Acrylics start at $20, but 35 is reasonable considering that I got 2 holographic nails In addition to the other long red acrylic nails. DO NOT COME HERE! I went in for a manicure and pedicure. Place was very unhygienic. Tools are not sanitized! I didn't realize this until after the nail tech had ripped off a chunk of skin from my big toe and made me bleed profusely. Then she wanted me to soak it in the dirty water! I told her that it was not a good idea and that it needed to be rinsed with clean water and I needed Neosporin. She said yes, and started pouring saline from an already opened single use vial. Then the other tech came over and I told her that I needed the ointment instead and she finally brought some. Then the first tech used the cotton swab and applied the ointment on my 3rd toe, which she had also made bleed and then applied the dirty cotton swab on my big toe! One of those places I keep returning to only because of the price point. Speaking of, they recently increased their prices. $22 for a mani/pedi now which is still not bad! Walked to Humphry Slocombe today for some ice cream but they weren't open yet. Ended up dragging my mother into the nail salon and convincing her to get a mani/pedi with me since she rarely gets them. This place is forever packed but when we arrived there this morning there was perfectly two seats sat the pedi area. Everyone after us had a 30 minute wait though. This place is really hit or miss depending on who you get. I tried acrylics for the first time last year and got Henry. Super thick acrylics and every single one started to lift within days. One day I woke up and my pinky nail had fallen off and when I went to get it replaced, he charged me for it. Homph. He also recognized me and hurried me to his station even though I did not want him. The two older ladies doing our pedis today were really nice though. A guy with glasses ended up finishing the job and painting my nails. Polish everywhere. Not clean at all. Kids everywhere today. Food everywhere. People constantly shuffling in and out. This place is NOT relaxing at all. Come here for a no frills mani/pedi and you should be good. Don't expect anything else. They don't give you those disposable flip flops unless you ask. They definitely do not sterilize their tools here but I always get my nails done in Shanghai and they don't either. They do use plastic sheets to line their pedi baths with though which is nice. Massage is hardly a massage. If you're a guy they won't buff your nails after unless you ask them. The people were friendly enough and my pedicure turned out okay. However, my manicure is was falling apart before I even left the salon. I decided to get a french manicure with the gel polish that is supposed to last up to 21 days. The girl doing my manicure somehow got bumps in the polish so it's not smooth on a couple fingers. By the end of the day the polish on my left hand was already starting to crack and show lines through the white tips. It has been less than 10 days since my manicure and it's already chipping off of a couple of my nails. I won't go here again. read more

Ok so I can't decide where to take my niece and daughter for my niece's birthday treat..she wanted Sandy's but they had pretty bad reviews...well I'm not happy with my pick either. I brought them for a full acrylic set for my niece and a mani for my daughter... Well for starters the guy glued all the nails on he noticed the index nail was crooked and took off the nail, then he glued on the second nail and it was crooked and he pulled at it hurting my niece and then realizing he forgot to put acetone on it. The price for my niece was $16 and in the end they charged me $23 for her full set after changing the price on me twice... My daughter's mani was a joke...I do better than that...the edges weren't polished in, had air bubbles and her nails were crooked even after the lady used a file after using the almost broken nail clipper.. I was almost the point of "I need a mani/pedi before my digits fall off", so I headed down to Center Nail, roomie in tow. One again, they offered great service and skillful technicians. My roommate, who had his first pedicure, replied after he was finished he said, "Wow, my feet feel like silk!" Another satisfied customer :) Center Nail is not your uptight nail salon, but it is also not a trashy place to be getting waxed, painted, and otherwise beautified at. This used to be my go-to place, and I did get one amazing gel manicure here. So I went out of my way to come back, and I'm so sorry I did. My cuticle are DESTROYED and the guy got GEL polish all over my cuticles. It looks like a ten-year-old using their left hand while blindfolded painted my nails. So I went into Center Nails on February 10th to get my nails done for Valentine's Day. I made an appointment for a Gel Full set and a pedicure. The pedicure was fine, minus the ingrown toe nail I started to get a week later . At least the woman doing my toes was sweet and had a good work mentality. Once my toes were done they asked me to sit in the chair to do my full set. The man that was supposed to do my nails had a horrible attitude. He asked me what shape I wanted so I told him. Once that happened I asked them if he didn't know how to do the shape?.. They all said he's the best nail tech there and that he was just "hungry" two minutes later he calls the next young woman and starts doing her gel full set! Then the BOY (I say boy because that's what he acts like) doing my nails begins to be ruff with my nails to the point that I had two cuts on my fingers from his nail file by the time I left. When I went to give him his tip (even though he DIDNT deserve one) he went to the back to hide. This place is so unprofessional and not to mention they SUCK at doing nails. My nails were completely ruined by Valentine's Day! If you're planning on getting your nails done I would STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE NAIL SHOP! We came here on Friday to get our nails done for graduation and it's Monday and there already peeling of. The gel work they did on my nail is very poor for the 50$ we had to pay for them! To have nail polish or to go without, that is one of the questions I regularly ask myself. I feel very natural and of-the-earth without, which is a great feeling, yes. BUUUT I feel fancy, sophisticated, and girly with a gel mani and a clean pedi! Center Nails has become my go-to every three or so weeks, depending on how well I take care of my hands and feet. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the shop is clean, and the price is right!! $25 for fresh gels? Uh yes please. They have really cheap waxing service also. Word the wise, I'm not going to blow smoke up your booty here, I must tell you it's not the most relaxing atmosphere I've experienced; it's in the Mission so there's a cast of characters walking by, one time a couple girls with no manners came barging in, giving the shop owners grief over not doing eyelashes anymore. Center Nails is pretty bare bones in terms of decor, but it was really busy, even on a Monday at noon. There must have been about 8 nail techs working, and I got taken care of right away. I was happy to get my polish removed for $8 in 15 minutes, but I later realized that it all hadn't been removed. I was picking polish off for days. My coworker says she has had good results with manicures and pedicures there, so I'll likely give them another shot when I want a cheap manicure sometime, but it certainly won't be my first choice for nail salons overall. read more

The lady that did my nails was really nice, she didn't really talk to me because she was talking in her language with her friend. They have lots of colors from OPI, China Glaze and Orly.
