We love this spot. It's hidden just a half mile from Mass Ave and sits in an up-and-coming area in an almost strip mall type setting. Their location is perfect - close to downtown/Mass Ave., an entire parking lot to themselves, and room for food trucks. They have trivia on Thursdays and offer fun board games and arcade games for patrons to enjoy. They don't offer food [except pretzels and broad ripple chips], but ClusterTruck does deliver here and they occasionally have a food truck outside. I love their "Gold" Kolsch and my husband likes their "Black" porter which is served with a marshmallow. The atmosphere is laid-back, casual, and fun. The bartenders are super nice and helpful when you're undecided on a beer - they let you sample any beer and offer their suggestions. The service here has always been great. I've been here a few times and have really enjoyed it. The last time I came my friend and I walked in and they were apparently closed, but were having an employee meeting. As we walked back to the car, one of the owners came out and told us he'd serve us a drink. I have to say, that's some of the best costumer service I've ever had! The beers here are great! Centerpoint has a young crowd in a hip industrial complex, is dog friendly, features pinball machines and sports on massive TV's. What I like best is the variety of beers (the Indiana Imperial IPA is my favorite) and the chill atmosphere. Lounge outside or chill inside. Half sizes of beer for the win! Full disclosure, this was stop four on the Indy Brew Bus Tour, so my memory of this place may be a little hazy. I'm not a beer person, so my reviews of breweries are more about the experience than the actual beer. If you're a beer snob, this review may not help you, however, for my occasional beer drinkers out there, I'll be speaking your language. I'm a dark beer drinker, so I always ask for a porter/stout. As long as they have one porter/stout option, I'm solid. They had two here! I sampled both and went with the one I enjoyed more. I am hugely appreciative that they have half drink options. My beer was $4, whereas a normal pint would have been $6. At first, I thought they were going to pour it in a normal glass, just halfway, but they actually have glasses specific for the smaller size. I'm such a fan of this concept. It gives us lightweights a chance not to kill our livers. The atmosphere of the place is super laid back. They also allow dogs inside, which is a good perk for people with fur babies. For those of us nonlovers of dogs, it wasn't that big a deal, because the place is big enough that I didn't feel trapped. This would be a place I would go if I want a casual outing where I could just hang out. read more

Centerpoint Brewing is located northeast of the city in the Circle City Industrial Complex and it is a great place to grab a beer and hang out with friends. During a bike tour of Indy this was my first stop, and the first sip of Centerpoint Gold was the best tasting sip of beer I've ever had. Yes, I was tired, hot and parched, but still - delicious. Even my wife, NOT a beer fan, liked it. The tasting room is spacious and the bar has plenty of seating. There is a large room off the side with even more seating. They even have a nice selection of games to keep your mind occupied while you quaff their offerings. Apparently, they often have food trucks in the parking lot (plenty of free off street parking). But this afternoon they had a catering guy who's preparing to open his own place. Great BBQ, mac-n-cheese and green beans. Perfect with the beer. I stopped in at the Circle City Industrial Complex (CCIC) after lunch on Friday and was pleasantly surprised to see they have added a new parking lot on the south end, right outside the entrance of Centerpoint Brewery. Seemed like a great place to start my exploration of the CCIC. The open space had two main public areas: The tasting room and to the left a separate room with tables. Most customers selected to be seated at the long bar since the only wait staff was the bartender. Like most places, the menu is on a board to the left side of the large decorative tap display. They also have printouts with the current brews with a description including % alcohol, IBU, and a write up of the flavors. I asked about flights since it was my first time here. The flight portions are 5 ounces each with a minimum of 4 selections, but as many as 7. (I got the 4 for $9 option.) The first thing I noticed was that the names were pretty straightforward which made it easy to get a feel for the type of beer without reading much. My selections were the "Gold", "Black", "Dopplebock", and "Winter Wit". The Gold was a Kolsch (4.6%, 24 IBU) that had a really light flavor that I could see paring up with a meal. Definitely the gateway beer for newbies transitioning from commercial beers. I really enjoyed the smooth flavor. The Black was a Porter (6.5%, 34 IBU) with a rich dark color and a chocolate flavor malt. Again, this was a smooth flavor without any strange side tastes. Pretty good overall. The Dopplebock (8.0%, 21 IBU) had a bit more complexity than the other two. It took on a roasted flavor with a little bit more kick since the alcohol content was increased. Finally, the Winter Wit was a Witbier (5.0%, 48 IBU) that had a definite herbal aroma of coriander and cilantro which carried through on the flavor on the initial taste, but kept from building and avoided becoming overpowering. This kept the bitterness in check from the higher IBU content. As I drank more of the serving, the citrus flavor became more noticeable. Very nice option for someone wanting to expand beyond the basic commercial beer/pilsners. The bartender was busy, but had a pleasant demeanor and was able to answer questions about the beer, the company, and the CCIC. I found out that a restaurant was being planned across the parking space but since it was early in construction, hard to say when it would be available. Since they don't make their own food, Centerpoint has a rear entrance where food trucks can drive into the building and run on building utilities instead of having to run a generator or their truck to power the food line. So, no having to go outside to grab a bite during winter months. The bad news is that the food trucks are only there part of the time. You may need to contact the owners of Centerpoint for a better idea of the schedule. Otherwise, you can bring in your own food options. Overall, I was pleased with the beer and the service. If you haven't stopped by the CCIC in a while, take Mass Avenue just north of 10th Street and find free parking there. Review #241 read more

