I seriously will not go anywhere else to get my labs done or see a doctor. This place really does give me hope for our health care system. First off, so easy to find parking and they're not charging you $10 plus to go see a doctor. I find that ridiculous in other medical buildings. It is so easy to navigate and very clean and calm when you walk in. All the staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I walked in to get some bloodwork done, in total, it took less than 10 minutes to check in, get the bloodwork done, WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT! I was so amazed, I couldn't believe it. Another perk of this location is that when you're done, you can come downstairs to a whole-foods and one of my favorite shopping centers. It cannot get any better. read more

My wife scheduled her appointment here based on soonest availability and this was the closest location. Not ideal because it isn't close to where we live... it is a solid 20-30 minute (depending on time of day and traffic) drive from the Mission Valley area to Del Mar / Solana Beach area. This Sharp Rees Stealy (SRS) medical office is very aesthetically pleasing and clean. They have a self check-in kiosk and the receptionists and staff are friendly. They have a large waiting area and WiFi available. The SRS office is actually located off of Via de la Valle in the Flower Hill Promenade on the third level. My only knock on this place is that this shopping center is super crowded and parking was pretty difficult to find. I don't know if it's because of the holiday or if it's because there is a Whole Foods here, but it took a while to get into Flower Hill Promenade (we were stuck at the traffic light). We left early, but if you have to commute to this location, I would definitely leave a little earlier (10 minutes or so), that way you won't be late for your appointment. Last week was my first visit to the Sharp Rees-Stealy Clinic Del Mar. I was pleasantly surprised! The venue is conveniently located at the Flower Hill Marketplace, sitting above Whole Foods. Take the dedicated elevator & you are welcomed into a very comfortable Craftsman style series of offices. A nurse happened to be exiting the door as I entered, and she kindly escorted me to Dr. Arora's office. Larry was ready at reception and greeted me warmly. He guided me to Radiology after which I returned for my consult with Dr. Aurora after an interview with his NP Megan. Dr. Hong is my musculoskeletal doctor. I appreciate him so much for always trying to get me an appointment to see him especially when it's short notice. The care he provides is very much appreciated. He listens, explains and plans in what has to be done for one's comfort for pain and relief. The Del Mar location is a very nice facility in every way except parking can be difficult. read more

I actually look forward to visiting the doctor here. This medical facility has to be one of the best in all of Southern California. But this rating is for the guy who took my blood in the lab department. He was nice enough, and even commented on the size of my vein, and we laughed because it should be easy enough to get a needle in. But he was in too big of a hurry. I told him it hurt like a big bore needle, and he said there was scar tissue. What? I'm not a junky, and only get blood taken a couple times a year. Slow down lab people. I have had the most HORRIFIC experience with Dr. Young Tsai, dermatologist at Sharp Rees-Stealy Del Mar. I repeatedly mentioned my concerns regarding a growth on my face for over two years and was quickly dismissed each time as an "age spot - nothing we can do about it" I have a history of melanoma and was being seen routinely every 3 months for skin checks. During a recent exam, I mentioned a separate spot on my face when Dr. Tsai quickly responded that she is concerned about the original spot - am I not concerned with this spot? I was speechless, confused and in shock now fearing the worst. Fast forward one week later on Thursday at 4:11pm I received a voice mail from her counterpart Dr Wiggin Lee, whom she shares her practice to call back for important results. I missed the call while at work. I called back after 5pm and the office was closed. I immediately sent an email to call me anytime day or night. I did not receive a response on Friday after making several attempts to retrieve my results via phone calls and email. It was brought to my attention that the entire Del Mar office was out of office today and I will need to follow up on Monday. I insisted on a follow up call and was told a SRS Rancho Bernardo RN would be calling me back by days end. Having not heard from anyone by 3:30pm and feeling overwhelmed and anxious I drove to the SRS RB location to speak to the RN. only to be told he left for the day. Overcome with fear and anxiety I was insistent that I be told my results prior to the weekend. At the close of clinic an empathetic physician provided me the devastating results that I have melanoma on my cheek and that I was to call the surgical site ASAP on Monday to schedule surgery. On Monday I was scheduled that week due to the urgency of the diagnosis. Dr. Young Tsai NEVER followed up with me as an established patient of hers. Dr. Wiggin Lee should have call back that same day to deliver the results especially knowing that staff is not available on Friday to receive/handle calls leaving me hanging. Dr. Wiggin Lee's charting said and I quote "Please refer her to Dr. ____ for staged excision ASAP". I am appalled at the professionalism and bed side manner of Dr. Young Tsai and question her medical experience. I strongly encourage anyone considering her services to reconsider and research a competent and knowledgeable provider. Dr. Young Tsai is not the dermatologist for you! read more

I love Sharp Del Mar! Dr. Wendel is, without a doubt, the best gyno you could ask for (along with Dr. Munoz, who is always so helpful when Wendel isn't available). OB? You better call Dr. Chortkoff. I have never met another doctor who cared so much for her patients and their pregnancies. She might seem a bit tough at first, but she is so sweet and listens thoroughly. Don't even get me started on the security officer (don't know his name, but he was here today 2/2/23). He is AMAZING! Run into him every time I come here, and he always asks how I am doing--and now asks how we are doing, since it's now me + the little one! He is always making sure the building is safe and secure, while also making sure patients feel comfortable. We had an appointment with nurse practitioner Patricia Andric today to perform the first ultrasound exam on our expected child. We have scheduled everything in anticipation of this date, including a pending lease agreement and an agreement with a doula which all depend on the outcome of the exam. However, a last minute cancellation came hours before the appointment and we could only schedule for a whole month later! This puts our entire plan into disarray. Cancelling on patients on such important appointments with no backup option is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

