Torta bread made fresh in house.
    Belikewater W.

"Cemita poblana" is a torta from Puebla. They come in at 4am to make the dough for the rolls, let it rise, and then bake them in-house. Huge delicious sandwich that can feed 2 easily. They serve beer in the bottle- Modelo, Negra, Tecate. 90% of the customers are Mexican, so I wouldn't listen to a gabacho's review about price. There is a private parking lot. Order at the counter, then seat yourself. Service is friendly, but English is limited. No frills but basic no-nonsense good food. If you're expecting free chips & salsa & a sombrero, this isn't the place.

Came here after seeing pictures of the sandwiches on yelp. These sandwiches are Huge! And pretty tasty. I had the cemita carne asada with 2 types of cheese (queso fresco & oaxaca?) & lots of it! there was little meat but seemed to be just enough for the huge sandwich, avacados and grilled onions with a choice of green salsa, chipotle or jalapenos. I had the green salsa which was just ok. I had it to go so by the time i got home the cheese was a little melted & not stringy. The bread was really good, with a crunchy crust. The next time I go I'll eat in & I'm sure the bread will be even better!

The food was BOMB.COM! The salsa roja was just perfect with my tacos de chorizo and Cemita de pollo! The señora serving us was very nice and funny. I came all the way from Reno and this is the best Mexican food I've had here.

Hands down the best sandwiches in town. It's ten dollars for a cemita but they are giant. More than enough and we'll worth the price. The last time I had food this good was at my grandma's house in Mexico. I'm so glad I found this place. They make bread every morning and you can definitely tell. I've also tried their red enchiladas and rice and man oh man are you missing out. These people are not messing around. So get your shit together and go get you some of the best sandwiches you have ever tasted. Ps Get the extra cheese you won't regret it.

This place was cash only when I went. The people are super sweet and were trying to help my husband decide even though my husband speaks no Spanish. We ate in and split a cemita de pierna which was bomb af & had my torta loving husband questioning which he liked better. Seriously. Bomb as hell and worth my messy self staining my face with chipotle sauce. I'll be back y'all. For real for real. Also def enough for two people I shared with my husband.

Get a cemita. Get both cheeses. They are plenty big enough to share, but you may not want to.

Very flavorful, full of tripe and you can order it with or without hominy. Mine also came with a pork knuckle but my companion's had a huge knuckle with a ton of meat on it. I ordered mine with hominy. Prices were a bit high but the portion was well above average. Be forewarned, the menudo came with the customary chopped onions & cilantro and lime. But they also add a small vial of hot sauce. I like spicy but that stuff lit me up!!! Be very respectful of if. Extremely friendly service. I would give this a 9.5 out of 10.

Absolutely incredible spot for Mexican soups! The prices might be higher than you're expecting, but…read morethe portions are massive and can feed 2-3 people. They're hearty, warming, and flavorful. The staff are sweet and very quick. You order at the counter and then sit anywhere. It's a smaller space but didn't seem too busy on a Sunday afternoon. My friends and I got the Caldo de Res, Pozole Verde, and Menudo Rojo. All of them were hits--my Mexican friend said the Menudo was one of the best he'd ever had. And they all paired so well with their fresh homemade corn tortillas. Definitely a hidden gem and I'm dying to come back and try their tamales.