I visited Centerpoint last night for the first time with a small group of friends. One of the things that really pulled us to this location was their dog-friendliness! Not only do they let dogs in, they also have a small bin of treats for visiting furry pals. We took our Australian Shepard who's just over a year old - it was her first time visiting a 'sit-down' sort of place and the treats played a huge role in adjusting her to the environment. The atmosphere was laid back and friendly. It was trivia night, which I would definitely recommend hitting up if trivia is your thing or if you're curious to try it out. The trivia-bro had an array of questions across genres so no one in the audience was catered to by generation or hobby. The staff were definitely busy but they took the time to talk to you as they helped with whatever you needed. I like my beer either really dark or really sour so I was glad to see a line up that includes more than just IPAs. They had a porter, stout, and weiße on the menu. I went with the Berliner Weiße and I was not let down! While they don't have food, they do partner with various food trucks - but I'll review them separately. We will definitely be headed back to Centerpoint soon! read more

Finally made it to this brewery! I've heard so many people talk about the location/brews and rave about it! I ordered the flight and did all 5 beers they had available at the time. My favorite was the Winter Wit! My date ordered a point of the White IPA and he loved it too. The vibe is here is amazing. It's a little off the beaten path but we walked here from Mass Ave and it was a short walk. The staff was welcoming and informed us what they currently had on tap. I wish they had a few more options, they only had 5 beers on tap at the time. I heard they ususally have food trucks outside which is a nice compliment as well. Absolutely love this place! Conveniently located in the Circle city industrial complex, Centerpoint brewing is a wonderful brewery in a beautiful setting. It is just a little past mass Avenue off of 10th St. Close to the newly opening Bottleworks company. I love this brewery for many reasons. Every time I come here I try something new and I'm always pleased. They also have live music in the summer months which is a nice addition to their facility. Bathrooms are clean. You can serve yourself water so you keep hydrated while enjoying the delicious beer. You can host private events or reserve tables for special events. I had my birthday party here and Had a very easy time reserving a table to the event coordinator for a small fee. I also love the outdoor space, as it remains pretty chill and you get to enjoy the sunset in the summer. I will always consider Centerpoint when craving a beer. read more

Great find in Indy! We were driving around and ran across Centerpoint. Really not knowing what to expect, we ordered a flight and found a table. The setting is super chill, it looks like the inside of a garage, but still pretty cozy in the cold months. Definitely a neat place to check out in the summer! What a great brewery and location. There is not a lot around, and is just a tad off Mass Ave, which is why I had never been here before. We found it when heading to 8th day distillery for an event, and thought we'd stop in for a beer on our way home. I love the warehouse feel, as well as the large open tables and laid back atmosphere. They have lots of pinball machines that look fun, and a nice patio area tucked in their parking lot. I really enjoyed the Belgian IPA, and my wife loved their kolsch with a lemon twist. Very good beers. I have been to most breweries in the city's metro and there are probably 3 tiers overall IMO: tier one (top 5 or so breweries in city, have unique beers or something else that sets them apart such as food.), tier 2 which is 80 percent where they are solid but a dime a dozen, and tier 3 which is underwhelming minority of breweries that just dont do a good job (one comes to mind but it closed in tow yard). This place is a tier one in my book, thus a top 5 Indianapolis brewery. They won beer of the year in 2018 by nuvo in their blood orange IPA (which is awesome but not even their best IPA arguably). Love the open concept over at circle city industrial complex. Easy walk from northeast end of mass ave. Nice to get a buzz and walk around complex to see some unique local art. Close walk to 8th day distillery as well making this a more enticing little mini bar crawl if you top it with doorman st. read more

