Kyle Baldwin is an excellent physical therapist. He puts a lot of thought into tailoring an approach specific to the injury he's treating. If that approach isn't getting results, he's not hesitant to change course with a new plan of attack. It's definitely not a cookie-cutter mindset, but rather a thoughtful approach as to what works for that particular patient. Additionally, there's a great vibe to the place...a lot of competent, friendly people doing what they enjoy doing. read more

I've been going there for both an elbow and shoulder injury and have come to look forward to my appointments, why? Not because Kyle, the owner, makes me do things that create tension and low level pain (that's what PT is supposed to do) but because the environment Kyle has created is positive, active, musical and inspiring. His staff take a personal interest in me and the other patients and work very hard to know each of us personally, in other words, we're more that injury, we're people. I love Center for Physical Therapy. Even though physical therapy itself usually isn't thought of as fun, as you're going for a physical ailment, the PT's, support staff, and overall environment made my time there very enjoyable. Right when you walk in, you can tell that the PT's get along with the aides, the aides get along with the administrative staff, that the employed staff get along with Kyle, the owner, and all vice versa. It's truly a nice family and everyone there is so welcoming. I went to CPT for persistent knee problem and have received treatment from all four therapists at varying times. They are all extremely knowledgable and personable, and every time I was in the office for treatment, I felt truly cared for -- you just don't get that from many medical offices these days. It was great to get professional treatment, be asked about the family gathering I had talked about last week, and also catch up about the latest college football game. Once I graduated from physical therapy, taping, and various home exercise programs, I started Pilates with Sara. She was so helpful and integral in me transitioning from rehabilitation to actually taking care of my body. Not only did I start preventative work with her, to ensure I wouldn't re-injure my knee, she also helped me feel more comfortable in my body, and gain better awareness of what my body needs, holistically. I also got to take a couple group classes with Bre and Brandon! Both their workouts are engaging and I appreciate that they take the time to care for each individual throughout the class. I just had my second total knee replacement, and rehabilitated both with the help of Dr. Baldwin and staff. I saw everyone treated with courtesy respect while going through a difficult time in their life. My personal experience was incredible with complete recovery the result. I came to the Center For Physical Therapy as a referral from my Doctor for a pinched nerve in my neck that is causing pain and numbness down my arm. I attended two appointments in two weeks and decided to discontinue my scheduled weekly appointments. I take my health and any type of physical training or care very seriously. During the two appointments that I attended I was a little put off by the overly casual attitude of the staff. What does this mean? Well, during my first appointment... I began my therapy appointment in their open therapy room...as I waited for my therapist to find my file I was a bit put off by one of the therapist that was doing pirouette turns across the therapy room floor. During my first appointment I was interviewed, range of motion measured, and instructed on several exercises to help with the pinched nerve. I was then placed in an area of the room to perform the exercises on my own. During the time I was on my own the therapists chatted amongst themselves about their plans for the weekend and such. My second appointment went very much like the first. When a "regular" patient came in for therapy there was casual conversation going back and forth between the patient and several of the therapists ... including the therapist that was working on my neck. It's like paying for a massage or facial and having a chatty therapist talking loudly in your ear the entire time. Only worse, I was there because I was in pain and was looking for relief. I'm hoping that this feedback is taken constructively and that changes are put into place so that future patients truly feel that they're coming to a place of healing. read more

Full disclosure I was recommended to go to the Center for Physical Therapy by a friend who was working there at the front desk. When I broke my arm playing basketball I was looking for a PT who would have a vision of helping me get back into sports, not just rehabbing the injury. Once I began PT with Nicole I was so happy I had chosen CPT. The attention given to you, the follow up work, and the professional enthusiasm (that goes from the Physical Therapists all the way to the assistants) was infectious. The PT was slightly more expensive than what I had with my previous insurance (Kaiser) but the amount of time and attention to my person were stellar. read more

