Downsides: the primary staff member I spoke with about an ottoman wasn't overly friendly and definitely wasn't helpful, but the young man who lent me his measuring tape was a gem. I also found the "ambiance" of this place to be a bit yuck- the lighting was a strange shade of yellow that I think was raining on my parade. I was super impressed by the selection and great prices. It gives me a Scandinavian similar box store vibe if you catch my drift. I was surprised to find that Jysk had better prices on a lot of stuff. After looking through the store, I wound up deciding to order online. And this is where this location earns its stars. What I didn't know was even though it says "local delivery" online they use a different shipping company. So even though my furniture was coming from this location it wasn't delivered by the same people. So when I waited around all evening during my scheduled delivery window I wasn't impressed. After placing a call to the store, the gentleman I spoke to in the warehouse was so helpful and apologetic. Within 10 minutes he had returned my call, after speaking to the online store (who had no record of my delivery at all) and offered me several solutions. I wasn't happy my delivery was missed, but I'm super happy with how it was handled by the Sherwood Park location.

Fun LARGE home decor store located in the 124 street shopping area…read more Popped in here for the first time the other week while completing the 124 Street Red Shoe Crawl and absolutely fell in love with the store. From hand shaped book ends to the neatest hooks you'll ever find to keep your keys safe (did someone say squirrel?) to funky house numbers, Henry's is your place! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere bright, cheery, and full of natural light with huge floor to ceiling windows. They also carry a selection of furniture and had some fabric swatches so I'm pretty sure they are customizable. Can't wait to go back and add to my unusual hooks collection!

What a street party! Many many unique decorator items, furniture, lighting, art, even some really really nice clothing at fair prices! Nicely laid out vignettes of furniture, and the staff were quite gracious and helpful considering how many people were in the store that night. Depending what you are shopping for, you will want to spend some time exploring all the corners nooks and crannies for nifty items. I was particularly fascinated by the selection of hooks and LED lighting. The challenge with this neighbourhood is the parking, it's limited, and frequently you will need to resort to paying for either a meter on the street or in the Impark lot behind MEC. The bridge construction has been difficult for businesses in the area, and now the development going up kitty-corner to Henry's PFT will add to the challenge. Leave yourself some time, make a trip out of it, stop for a bite to eat and you will have a more relaxing visit.

They specialize in handcrafted glass home decor which they create themselves in the workshop at the back of the store. Everything is truly a work of art here and deserves to be admired at every angle -- and yes, it's all pure glass, so tread through the shop slowly and carefully (hey, if I made it through okay, so can you)! My favorites were the martini glasses and flutes, with beautiful streaks of colored glass. This is a great place to check out if you're looking for a unique gift. It's a bit pricey, but then again, all their stuff is handmade. The Cat's Glass is more than a gift shop however, because they specialize in customized windows as well. Glass is their thing here, so if it's glass you want, this is where you need to be.

I think the store is a wonderful idea, but I am just not into retro! They carry furniture and home accents from the 1950's through to the 1980's. The inventory changes all the time and they only carry items in close to if not perfect condition. I do really like some of the light fixtures they have as well as the odd funky lamp, but I just don't know that I could find a loving home for a lot of the items in there. It is an acquired taste for sure and if you LOVE garage sales, yard sales, and retro collectibles then you will LOVE this store!

The only problem was that we chose the incorrect cushion firmness for us. We phoned and replacement inexpensive cushions were quickly ordered and quickly arrived. The owner offered to change them for us while we waited. Now it is really comfortable in addition to gorgeous. Hopefully after all of our hunting, we will still love our new sofa for decades to come, as we did our original sofa, which is why it was so difficult to find a replacement! Lori D

Be especially careful to keep an eye on the delivery team if you do use them. When my mother ordered a chair, they damaged the leg on her wall (also damaging the wall). Thankfully she saw it happen.
