We have had such a great experience here. Our 4 year old has been with Dr. Warner since she was born and he is truly the best. We love him and the staff! When I had my second, Dr. Taylor was covering for Dr. Warner and she literally saved our daughter's life. She sent us to Rady Children's to be safe and as soon as we got there, our daughter's heart began to fail. She had open heart surgery 4 days later. Forever grateful!!! read more

We followed Dr. Warner as he and some colleagues recently opened up their new practice. The people at the office are wonderful and it seems like they really enjoy working there. I appreciate that their aim is to keep their patient roster relatively small, so that they can really focus on patient care. The location is freeway close, however parking can be a pain. When driving into the office complex, the signage may lead you to the left, but their assigned parking spaces are to the right. The spaces are pretty cramped everywhere, so trying to get your door fully opened to get to baby's carseat can be a challenge. It was our first visit here to the new location, and so far so good! read more

Dr. Warner is amazing. He is so professional and competant that you immediately understand your baby is in the right hands and yet he is so sincere and compassionate that you feel he cares about your baby as much as you do. I cannot say enough good things about this office. We've been coming here since our daughter was born in August. Dr. Taylor is our primary doctor and she is absolutely amazing, but we also have seen all of the doctors at one point or another and they have all been great. The medical assistants and staff are warm, friendly and great with kids. We never wait more than 5-10 minutes (usually less) to see the doctor, and have been accommodated for same-day appointments when needed. Their office is very clean, and I love that they do carside check-ups when kids are sick. So glad to have found Coast Pediatrics! read more

The only reason I am writing an even remotely negative review is because of the terrible receptionist. For a pediatrician, you would assume there would be some urgency to pick up phone calls and help when they can, but multiple times, Brooke specifically, has hung up on me, put me on hold and hung up, been super rude when asking for information, and gives completely inaccurate information. It's such a bummer because all of the doctors at this practice are terrific, but this Brooke at the front desk is awful. read more

I love everything about this practice - except for the parking! It feels like you're being punished if you don't have a minivan with sliding doors - half the time we have to back out to get the car seat back into the car because the spots are so crammed together - but that's my ONLY complaint. We had originally scheduled our prenatal appointment with Dr. Warner for June 9th but our baby ended up arriving June 2nd. Luckily I knew that he does rounds at Scripps La Jolla where I was delivering so I got to meet him the following morning and our baby got to meet his new doctor! He was FANTASTIC and right away we knew we'd made the right decision with this practice and specifically with Dr. Warner. (We were SO excited when they said they had an opening for us to begin with!) All of the doctors are wonderful - the first couple of days home from the hospital we had appointments at the office to keep an eye on our son's jaundice and ended up meeting both Dr's Gillin and Taylor as well. All of the doctor's are fantastic and so caring & passionate about what they do and it truly shines through. We love how they explain everything they do and why they do it. I also love how they recognize that as first time parents we have lots of questions and they are always available to us. Our first week home we had some concerns and called to ask Dr. Warner some questions on a Friday late afternoon. He called back around 4 and said we should come on down so he could look our son over and feel better before going into the weekend. We arrived about 4:30p and he was so patient and understanding; we've never felt rushed or like an inconvenience to anyone in the office. He even called us the following morning (Saturday) to check in on us - it's such a great feeling to know that your doctor truly cares about your child. All of the staff and doctor's assistants are fantastic as well - if you're lucky enough to be taken into this practice (they do keep it limited and charge a yearly admin fee to keep it small) then you've truly hit the doctor lottery for your little one(s)! read more