After years of struggling with constant knee pain, I am FINALLY pain-free due to the efforts of the physical therapists at the Physical Therapy Center. The staff are very friendly and professional, and fun to work with! Every hourly visit flew by and I left every appointment with a smile on my face. My knee pain was GONE in as little as 3 weeks of working on strength, form, and with treatments to loosen my IT band. Progressive improvements came so quickly that I regret not coming in sooner! Luckily my insurance covered most of the visits so treatment was relatively affordable. Though I would've paid more to get these amazing results. read more

I had Michael as my PT and he and the aides have helped me recover from a lower back injury. During each appointment, we went through exercises to strengthen my back and he also gave me several exercises to do at home that have really sped up the healing process. The staff also have done a great job adapting to COVID by requiring a temperature check when entering and cleaning equipment after each use. And everyone is friendly! Highly recommend read more

First off let me say "I hate physical therapy " until my doctor sent me to this facility. Oh my gosh! I have had 9 joint replacements and open heart surgery so I believe I'm an expert in what I'm telling you. At other places you are told "do 3 sets of 10 and I'll be back" no motivation there! I'd do 2 sets of 5 and be done. NOT AT THIS PLACE! They have an assistant to stay , talk and encourage you and works with you top actually break a sweat for 30 minutes then the last 30 minutes is with the physical therapy doctor who tells you how and better yet why you are doing each exercise. I'm there for strengthening, gait training and balance and after 3 visits my balance has increased by 50%. At other places I never felt my muscles "engaging" at this place I feel each muscle group wanting to do stuff they haven't done in 35 yrs. When I was in my 30's I was heavily into aerobics, now at 68 and , I already shared my history with you, I'm heavily into arthritis! I never had hope that I would be able to increase my balance and my strength but Dr Michael and his group have instilled hope the I am and will continue to reach my physical therapy goals. My ultimate goal at this point is to get on and the floor. By choice. Twice I got on the floor, not by choice, and wasn't able to get myself up. I slept an extra hour on the floor and ended up calling 911. Totally humiliating and dangerous. I live alone and like it that way. I'd just like , first not to fall and second I'd like to be on the floor by choice and get back up alone. I believe I'm going to be able to reach my goal. If you would like to build strength, muscles and have goals related to your muscles ask your doctor for a referral and prescription to go to Center for Physical Therapy then afterwards go to edible arrangements and get a healthy smoothie! Kyle is knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and an excellent communicator. In fact, Kyle is the King of Metaphor. He can describe what's going on in your body and with your therapy in visual terms that are easy to understand. Kyle has been in regular contact with my incomparable surgeon Dr. Woodson since day one of my therapy. On my first visit he and Dr. Woodson were texting and VMing each other to fine-tune my PT instructions. Besides all of these attributes, and probably most importantly, Kyle's PT WORKS. I'm nine weeks post surgery as of this review and I'm stunned by the gains I've made in strength, flexibility, and endurance. Kyle is totally matched in excellence by his team. I've worked with several of Kyle's PT staff, and man, they are the NICEST PEOPLE. Everyone with whom I've interacted has been friendly, well-educated, and interested in my treatment and recovery. They do not accept health insurance for injuries caused by car accidents. I would have to pay 90 dollars a visit to receive treatment there. I was referred by my doctor. I have been going through my health insurance the past two years for back treatment for the same injury. It was an at fault accident with no other drivers with just liability auto insurance. I have never had an issue with my medical insurance denying coverage, yet they still will not accept me as a patient because it is "too high of a risk that they will not receive payment through my medical insurance." They didnt even contact my health insurance company. It seems like a lot of bs just to deny new patients. ): read more

My friend recently was telling me her horrible experience she had with her physical therapist at another clinic. I then mentioned Center for Physical therapy to her. I told her how I had I absolutely loved my physical therapy here at center for physical therapy. The therapist I worked with was Jim. He is very nice and funny gentlemen. He took a hands on approach in my care. He made sure all my exercises were personalized and would benefit my care. I loved my aide Miranda she was very informative and made sure I was doing my exercises correctly. She would help lead me through my appointment with prior and new exercises. I orginally came in just for my knee but was additionally taught exercises that allowed me to improve my posture and balance. My knee pain had decreased throughout visits. I also love that they gave me exercises to do at home as well as bands and an anchor for my door. When I no longer needed appointments they continued to give me a home exercise program that I can continue to do daily to avoid reoccurrence of knee pain and to help strengthen my leg muscles. read more

