We were never informed of this. We ended up seeing a different physician after a lot of hassle over insurance at the front desk (even though I called in advance to advise them that our insurance company had changed and presented an insurance card with Dr. Fishman's name on it, they presented us with a stack of paperwork listing the old insurance - which took more than 40 minutes to sort out!?!). We ended up seeing the resident (I think her name was Dr. Samadi) and Dr. Tolba. Neither physician made any real effort to interact with our son (age 6). Instead, they addressed all of their questions to me as if my son weren't even in the room. We requested a prescription to have during a planned overseas trip, and ended up with one that would expire well before we planned to leave (even though I told them the days of the trip in advance). This created a lot of extra hassle at the pharmacy downstairs, especially after we were unable to reach Dr. Tolba to fix the problem and/or re-write the prescription to include "do not mix" instructions. Overall, the appointment took way too long. We arrived at 3:00 for a 3:30 appointment and didn't get out of there until after 5:00 (6:00 if you count time spent at the pharmacy trying to fix the flawed prescription). The experience was such that I changed our pediatrician and office location the very next day. I can't imagine having gone through this 3 hour ordeal with a sick child instead of a well one!

She is in general not very sympathetic to parents concerns at newborn stage. She's also not in office some days of the week so it takes time for her to repond to messages. We met some other pediatricians when she was not in office, and all of them showed more understanding. We had trouble getting prescription refill too. She insisted us to book an appointment to follow up with her before getting the refill, which took some time and the pharmacy did not have it in stock. Would not recommend for infants/newborns.

We went to our first appointment and from the moment we met Dr. Albert Martinez, he was so friendly, caring, knowledgeable and welcoming. The nurse practitioner that works with him, Zoe Drosky is equally as capable.The nurse who always does our shots is super stealth like a ninja, before my girl can get a tear out she is already done with 2 shots. Quick and as painless as it is gonna get. Overall Sharp has a really solid team in the Pediatrics branch of this office. Our daughter has been Dr. Berent's patient for 3 years now and not once have there ever been any issues. He has the touch to be a pediatrician, takes his time when she is being fussy and is incredibly thorough when doing check ups. He addresses our concerns with grace and patience, respects our parenting approach, isn't quick to dish out meds for simple ailments and examines our little girl like she is made of glass. Dr. Berent visited after Ledger was born in the hospital and he had such a nice and calm demeanor which I really liked. He took the time to talk to us and also address my concerns about a procedure for my baby. He helped alleviate any concerns I had quickly. When we brought the baby in for his appointment the following week, Dr. Berent was fantastic. He came in and held him for a few minutes and it was so nice. I could tell right away he cares about kids and I knew we selected the right guy. The level of care and effort they put into their job are top notch! We have been bringing our little boy Noah to this clinic since he was born and we feel that we are always in good hands! Here are some highlights about Dr. B and their staff: 1) they are always super attentive to our needs and very organized! Even when they are running late, they will give you a call to let you know! 2) they answer all my questions and I have a lot! Dr. Gee-Lew and her partner had their own practice. They would keep a tab for me, and when I got my tax money in the spring I would pay. The first pediatrician for my daughter asked if my baby had been shaken, because she had dark marks over her eyelids. I almost passed out. Dr. Gee-Lew knew what that was - it was due to the forceps, and it would go away on its own! You could call Dr. Gee-Lew at any time of the night, and she would just tell me what to do. She was so reassuring. She was like a gift from God. Her partner would give me a list of "what it could be," which would also overwhelm me. But Dr. Gee-Lew never did that. My daughter just had a baby this morning. He has a little physical issue, and I actually looked up Dr. Gee-Lew to ask her advice. Oh, incidentally, I nursed my daughter for 4 1/2 years, because of Dr. Gee-Lew's encouragement. She was also nursing her daughter! I just want my daughter to go back and thank her. We decided instantly that we liked her much more than the other doctor we met who, while very competent, we just didn't have the same connection with. Dr. Gee-Lew was friendly, knowledgeable, and "real." She answered questions, offered suggestions and hooked us up with free samples. We saw Dr. Sepulveda once when Dr. Gee-Lew was on vacation and we liked him just as much - also friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk with. This is a busy office but the doctors take the time to give patients proper attention, answer parent questions, etc. and don't make us feel like they're rushing to get to their next appointment. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, too. We've been to the office four times now and already know we'll be happy here for many years to come!