We're fairly new to Coast Pediatrics (our baby is 3 months old), and we are so grateful to have found such an amazing practice to care for our daughter! They came highly recommended to us by another medical professional who takes his kids there, and from the moment we met them we knew that we'd found our pediatrician. We see Dr. Taylor, and she is truly fantastic. Not only is she great with our baby, she is also great in communicating with us as first time parents. You can tell that she truly cares about her patients. Finding a doctor who is personable, energetic and trustworthy isn't easy, but we've definitely found that in Dr. Taylor. When our daughter was sick in the hospital we received after hours communication from her and all of the doctors who we saw at Childrens Hospital kept mentioning how she was in regular communication with them as well, which was so reassuring and great to hear since we really trust her judgement. Anytime we mention to another medical specialist/professional that Dr. Taylor is our doctor they immediately know who we are talking about and comment on how great she is. It's not surprising that she is consistently voted to the list of San Diego's top pediatricians! We have seen her and the other doctors at Coast quite a bit in the last 3 months, and we've been very impressed with all of them. Dr. Warner is not only knowledgeable, but also patient and very easy to talk to. On a Friday we called at 4:55pm (5 minutes before they close) and he encouraged us to come right in and spent a lengthy amount of time with us- even after hours on a Friday. The other staff are also great, we absolutely adore Denise- she has to be the best pediatric nurse out there. And Carmen has gone out of her way to be helpful as well, with billing issues and even booking same day specialist appointments at other facilities for us. Also, their office is modern, clean and very conveniently located. There is a $150 annual fee for their practice, but I honestly don't mind paying it knowing that we are getting such great care for our daughter. They get bonus points for being open on Saturdays also! At Coast we feel like family, when we enter the office we feel so welcome and all of the staff know us and our baby and we know them. It's a small practice and just has such a family feel. Keep up the great work Coast! Also- they're opening up a new office in the brand new Pacific Highlands Ranch shopping center! We won't be going there because we would never want to leave Dr. Taylor, but I'm sure that this office will be equally as great. read more

Everything about this place is just top notch, minus the parking, as one person pointed out. But the strangely small parking spots are far outweighed by the gorgeous office and sweet staff, not to mention the doctors themselves. In choosing a doctor, it's SO important to me that our care providers are up to date on recent developments in their fields. I've spoken to many doctors (at other practices, of course!!) who don't seem interested in staying up to date, and are defensive when you ask questions, but here it is so different. You can ask any of the doctors a medical question and they will be interested, engaged, informed and honest in their answer. They are also so sweet and really take their time with the kids and with you! I LOVE that the practice is small, so you can always get right in and don't wait in an enclosed space with sick kids. I love that the appointments are long and not rushed. It's left me feeling like our pediatrician KNOWS our kids as more than just a series of boxes to check. The doctors seem to take the time to be active and healthy outside of work, which is such a cool example for the kids. Oh, and everyone who works here is weirdly good looking. It gives me this odd feeling like I'm actually on a medical TV show. But nope, they're real! read more

Since the doctors moved to the new practice from El Camino Pedatrics, the whole experience completely improved! The pediatricians were always high quality (love how friendly and warm Dr. Gillan is...she always puts my kids at ease and makes me feel welcome), but the waiting room used to be a little icky and getting to communicate with your pediatrician was sometimes a tedious process. The receptionists are helpful and friendly in the new office, the long waits have disappeared, and there is ample parking. I also appreciate how clean and new the office is; it feels very upscale for a pediatrician's office. They've been great at completing my kids' forms in a timely way. When my daughter was sick, we have seen the other pediatricians in the practice as well, and I've been impressed with all of them. Dr. Taylor was really kind to my daughter when she was feeling anxious and sick; their bedside manner with kids is awesome. And Dr. Gillan is always willing to examine a beloved stuffed animal first to put my kids at ease...these doctors are great with kids! I also really appreciate how the pediatricians are willing to answer all of my questions and never make me feel patronized. A great practice. read more