Sharp facilities have some of the best doctors around. I highly recommend this practice to anyone. This facility is still fairly new but I like the building cleanliness, the parking availability (all strictly labeled for patients), proximity to the freeway, proximity to restaurants and shops (for killing time), and the friendly staff. I've now been to this facility several times and seen a few different doctors. This place really is 5 star in every way. First off, the parking garage is awesome. 3rd floor is for Sharp patients and you can always get a spot. No need to fight the promenade for parking mayhem. The building itself is extremely clean, very easy to navigate, and laid out nicely. The staff at every check in I have been too has been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and over the top nice. They all seem to actually enjoy working there and it shows to the patients. As for the doctors, they have been amazing. I really think Sharp takes things to a high level from a patient perspective. The doctors all follow up via the Sharp email system, they always call in the RX as promised, and they do everything they say they are going to do. I would give them 10 stars if I could. As someone with a complicated medical history & trauma this is the place that has provided me with the best quality providers that really took my care to another level & assisted me accordingly. Pretty new location. Gorgeous building and great view. I go to the specialty department and all the staff is very friendly. Sharp has been hitting it out of the park with all of their new facilities. Horrible. I removed my first review becuase I just wanted to forget the experience with Dr. Younes. He has to be the worst doctor I have ever seen. He is a liar and is unethical. Due to the nature of this practice I wont give details, but take this as a warning to stay away. The way sharp handled my complaint was also equally appaling, although they did cover the medical expenses related (just kidding! I just got my medical bill today. Poor Poor medical group, they have no understanding of true healthcare as advertised. Medical providers seek to defer attention from your needs and focus on revenue generating activities only. I had an Xray done for a shoulder issue with no trauma reported to the shoulder. It took 3 weeks for a referral to process. They can make you wait a week for a call back to find you will get a message with no direct call back info. Waste of time, horrible!! read more

Wow this new facility is a drastic makeover from the Sharp Rees Stealy Carmel Valley location. It's beautiful with plush seating, nice light fixtures, better color and wallpaper and flooring. It's an added bonus that Whole Foods is right downstairs as well as an abundance of shops & restaurants nearby. Parking is ample on the 3rd floor of the parking garage located in the rear. When you park on the 3rd floor, you can walk straight into the facility. Towards family/internal medicine, there's a patio area to hang out, which is nice. They have several specialty providers, family/internal medicine, peds, radiology (except mammo and ultrasound), and ob/GYN. Now if they only had a pharmacy. read more

I am so upset. I called to make sure that my insurance would be covered before transferring to them. I spoke on the phone and she supposedly ran everything and said great. I went in the following week on Monday and Wed to track my pregnancy hormones 48 hours apart by doing lab work. Walked right in and everything was fine. Fast forward to my ultrasound appt I drove 30 minutes to the San Diego location after I've talked to somebody, got lab work done with them in del mar, and set my first obgyn appt. I get to the appt and they say they don't partner with my insurance. I'm so frustrated as I left my other doctors office weeks ago to start care with them. They apolgized and basically all they said was were so sorry for the mistake... that little mistake cost me getting blood work, leaving my doctor, taking the day off and driving 30minutes, and now I have absolutely no doctor or care. read more

This location is a bit far for me, but I would rather drive the 45 min and get excellent care, than go elsewhere. I started seeing Dr Cathy Sundsmo as my PCP a year ago and she has been one of the most kind and helpful PCPs I've had. I've also been to quite a few OB/GYNs in this group at various locations and would highly recommend Dr Danny Younes. He's been extremely kind and understanding throughout all of my issues, which I appreciate. If you want to go to a Doctor that is only available two days a week, keeps trying to push prescriptions down your throat and over looks important medical information that comes back from the lab, then choose "DR" Rodarte. I am so disappointed with her, I feel bad for future patients and most importantly her current patients. I have seen her prob seven times over the course of a couple months and EVERY single time she saw me her first concern was prescribing me medication for this or for that. WHY is it so hard to make a note on your chart that this patient doesn't need/want to be taking anything?! Insensitive, irresponsible, and just straight up horrible. After switching doctors I was so nervous the new doctor would be the same way with Trying to prescribe everything under the sun, turns out she looks at my lab results and Rodarte failed to mention some pretty disturbing results. I hope she retires soon, but I doubt that will happen soon she is prob to high on all the commission she makes from over prescribing medication. read more

Too bad nice location and admin helpful but would not recommend 3 months later: Very efficient at billing but would want to advise charge with Aetna insurance $212 for a brief 10 min visit Dr was dismissive with having flu. The hospital here is always quick and efficient. Not only that, but since the building is on the newer side, the facilities are quite clean. In fact I prefer their restrooms over any other ones in the area. The staff is always friendly, cracking jokes, and overall welcoming. However, because many of them work in other hospitals too, they don't always know which way different departments are. Or sometimes they just point and say that way, and not mention it's that way 5 minutes away wobbling on crutches, would you like a wheel chair? Don't see Dermatologist Eungdamrong unless you have very good insurance or a lot of money. He charged me $1,032 for 10 minutes of his time including some spot freezes. This is a fantastic location with superior service. The receptionists are very attentive and willing to accommodate. The nurses are truly caring and informative. After a while you feel like the place is home for medical affairs. Everything is great except the wait. I work full time and have been coming here for all my pregnancy check up's. My appointments are typically 10 min long amd the wait is anywhere from 25-30 min for the doctor to come in and see me. I find this a bit rude since I come during my lunch hour. I don't think I will continue to come after I have my baby. read more
