Impossible to place order on phone..They answer and put you on hold for 20 mins..when you call again and tell them they forgot you they do it again! Have a person assigned to answer phone..it's a mad house going there to order in person and 45 min wait for order and getting food in person. Need better management the system makes no sense. We gave up and cooked our own eggs. Defeated the purpose of grabbing food for a road trip when it's faster to make it yourself.. read more

This place was ok. I went there a handful of times because I liked their bagels. I recently ordered a bagel here and they forgot about me and I stood there like an idiot for like ten minutes. I walked out an will never go back. read more

What a disgrace paid 7 dollars for a blt and when we got them we decide from that point forward we will take our business else. Over priced and no bacon all lettuce and tomato. I don't see why this place is even busy rather go to Strathmore or bagels your way read more

Cella Bagels - Bagels Near Me - Selden, New York

Fabulously crispy bacon in the bacon cheddar cream cheese, making a decadent, savory treat for the morning. The bagels are huge, crispy on the outside while remaining airy but chewy in the middle, and the toppings/flavors are generous. Plus, the bagels are freshly baked daily, and the options are great. Love when we get these in the office! read more

no one here knows what a scrambled egg is. i ask for EXTRA WELL scrambled and what i get is most certainly not scrambled. this place is a disappointment. read more

We love it here! My son won't go to any other bagel store around. The staff are super nice! Really helpful, kind, and efficient. The food is awesome! Everything is so very good! read more

Looking to get a nice wrap , says theyre open till 4pm arrived at 3:15pm and the doors are all locked, i pulled on door and lady behind counter just looked at me while wiping a plate, why are the doors locked 40 mins before closing? read more

Yes, I'm aware bacon is a greasey meat. I wasn't aware that it could be served this greasey. I ordered a breakfast platter consisting of two eggs, bacon, and home fries for $6 or $7. I was given 3 strips of super greasey bacon, the saddest excuse of home fries I've tasted, and 2 eggs. Usually home fries are fried or cooked in a skillet, or some sort of stove top. Here they're microwaved in front of your very eyes. Just imagine diced, boiled potatoes with no seasoning. I could have gotten a plate at the diner for the same price with two times the amount of food, and a far better taste. read more

Delicious bagels, delicious cream cheese all found in a quirky places that likes the 50s. I've only gotten bagels with cream cheese but so far all the various flavors of both that I've tried have been delicious. Cella's also seems like they do lunch sandwiches which I'm sure are amazing too. I'm excited to go back. read more

Not great, I ordered two bagels and asked for them both to be toasted. Neither bagel was toasted and they both bagels tasted stale and old. Will not be back soon! read more

This is an updated review. I previously felt as though this establishment showed preferential treatment which really upset me. However, I have to say, I received a response from someone at Cella Bagels who took the time to care enough to try to assess and evaluate what happened that particular day. He offered to correct the situation and that means a lot. It speaks volumes for him and his establishment. I wanted to say ... thank you. read more

Service is poor. Each time I've been in, I've been served by someone who acts like I am intruding on their life. Also, double check your order, they tend not to get half of it correct. read more

Yes it is very busy, and no the staff cant keep up with the busy flow but PEOPLE we are talking about WATER BAGELS!!! nobody does them like this anymore, STRATHMORE and JE-JO"S all use pre baked frozen bagels..This place is doing it old school with water bagels and then baking them..Call ahead so you don't have to wait and if you have to wait it will be worth it read more

I love this cute little place! I stop by here often and the people behind the counter are so nice. The food is really great and the overall environment of it is all retro and awesome. Definitely A+ in my book! read more

my egg sandwich was cold when i got it that the cheese wasnt melted thats how cold it was, and i waited for awhile and my bf got a wrap that was extremely disappointed for the $$$ for egg sandwich and wrap and there was barely anything in it. I WILL NEVER GO THERE!! for the price i paid i could of gotten heros with stuffed cold cuts that i couldnt fit in my mouth. They are out of their minds with the price!! Its selden....not manhasset. read more

Shut the hell up are you the cook is that why you're so hostile.I can voice my opinion. Maybe if they got a new cook the food might be good otherwise they don't know how to cook. Have A Nice Day Deuces read more

Terrible! I called in an order, arrived 5 minutes later, after 20 minutes of waiting they started to "cook" the order. Home fries are wrapped in wax paper and microwaved. "Over medium " eggs are rubbery and well done. Bacon has no flavor. Staff doesn't even know they offer egg platters or what comes with them! read more

Decided to stop by this place while I was working in the area. Awesome. Great bagels, great egg sandwiches. Always enough of everything on each sandwich bacon etc. the bagels are great and made in house. I haven't been to strathmore or any other bagel/breakfast joint since I found Cella. Highly recommend read more

I had to wait 25 minutes for 2 deli sandwiches for $16. They didn't even have to cook anything, just meat lettuce and cheese. Sandwiches were good but I won't go there again. read more

None better!!! Great bagel cream cheese and lox!!! Outstanding service and ambience!!!

The bagels are cooked perfectly and you never wind up with a stale leftover. Egg sandwiches are always cooked just how you want them and come with coffee during the week. Go for a bagel breakfast or lunch - they make delicious designer sandwiches. Try the roast beef with horseradish. The place has a '50s theme and is cute and clean. The owner and employees are super nice. Today I left my wallet at home and instead of me having to drive home to get my cash they told me to just come back some day in the future. That is something I would not expect nowadays. Close to Home Depot and Petco. read more

I have been going to cella bagels for years now. The food is always amazing. Donna Marie is awesome and an amazing cook!!!

