Cool small beach, was all families. Great place to snorkel. The reef is barely hanging on though.

How can you rate a beach bad. The beach is perfect. I came to Treasure Island Beach a couple weeks…read moreago and brought a friend from out of town. They had the sand sculptures up and it was amazing. Truly beautiful and incredible to see in person. The beach itself is clean, well kept, and absolutely gorgeous. Parking was not too hard to find and it was reasonably priced, which is always a plus. You can also tell they really cleaned up well after the hurricane. Everything looked great and it was such a nice place to spend the day. I will always recommend this beach.

Paying for parking immediately. Set the tone, especially since there's nothing particularly special about this beach. On top of that, I didn't realize until after I paid for parking that it's not dog friendly, which feels ridiculous for such a wide open public space. Sand, I did venture out for a while and the sound was ultra fine which super annoying. The views are okay and it wasn't crowded which is nice but now I know why. Most of the people I saw were much older and were fully dressed walking on the pathway and not really utilizing the beach. There are so many beaches in Florida. I'm not sure why anyone comes here. Nothing stood out or made us want to stay or really justified all the inconveniences. This beach is just meh and if you're close by ok but definitely not worth going out of your way for.

The beaches were absolutely beautiful with soft white sand and clear Gulf water that looked straight out of a travel magazine. Even though it's a popular park, it still felt peaceful and relaxing. One of the coolest parts was how much variety there is here. You can relax on the beach, bike the trails, go kayaking, fish, camp, or explore the historic Spanish-American War-era fort. Walking through the old fort while looking out over the water was such a unique experience and made the park feel completely different from a normal beach destination. We also spotted wild Nanday Parakeets flying around the park, which made the whole place feel even more tropical and unforgettable. Seeing bright green parrots while standing near the ocean was definitely not something we expected. Everything felt very clean, well maintained, and easy to access. Fort De Soto Park is the kind of place where you could easily spend an entire day and still not see everything. We would absolutely come back again and highly recommend adding this spot to your Florida bucket list. Check out our video on our socials @reessroots

My husband and I had a wonderful time bouncing around to find different places to snorkel. We've never snorkeled in the area so we didn't know what we were looking for. The knowledgeable WKT crew had many suggestions and found spaces where we could enjoy the waters and sea creatures away from the crowds. The activities: We got to see the fort ruins, saw wildlife in the seagrass, and hung out in the sandbars where we found sand dollars and shells with every step. The ride: The World Cat was impressively stable on choppy water and operated smoothly. There is a sink and head to make those long outings comfortable. There is plenty of seating. A few people may be able to recline in the bow under a retractable bimini cover. The size of the boat made it possible for us to get into shallow areas and anchor wherever we wanted. If you're visiting the area or are a local looking for a private boat with a captain to give your small group a wonderful, custom tour, Wayward is the way to go!

However, crew was freaking fantastic. We saw dozens of dolphins sporadically in the wake of the boat. Egmont Key was full of dead fish, but that's due to Red Tide, not this company. They couldn't help that. We still enjoyed exploring. Then off to Shell Island to snorkel. The water wasn't super blue, more green but again, Red Tide, and not their fault. It was still slightly clear. We had a blast. We found tons of sand dollars and nice shells. Saw some fish. The best part was being able to jump off the boat once we anchored. I would super recommend this place, perfect for the price. Tips: They provide coolers and ice, they also provided all snorkel gear for both adults and kids

Although the water was cold and Nolan mentioned some fish weren't out, we still saw plenty and thoroughly enjoyed the calm ride through Sarasota Bay with beautiful views of the city skyline.