I have been coming to the Center for Physical Therapy after my Shoulder Rotator Cuff Therapy for several weeks. I enjoy the buzz and high energy from the moment you walking in the door. Following major surgery I experienced a mix of emotions. The therapist and I work specifically on stretching and rebuilding muscles. My Physical Therapist, Nicole, and I work as a team to identify where and how these muscles and ligaments should be strengthened. Following that regimen I have time with an assistant who helps me do further work. Beckett and Udi are great at encouraging me through more exercises. Kristin the Administrator, is engaging and warm ensuring we've everything set up. I want to recognize 3 employees at the CENTER FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY who really care about your concerns and "listens" to you in detail regarding your pain level! One of the lead physical therapist, DPT, is KATHIE, who really specializes in your concerns and is very professional throughout my last several visits. The assistants to Kathie are Laura and Michelle, who also have outstanding interpersonal skills when going through the exercises without rushing you in any way during the procedures. They take the time with you through the rehab period of PT. Kathie takes great pride in correcting your individual areas of pain and is sincere while performing such rehabilitation exercises to help you in a most effective manner to regain your ease of pain. I am writing this on scheduling only. I had a very unprofessional experience with this provider. I had an appt. booked via the OWNER for PT due to surgery and surgeon request for Monday and I had the office manager Krista call and say she couldn't accommodate that time and that she would be able to get me in Tuesday. I informed her that the doctor specifically wanted Monday and she said she would call my doctor and get back to me (this was Friday.) I received a call back from her stating that she had spoken to the doctor and couldn't get me in until FRIDAY. I said can I take the Tuesday you just offered me? She said "sorry, I gave that appt. away because you didn't take it." I only didn't "take" the appt. because she was on the other line with my doctor and I had a prescription from him to start Monday. I have never had such unprofessionalism when dealing with medical offices in my life until now. Please consider other PT offices in the LB area before you decide on Center for Physical therapy because I was made to feel so unhelped and unwelcome before I even stepped through their doors. read more

Sometimes life throws you a lemon. In my case, bad knees. Little did I know that my lemonade would come in the form of the Center for Physical Therapy. I was first recommended to them by my primary care physician. My expectations were probably more along the line of a torture chamber, but realistically I thought.. gym. Both were so far from the truth. From the moment I entered and was greeted by Krysta, the office manager, I knew this was different. She greeted me like an old friend. We took care of business, and she introduced me to 'the staff'. What an amazing, knowledgeable and fun group of people. The open area was clean, and equipment conveniently located around the rooms. There are a couple of private areas for more personal situations, but most everything else is done in a.. community like, setting. Everywhere were smiling laughing people, conversing like a small vilage, patients and staff alike. About their weekends, about their day, about their particular situation, and about their therapy. But all of them getting the job done. Kyle Baldwin is the owner. Fun, friendly and professional, like everyone's favorite coach. And my therapist, Katie Marshall. Love Her! She made me feel comfortable and safe. She smiles, she laughs and she helped me feel at ease. She answered all my questions as though it was the first time she'd heard it. She assessed my situation, and formed a plan. Initially, it was to try to get my knee back in shape. But, as is life, I ended up needing surgery. New game plan. And, as simple as that Katie shifted our goal. I worked with her and all the PT assistants, and a few weeks later I was ready for my surgery. Immediately, they began forming my post-op program. I went back one week after surgery and we jumped back into it. Old friends. It's been almost three weeks now and I have smooth mobility. Next steps will be squats and stairs. Each new level makes me a little anxious. And, each time Katie and the crew move me through it so comfortably that, although it's work.. make no mistake, it feels So attainable. To say they cheer you on is an understatement. They encourage. They listen. And, they are kind. Because some days aren't as easy as others. But, they never let you down and guide you through. I can say, because it's true, that I would, and have, referred others to the Center for Physical Therapy. They Will get you through it. If you need physical therapy, I encourage you to contact them.