This is a great spot to watch Tottenham matches! The Indy Spurs club meets here to watch on the big screen and have a pint. Their cold-brew coffee is also worth your time if you're in the area. I visited for the first time last night to support the Tap Out Cancer event for St. Jude and I was impressed! My favorite beer was the raspberry sour, but I also thought the blood orange IPA & cold brew flavored beer were very unique as well. The atmosphere is very industrial and chill. There's no food onsite, but they provided menus and coupons to order from ClusterTruck, which was also very good! Centerpoint has many TVs to relax and watch sports or they have board games to borrow and play as well. There is indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of space! The location, the beer, the service....I'm really loving this place! In a location easily accessible from the Mass Ave. district as well as anywhere in the city via the Monon Trail! This brewery has plenty of seating, and at least 8 of their on brewed delights on tap! Their beers are impressive especially for a new brewery. I quite enjoyed both Gold and Black, but they also produced a great version of the current fruity pale ale trend with their blood orange IPA. Even my non-IPA loving friends enjoyed it. I missed the memo about the black with the marshmallow (I got the black as part of a sampler), so I'll definitely be heading back to give it a whirl! read more

Brewery reviews are harder and harder to write each time a new one opens. It's harder to stand out, and the best seem to find a way to embed themselves into the fabric of a neighborhood as to make it intractable. By being Circle City Industrial Complex's gateway, Centerpoint does just that -- and offers solid beer in a large, dog-friendly space to boot. At first blush, Centerpoint's brewing selection seems a bit light -- and I mean that literally. There are a lot of low ABV regulars, sunlight-colored on tap, and I'm a guy that tends towards heavy, malty stuff. That's actually a part of their ethos, though, something that Sun King does but that very few new craft brewers seem too concerned with. The back half of Centerpoint's adage is "craft beer for everyone," and complete with ample TVs for watching sports, the space is accessible to folks that are new to craft beer but love beer anyways. Behind the curtain of their core brews, then, are some pretty complex and full-bodied options that people can ease their way into. While it's not quite my scene, it's one I absolutely appreciate, and I'll be back often for the space and the positive community Centerpoint cultivates on its end of the complex. read more

I've had the pleasure of visiting this place twice so far; once within a week of opening. Once a week later. The building / complex is awesome! Open space, beautiful decor, large bar, just a wicked place. The staff is wonderful! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about beer. They had 4 beers when I went; white session IPA, red IPA, porter, and.... a blonde, maybe? I had a flight and a pint the first time; a pint and a keg the second time. Delicious! I got the red IPA. Seemed only fitting as I was taking it home to watch Conor McGregor. I'm sure I'll visit again soon... not only to return the keg, but to get some more beer! read more

As another Yelp reviewer wrote, it's becoming more difficult to write reviews about new breweries. The city is still going through such a brewery surge that it's hard to keep up with all of the openings. The location is great. I'm becoming a bigger fan of the Circle City Complex and Centerpoint has a monopoly on beer there, at the moment. I love that they also allow dogs in the brewery. The vibe is very laid-back and the decor is minimal and fresh-feeling. I'm just not a big fan of their beers. Their Winter Wit is okay, but there's not much to set them apart from other local breweries that are taking bigger risks with the flavors in their beers. I hope when we transition into fall that they'll take more chances with their beers and lean into seasonal ingredients. Hopefully I'll be able to revise my review soon and add more stars! read more

I'm a little biased towards Centerpoint because I'm so excited that there's a brewery walking distance from my house but really, if you haven't been it's worth the short trek off the main Mass Ave strip. It's fairly new, opened at the end of 2016, but that doesn't mean the beer the sub par. The head brewers are both Rose Hulman grads and all about bring good quality beer to central Indiana. They have a huge space and frequently do mini tours of their set up. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Now that it's sooner they have some tables set up outside and a great dog friendly space. I didn't get to try the food truck but it's there most of the time and I've heard great things. I hope the area develops a little more, they have great potential for a summer farmers market in the parking lot. I can't wait to spend many a afternoon here this summer! read more
