Anna K.

We were referred to Dr Anbar by my daughter's neurologist at CHOC. We adopted her as an older child (12 years old) from foster care. She experienced severe trauma & abuse with birth mom. She has PTSD with years of sleep deprivation/interruption from horrible nightmares that make her re-live her trauma. Her neurologist, who is a sleep specialist, recommended we see Dr Anbar. He is a pediatric pulmonologist that specializes in hypnosis. Because my daughter's abuse is so severe, Dr Anbar started slowly with her, so as not to re-traumatized her any further. The results are slow but steady. Dr Anbar is kind, gentle and compassionate. We drive down from Orange County every other week. He gives me daughter "homework" to work on and she reports back to him re: what helped (or didn't help) to alleviate her nightmares. Then he will build on the progress (or lack of) each time. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive (one-way)!

Seal Beach near Dr. Anbar's office. We visit them before or after each visit. He has a beautiful aquarium in his office.

I'm very grateful to give my testimony on how my life changed so much for the better upon meeting…read more Dr.Wayne Cooper I had been diagnosed with COPD in 2016. Having been treated by several Drs, my condition was worsening as the side effects of the inhalers were awful. I had made a referral and was introduced to DrCooper by phone. He called me prior to our first visit and informed me that he was not comfortable with results of the most recent lung test done by another physician, and ordered a new set . His opinion was correct, the prior test results were wrong, I was unresponsive to the prior treatments because I was allergic to some ingredients in the medication prescribed prior. He took the time to explain what was going on, what he was doing, and told me he hoped to see me in 1 year. I have not had a bout with emphysema or bronchitis since I've been under his care. Much gratitude for you I'm eternally gram

He…read moresaid I don't have asthma, but years ago I was diagnosed with both exercise-induced asthma AND cough-variant asthma, both of which continue to reoccur but improve with albuterol. Dr. Hooper thought my chronic cough was likely due to post-nasal drip, but my ENT disagreed and said the problem was more likely due to allergic-caused cough-variant asthma. My pulmonary function tests showed some deficiencies, but nothing major. Chest CT was normal except for some port-surgical scarring after left pneumothorax x2 surgical repairs and pleurodesis. I'm getting mixed messages from my doctors, but my cough is much improved after discontinuing Singular.

Went here today. Been here before. Both times the front desk workers have been bad. They have…read moreattitude. They insist on me filling out things or doing things that are unnecessary or that I've already done and then do petty things to mess things up. So, before my appointment today I filled out everything about me and my medical health online during a lengthy checkin process. It took me 30 minutes to fully complete it. When I arrived today the woman helping me wanted me to manually fill out paperwork with all of the same information and I refused and said you've already got it all and I'm not filling out duplicate information. She insisted on me giving them my insurance card when I don't have an actual card. I have my info. I've never needed my card. They always have my insurance number and company and info and do not need my physical card or a copy of it to bill the insurance company. But she was insistent and i told her the above. I asked her to cancel an upcoming appointment with another doctor there about this point. In fact I asked her twice to cancel it. She said she would. I got called back for the pulmonologist and he was actually fine. No issues. Come back out to make a followup appointment before I leave per the doctor. Make it with another lady there. I then asked her if the appointment with the other doctor there was canceled like I requested and she said no it was not. I told her to cancel it. She did. She set the followup appointment with me. I left. The previous lady did not cancel it like she said she would. Sigh. I get a text after I left saying the appointment I just made had been moved to the day prior than what I just made. I suspect the First Lady with a bad attitude moved it just to be petty. This is awful customer service. Just not a good experience. She was power tripping. Had an attitude and did things to be petty and to screw with me and my medical stuff. It was a lot of unnecessary friction. A simple check in at the front desk of any medical office should be easy and pleasant. I'd give zero stars because it was that bad. But one star is for the doctor because he was ok. Also, Dr. Hsing their sleep doctor is not a good doctor if you have a circadian sleep disorder like DSPD or DSPS or Non-24 or other. His treatment of me and my condition was the worst I've ever encountered and I've seen many sleep doctors over the years. He is completely backwards about treating those type of disorders and gave bad advice and no realistic help or treatment to me at all. I am extremely knowledgeable about Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder and treatment protocols and he is just absolutely wrong. Attached is the plan he came up with that if he tried to follow it himself he couldn't. It's an impossible plan. If you have DSPD or N24 I'd run to another doctor and skip this place. He's their only sleep doctor. Unfortunately. He may be ok for sleep apnea but not for circadian rhythm sleep disorders. He covers all of their locations. Anyway. Front desk is a real piece of work. I will not be going back after I'm done with the pulmonologist I saw today and the stuff he ordered to get done. In the future I'll find somewhere else to go. I would probably advise the same to anyone reading this.

I mentioned something abnormal on imaging report and handed the report to her. She pushed my hand away and told me she didn't need report she can view imaging herself. I have never had a doctor do this before and they always welcome another opinion. After viewing the imaging she told me nothing was wrong. This made me feel uneasy as another Pulmonogist and Radiologist told me something was very wrong. She did not bother to view any other imaging I brought and was very dismissive towards me. It turns out I have a very severe Pulmonary problem and because of her ignorance , arrogance and attitude I was delayed proper treatment. I can not speak of other doctors here, but this doctor is horrible and cannot recommend her.

We've probably been to 5 recent appointments and seeing Dr. Bagheri was one of them. I called the office for an explanation and they said they would have someone call me. A month later I get another bill, again with no explanation for the reasons for the additional copay amount requested along with a threat to turn the account over to collections. On top of that, when I finally got ahold of accounting, they said they don't accept any form of electronic payment. Cash or check only. WAKE UP! ITS 2022. ONLY SENIOR CITIZENS STILL USE CHECKS. I HAD TO TAKE A HALF HOUR OUT OF MY WORK TO GO TO THE BANK AND GET A $20 CASHIER'S CHECK AND PAY $5 FOR IT. I LOST $40 OF BILLABLE WORK TIME BECAUSE OF YOUR MISTAKE WHEN COLLECTING COPAY. TOTAL COST TO ME IS NOW $65 BECAUSE OF YOUR MISTAKE. TIME TO START USING MODERN BILLING AND PAYMENT SYSTEMS LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPANY HAS HAD FOR THE LAST 30+ YEARS.