Dr Warner was our son's doctor for the first 13 months of our son's life. We planned to become members when Coast Pediatrics but we had to change insurance companies and now don't have the option to see Dr Warner. But I wanted to write a review bc he is the BEST! I always felt great after our well baby visits. Dr Warner not only took time to answer the long list of questions we had each visit but he also gave us info and tips on what to expect for whatever stage/ phase our son was entering. Advice for sleep training and pacifier weening worked extremely well. We are SO bummed we couldn't join Coast Peds. Every doctor we have seen since changing insurance companies [and we have seen 4-5] can not compare to Dr Warner. read more

We all love Dr Taylor my daughter and 3 sons: age range 17 years old to 6 years old. We had the privilege to have Dr Taylor since each child's birth! The boys know they can see a male Dr if they wish but they are so comfortable with Dr Taylor that they will not change ! The staff is amazing. They are getting 2 stars because the office is clean and well managed. We did a meet and greet with Dr Warner to explore working with him as our pediatrician for our first born. We found him arrogant and uncaring. He acted as though he had somewhere better to be which was a huge turn off. Doctors run a business and to keep customers nowadays they should learn some people skills. I was surprised he was voted in the top pediatricians in SD, he doesn't seem like a good fit to be working with children and families. Also for families who have alternative views for vaccines he is admittedly very pro vaccine so expect to get to pushback. read more

Coast Pediatrics is the best! All of the doctors are very friendly, attentive and professional. We see Dr. Taylor and she is amazing! She has kids of her own and is very personable with our kid. She is very sweet and professional. The office is very clean and new. Great atmosphere in the office. Great location, easy to get to in San Diego. The staff is also very helpful. We never feel rushed and Dr. Taylor always takes her time while seeing our child. We can see the progress of our child on her laptop and on their Coast Peds website. The website is very helpful and gives a lot of information for any after hours assistance. The Doctors are readily available if we can't get in to see Dr. Taylor. LOVE this place! You can tell the quality of care they provide is excellent. I moved here from LA and loved our pediatrician so we had high expectations. The office is clean, beautiful and staff is super friendly. I love that they have a "Sick" and "Well" entrance area (I think all Dr offices should). Dr. Taylor is wonderful. Genuinely caring, warm and thoughtful. She has excellent instincts. I mentioned a small cough my infant had and she suggested for pertussis (whooping cough) and sure enough my daughter tested positive! She got her on antibiotics right away as well as the whole household and because she caught it in time, (which is crucial for infants) and my baby girl made an immediate recovery! She calls to check on my 2 girls after every visit. I am just so pleased with Coast. They are more than worth the drive from Encinitas! read more

I can't say enough great things about Coast Pediatrics! Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and amazing with my kids. We specifically see Dr. Warner and he has always taken the time needed to talk with me about my kids and any concerns that I have. We discussed in length different vaccination options and I felt he really listened to my concerns as a parent. I raise my kids vegetarian and he has been very helpful in working with me to ensure that my kids have a healthy balanced plant based diet. Dr. Warner has always been quick to respond to me when I have called with questions/concerns about my girls. Another great thing about Coast Pediatrics is the ability to look up your patient information online. I can look up any notes on my children (i.e. height, weight, prescriptions, billing info, etc.). Easy and convenient. The office is clean, simple, and well designed. The friendly faces and expert care definitely make this practice one that I would recommend ten times over. We have been beyond happy with the care, the service and everything with the office. THE BEST!!! We see Dr. Warner and he is always amazing and spends time with the kids and gets to know them. I never feel rushed and all my questions are always answered. I have even received unexpected phone calls from him checking up on I my kids after a visit. We have had to see Dr. Gillian and Dr. Taylor for various reasons and they are both AMAZING as well. The nurses and front staff are also pleasant and easy to work with. I never have an issue scheduling a well child check. We followed Dr. Warner from his previous practice and are extremely pleased with our decision. The price of one-on-one care for our two boys is worth every cent, as the care and attention they receive from the doctors and the office staff is superb. We made the transition after our second son was born. Previously, I felt like we were pushed along the process since we were experienced parents, but Dr. Warner gave full support and attention to our second son as if he was our first. My questions and concerns are always answered thoroughly. He is great with both boys. My 2 year old is excited to see Dr. Warner even when it's baby brother's well check-up. We had a recent interaction with Dr. Taylor and she was also excellent. She was thorough, concerned, and caring as any parent would appreciate. Due to our situation she contacted us after hours to ensure our son's prescription was filled so he could start his meds immediately. She also called us the next day (her day off) to personally check on his status. I do agree with a previous review that the parking spaces are narrow. However, the 2 hour parking spots are very spacious and are located across from the elevator which is helpful for stroller access. read more

