No food specials or drink specials. And the bartenders didn't know the prices -- when you ask them -- hey how much is a Bud Light? They actually have to look it up on their screen. They don't know the prices of their own drinks where they work. Very strange. The average price for a Bud Light or pretty much any beer, whether it's a pint or a bottle on Whyte Avenue or downtown is $5 bucks. Some places you may pay up to $6.50 maybe $7 dollars tops like at pricier places like Sherlock Holmes or Kelly's Pub but places sych as: Hudson's, The Pint, Black dog O'Byrne's, Leopolds, Cabin, Greta, The Local, Brown's social hall, Original Joe's, Earl's, 1st Rnd, Canadian brewhouse, Canadian icehouse, Cactus club, & MKT, etc. You're not paying more than $4-7 bucks and maybe $7-10 bucks if you're getting 24 ounce pint, a tankered or Stein or an imported beer with a very high alcohol percentage of 7%-9%. And that's every day all day including Friday and Saturday nights, etc. So at this neighbourhood bar on a Tuesday evening it's double the cost of everywhere else in the city. Bud Light with a tip was $11 that's more than the Commonwealth Stadium at football games! At the Commonwealth, you can get a big tall boy can fat Can for $10.75 -- and a regular sized pint or can of Coors light Bud Light, Pilsner, Miller, etc., for $8.75

This is a very large new hall run by folks that love pool and understand their customers. Service is friendly and attentive even though they are only a few weeks old. Bathrooms are clean and staff works together to keep things going smoothly in my experiences. If you have lunch they have a special where you even get an hour of free pool! They have 2 bar tables 18 nine foot tables that are fast and solid! And for the snooker enthusiast some of the best tables (4) you will find in Alberta! Pool is by the hour regardless of the amount of people on your group. They also have a whole bunch of top notch ping ping tables ($10/hr) and top quality dart boards (with complimentary darts available) and darts fun is free. The food... it is actually very very good and portions are spot on! They have all day brekkie and my favorite thing is the Cajun chicken sandwich which is phenomenal. Great fries and gravy and everything I had I liked as well as those I have brought there. Pool tourneys are ramping up so be sure to like their Facebook page for new dates. Sunday 6 Red snooker and Friday is handicapped nine ball. What else can you say other than there is a top facility for pool now where you can get a whole experience! Enjoy!

I've tried the pizza bread, nachos and both Cajun chicken and grilled cheese sandwiches, all of which were tasty and all of which were in the $6-9 range. The beer is cheap and cold, although I'll never forget the conversation when I first sat down: Waitress: "What'll you have to drink?" Me: "What kind of beers do you have on tap?" Waitress: "Canadian." Me: "I'll have a Canadian." Service here is very good. The ladies who have served me remember my name, and are always warm. Mary in particular is a totally amazing server, and one of my favourite waitresses in the city - I look forward to seeing her every time I go! Make no mistake though, these servers know how rough around the edges their clientele can be, and they don't take crap. I can tell. Karaoke nights are hilarious and just as unpretentious as the rest of the Hawkeye's experience. Go on a Thursday-Saturday night and find out for yourself! I'm always enjoy my visits here; great little spot in downtown Edmonton.

This is such an odd little place. It's barely a block off the really trendy part of Jasper Ave,…read moreclose to trendy spots like The Hat. It draws some of the same crowd in as those more popular bars, but it also has a real mix of people filling up the tables and booths. It's a lower-scale place that's part restaurant, part bar. The pizza was surprisingly VERY yummy here! Although they don't have very many beers on tap (I think it was a total of 1), we still had a really fun night with a big group of friends here. Out waitress (I forget her name, but everyone else seemed to know her) was fantastic. She was friendly and attentive (which was very impressive given how busy the place was). I would come by again for the pizza and a beer next time I'm in the mood for a very laid-back evening.
