The level of care and effort they put into their job are top notch! We have been bringing our little boy Noah to this clinic since he was born and we feel that we are always in good hands! Here are some highlights about Dr. B and their staff: 1) they are always super attentive to our needs and very organized! Even when they are running late, they will give you a call to let you know! 2) they answer all my questions and I have a lot! Everytime I call in and have a question they get back to me the same day and quickly! 3) they are always so caring and follow up when our boy had gone through some hard times (I.e allergic reaction) 4) Dr. B has excellent bedside manners! She's never rude and answers my questions throughly! Thank you Dr. B and staff! We've also seen Dr. Hutton a few times as well and she is also wonderful!

Good doctor for our older kiddo but not very helpful with newborn issues. As the other reviewer…read morementioned she has a hands-off approach when it comes to newborn/infant issues. She is in general not very sympathetic to parents concerns at newborn stage. She's also not in office some days of the week so it takes time for her to repond to messages. We met some other pediatricians when she was not in office, and all of them showed more understanding. We had trouble getting prescription refill too. She insisted us to book an appointment to follow up with her before getting the refill, which took some time and the pharmacy did not have it in stock. Would not recommend for infants/newborns.

My daughter and son-n- law are out of town and given my granddaughter has asthma and has had repeated bouts w bronchitis and pneumonia I took her to Coast Pediatrics, I carried her in my arms and when I got in I realized I left my mask in the car. I asked for a mask and they said we can sell you one for a dollar. Then she said you will need one for your granddaughter so I will charge you 2 dollars. No concern for the sick baby I was holding. I couldn't believe my ears. I was suppose to put down the child to hand her 2 dollars for masks. Here I'm holding a crying child, my purse and her clothing because she just didn't want to be out of my arms. There are no words to describe how angry I was. I left to go to urgent care and can't get over this office experience. If Dr Del Re was still at this practice, this would never have happened. We should have left when he did. There are so many good and caring pediatric offices so we will change and find an office/ Pediatrician that better fits our needs! I couldn't leave 0 stars but that is my intention!

Dr. Fishman is easy to talk to, puts my son at ease. He had his first big boy appointment which was a bit uncomfortable. The nurse was kind and patient and made it as good as it could have gotten considering the circumstances. Love this group.

Even though the appointment was scheduled…read morewith this physician well in advance, we didn't actually see Dr. Fishman (apparently she doesn't work afternoons on the day we were scheduled??). We were never informed of this. We ended up seeing a different physician after a lot of hassle over insurance at the front desk (even though I called in advance to advise them that our insurance company had changed and presented an insurance card with Dr. Fishman's name on it, they presented us with a stack of paperwork listing the old insurance - which took more than 40 minutes to sort out!?!). We ended up seeing the resident (I think her name was Dr. Samadi) and Dr. Tolba. Neither physician made any real effort to interact with our son (age 6). Instead, they addressed all of their questions to me as if my son weren't even in the room. We requested a prescription to have during a planned overseas trip, and ended up with one that would expire well before we planned to leave (even though I told them the days of the trip in advance). This created a lot of extra hassle at the pharmacy downstairs, especially after we were unable to reach Dr. Tolba to fix the problem and/or re-write the prescription to include "do not mix" instructions. Overall, the appointment took way too long. We arrived at 3:00 for a 3:30 appointment and didn't get out of there until after 5:00 (6:00 if you count time spent at the pharmacy trying to fix the flawed prescription). The experience was such that I changed our pediatrician and office location the very next day. I can't imagine having gone through this 3 hour ordeal with a sick child instead of a well one!

I came across Dr. B on a recommendation from one of his associates who I have the greatest amount of respect for. I remember being there at the hospital with my new bundle of joy and in comes a guy that is a good 6'5" and the softest, most gentle demeanor. Seeing him handle a teeny tiny baby with white gloved touch was just what I wanted to see. His staff is equally as cool. The nurse practitioner that works with him, Zoe Drosky is equally as capable. The nurse who always does our shots is super stealth like a ninja, before my girl can get a tear out she is already done with 2 shots. Quick and as painless as it is gonna get. Overall Sharp has a really solid team in the Pediatrics branch of this office. Our daughter has been Dr. Berent's patient for 3 years now and not once have there ever been any issues. He has the touch to be a pediatrician, takes his time when she is being fussy and is incredibly thorough when doing check ups. He addresses our concerns with grace and patience, respects our parenting approach, isn't quick to dish out meds for simple ailments and examines our little girl like she is made of glass. A good recommendation here.

So of course we went and did the "meet and greet" with a couple of Doctors just to see what was out there. I initially went through the list of doctors that were on our providers list... then also went through and looked at where they went to school and what year they graduated (didn't want an old geezer and didn't want a newbie).... lastly, I stumbled across a list where you can check San Diego magazine online and look up Best Doctors in San Diego. That was very helpful! And here is where I ultimately decided to check Dr.Wu out. We saw a total of three pediatricians on meet and greets. Dr. Wu was our last one, and a last minute decision after we weren't absolutely thrilled about the first two Docs we saw. Dr. Wu is soooo nice and patient. She is open to answering all of our questions and of course I have a list written out every time I come in (being a new mom). I just really liked that she was thorough and warm in her relations with us. I felt that she was very knowledgeable and that "no question is a dumb question". My daughter is 10 months old now, and I'm still very happy with our decision on Dr.Wu. She is definitely a keeper! Btw...She's in the Sharp Rees-Steely Medical Group (so we have had to see other Docs and nurses on sick visits)... but she is linked with Children's Hospital if there is ever a need for hospital care for our little one. Parking is probably my biggest gripe. Its $2 every time (with validation). Never had to wait very long at the office, which is good. Making appointments is not so bad since I make them months in advance for the well-baby check-ups. Sick visits aren't so bad either since you see whoever is available.

They're also very accommodating- we've never had any issues making appointments & we've never had to wait long when we're there. Dr. Wu takes the time to make follow-up phone calls and she participates in the Follow My Health service where you can also email her office if you have other questions that might not need an immediate phone call, which I find convenient. Our son has been seeing her from birth to now at about 6.5 months. Unfortunately for us, we are changing insurance and won't be seeing Dr. Wu in the new year- and THAT we're pretty sad about! Yes, parking is still $2....but at least in our experience, spaces are always ample.
