service and it was great to see a home style small town cafe where everyone at the door where regulars and they knew them by their first name. We had a party of five and were seated right away at a great spot by the window. Food came out timely, I had the breakfast sandwich and it was fabulous, and everyone else in my party had good things to say about their food as well. Our servers name was George and he was lovely. Overall an absolutely amazing experience if we're ever in this part of town again we will absolutely be back. read more
