She talked me through the wineries of the region including stories about the owners and which types were popular. She got even more friendly when I said I was on a beer tour and recommended some others that I didn't have time for on this visit. The store is mostly open air with big sliding doors, a handful of tables outside. Inside is a table for tastings, lots of wine shelves around really show off the labels. It was a hit with my friend, so I was happy to be led here.

Emily hosted our tasting and was fantastic. She's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about wine, especially from smaller, local producers. She shared so many great stories behind the vineyards and had a ton of interesting wines for us to try -- all of which felt thoughtfully chosen. Her recommendations were spot on. We did a tasting for six without a reservation, which was a lucky break. They've only been open about a year, but I have a feeling this place won't stay under the radar for long. The space theme is fun (even the bathroom trash can is cool), and the prices are very reasonable. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying even more new wines. Thanks so much Emily, we can't stop raving about the experience!

Our host, Jose, was so knowledgeable about the property and history, and great to enjoy the experience with. We tasted their reserve Sauvignon Blanc as a welcome wine, two different Chardonnays from Napa and Sonoma Coast, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, and their "Big Blend" of multiple bold red varietals. The wines were delicious, and the food pairings elevated the experience even more. I absolutely recommend Lewis Cellars!

When arriving to the property Judy at the front reception area checked us in and welcomed us with a refreshing splash of Chardonnay which is a fine and welcoming invitation to their tasting facilities. Shortly there after we were escorted to our wine tasting area which fortunately was inside (they did have ample outdoor seating) as it was rather warm this day. We were the only group in this tasting area at this time and were seated at a grand long table, all of the glasses and personalized menus were pre set. It was all visually impressive. The ambiance felt refined and polished in the newly reimagined tasting area, Gabriel glassware (for all you winos who know), comfortable upholstered seats and great views of the valley floor beneath. Our hosts name was Jose (if I recall correctly) he was gracious and informative about the wines. He made the experience extra special by pouring some of their reserve wines for our tasting and went above and beyond by bringing a couple of small canapé bites for our group as a special birthday treat!! Kudos to the culinary team as well the food bites were delicious and paired beautifully with the wines. I would love to come back and experience their full food menu offerings over the weekends. We likely went over our tasting experience time however there was no sense of being rushed out as I have experienced at other vineyards, the entire team was welcoming during our tasting. It was all of our first visit at this property and won't be the last. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting to try good Chardonnay's and bold Cabernet's with trendy food offerings.

Right up front he asked what kind of information we would like to discuss with each wine, giving us the opportunity to prioritize our interests. And the wine! The WINE! It was hard to believe that the reds poured for us would still require aging as the vintages (2020 & 2021) felt so perfect as is. All they lacked was a plate of ribeye and buttered greens, perhaps a beouf bourguignon. I went home with three bottles, '24 estate Chardonnay (crisp, neutral oak, had to have a glass after tasting), '21 Oakville cab, and the '21 reserve cab (absolutely outstanding, I nursed this pour for a while) Highly recommend! Then treat yourself to lunch at the oakville general store. A heavenly way to start the day and end our trip in the area. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

We were there on a recent Sunday for a 2:25 tasting and were seated in a table in the ornate tasting room. There was a carafe of water and bread sticks on the table. There were three tables and a large table of eight in the middle of the room. The room opens up to a beautiful garden. We were here for A Taste of Groth experience and were greeted by Curt who was our host for the tasting. Curt was personable and gave us a history of the Groth, which was founded by the former CFO of Atari, the video game company. For the tasting we were served a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Proprietary Red and a bonus pour of the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. All the wines were delicious with my favorites being the Reserve Cabernet for the red and Sauvignon Blace for the white. Curt was informative and explained the background of each wine that was poured. We were invited to take our last pour and enjoy in the garden and winery grounds. We had a great tasting experience in our tasting of the delicious Groth wines. It was enjoyable two hour visit. We now know what is Groth and its history from our great pourer, Curt.