This gets an average score for me. The ambiance is great especially compared to other bagel places in the area. But the food is not so impressive. I got a wrap, egg whites, turkey some veggies and I was so disappointed. It was tiny! Like pretty damn small and was bland. They have a nice selection and menu and the bagels are made there, so they get high marks for that, but the prepared food is not so good. Also the parking lots is TINY and really hard to make a left from! Bad intersection! Be careful getting in and out. read more

I give two stars for the decor and cleanliness. no crowds today and service was very good but my bagels seamed under cooked not crisp on the outside and very doughy. Not good. Setup and location looked great, this place has potential, maybe a menu change and new cooks would help. read more

I have recently reviewed this place and I was impressed with the courteous staff and the bagels are great. So I came back with a friend. She had apparently gotten a remote start at jazz audio before it moved and told me it was the same owner. She said they were running a special and must have given her car the "cheap special" treatment because she had to have it redone elsewhere. I guess they had screwed up the electrical system. What's crazy about this, is that she said the guy who helped her was clearly high! That's BAD business. But figured that was a long time ago and bagels aren't cars, right? As she and I were chatting, she darted her eyes towards the register so I could turn and see the owner. He was walking around, watching the employees. I turned around and continued eating. Next thing I hear is him SCREAMING at a woman. A much older woman, and he had her cornered between the registers and what I assumed to be the back kitchen. I scanned the dining room and everyone looked dumbfounded. Wasn't much I couldn't make out because we were sitting too close to the jukebox (which is annoyingly loud!) You just don't treat employees, PEOPLE and especially A WOMAN that way. My other friends were going to see about having their son's birthday party catered by Cella. Now I kinda feel silly for mentioning that. Never again. read more

I have driven by this bagel place many times in the selden area. One of the last places I would have thought to have gone for bagels. One morning, me and my girlfriend decided to try something new. When you first walk in, you get the feel of being in the 1950's, from the furniture to the music. They have a pretty big menu and a good amount of drinks available. Their bagels have a really nice taste and texture. Very easy to eat and full of a lot of flavor. Their egg sandwiches are very tasty as well. read more

I placed an order over the phone and they said the wait would be 15 minutes. So when I got there 15 minutes later, they were all standing and talking and no one asked me if I needed help. When I finally got someone's attention I told them I placed an order over the phone. I payed and left. I come home and see that they messed up my entire order. Both of my sandwiches didn't have cheese even though they charged me for it. And they put my eggs on the wrong bagel. I would suggest to skip this bagel place and go to another one. read more

The bagels were ok but they could've been better. But the prices were very low. Everything else was pretty good.

Great yummy big bagels made where you can see them with plenty of cream cheese. The atmosphere is bright and fun, with a jukebox and 1950's decor. The staff is very friendly. When we go on the weekends, the line isn't too bad, and there are people at the door to open them for you. The prices are comparable to most other places around, but the bagels are better. read more

Not a bad bagel place. The bagels are fresh but sometimes you have to wait for them. Why you should have to wait for sesame bagels though is an interesting question. You would think those would be in stock all the time. But the bagels are good and the place, though kind of small for eating in, is inviting. read more

We tried this place today. Slow, bad attitude service, didn't have a vast selection for being a bagel place. Weird themed for bagels, I'd expect a root beer float when I walked in. Waste of money read more

Fresh, delicious bagels; amazing home fries! Love the interior designing in there. Great place to eat.

While the actual food isn't bad.. the service is AWFUL!!! They couldn't get an order right if you paid them too.. It's a shame they can't get their act together.. read more

I live within a couple of miles from 8 bagel stores including Cella's. I've tried them all with my teen age son dinning by my side. Cella Bagels is our favorite in town. Their bagels are boiled and then baked and that is why they taste great and are always soft and chewy. My kid loves their french toast bagel. We usually go on the weekends which is busy so sometimes you have to wait because Everything is fresh and made to order so I don't mind. I like the self serve coffee station so you can make your coffee the way you like it and get a free refill. The portions are generous and the the prices are low. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is 50's Rock and Roll Cool and the food is excellent! read more

I recently moved into the selden area and this bagel joint has become my go too! The bagels here are always fresh and also has the best ham and cheese omelette. I go here almost every weekend, the only downside is the wait, it takes about 20 mins just to get a simple thing as a bagel. read more

I order bacon and sausage on a plain butter bagel. How do you mess that up???? Ask these people. Bacon turns into cheddar cheese and butter disappears. Last time I'm coming here. Bunch of dumb useless people who can't even make a bagel. read more

Been there a couple of times now the bagels are okay nothing special. I do like the cleanliness of the place and the fact it's new. They definetly need a bigger parking lot and the service needs to be sped up. There's a lot of confusion behind the counter and it's difficult to get to. read more

I go there at least twice a month. I like the atmosphere, and the friendliness,. Service is good, bagels are big and tasty. Clean, always busy, A bit pricey, but your paying for the atmosphere. I like that they open the door and welcome you in. Parking is much better now. Only one thing bothered me, one day when I parked in the back part of the lot I saw a worker or two smoking , Which got me to wonder when they're through do they wash their hands or do they just put gloves. on? To me smoking and handling food don't mix. yes Im a non smoker, but that shouldn't matter. Sorry! I still love the place and will continue to go there. read more