We have seen Dr. Warner for over three years now and we couldn't be happier with the care that we receive from not only him, but the entire office staff. We had been to two other pediatricians with our oldest son before our close friends referred us to Dr. Warner. He is so kind and caring with our two boys and they are so comfortable with him. He always takes the time to listen to any concerns I have and never makes me feel rushed, which I really appreciate. Even on one occasion when he had to take an urgent call from a Doctor at Children's Hospital that he was waiting to hear from, he gave us the option to wait so he could come back and address any more concerns I might have, but all my questions were met, so we left and he followed up with a phone call about 10 minutes later just to apologize and to ensure that we didn't have any additional questions or concerns. We have also met with both Dr. Gillan and Dr. Taylor and they are both absolutely wonderful as well. It is so nice walk into a clean, beautifully decorated office and never have to wait more then a few minutes before being called back into an exam room. The location is right off the freeway and parking is never an issue as they have reserved spaces located right in front of their office. Because the practice is small, you have the added benefit of the receptionist always being there to answer the phone, and we have never had any difficulty scheduling appointments, especially same day appointments. They also use an online patient portal which allows us to view our children's medical records (which is so great since I never seemed to remember to write down all those measurements during the appointments) and pay our bills online, which is very easy and convenient. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with the care that our family receives at Coast Pediatrics and we look forward to being a part of their practice for many more years to come. read more

We've only been with this practice for a few months but I'm in love. I have been looking for a small, high service practice for a LONG time. This is the perfect fit. The office staff is friendly, smart, so helpful and they answer the phone in person. Dr. Gillin is our kid's regular doctor. She has been great. Takes her time, very thorough, very personable. Dr. Taylor saw our son recently when he had an emergency situation. She was awesome. Tons of follow up (even after hours). She went WAY out of her way to help us and to track our sons progress (over a full 4 day period). It really meant a lot to us and helped us through a tough time. We were with Dr. Warner at his previous practice, so when I was pregnant with my second son and we heard he was moving, we didn't think twice about following him to Coast Pediatrics, even if it meant we had change insurance. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Warner and with Coast Pediatrics. Some of the many, many reasons we love Coast: - We usually come with a list of questions and are always treated like we are the only patients in the practice, we're never rushed and all of our questions are answered so thoroughly. And we never, ever feel patronized or treated condescendingly. - After more than 15 appointments, we have not yet waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. - Dr Warner is very good about proactively providing information and advice for the questions we don't think or know to ask. For example, he points out areas of developmental growth, lets us know what milestones to expect before our next appointment, and provides information on ideal time frames for transitions such as solid foods, weaning pacifier, crib to bed, etc. - Same day sick appointments, well child appointments are usually available within a week. - We have also seen Dr. Gillan and she is equally kind, informative, and professional with an amazing bedside manner for both parents and our children. I really can't say enough good things about this practice and its doctors. We love them and our children love them. I couldn't imagine trusting their care to anyone else! read more

I've been with Coast Pediatrics Del Mar since it opened and feel very privileged. In order to extend the kind of care they committed to, they are not taking to new patients. This made me sad for all my friends and clients I want to refer, but I just heard the great news that they are opening a second office in Pacific Highlands Ranch (Eastern Carmel Valley by Trader Joe's). If anyone is looking for near-concierge care without the exorbitant concierge price tag, get on their list soon.
