Friendly and fast service. The people behind the counter are patient abd answer questions. The place has a cool relaxed oldies meets new vibe. They're are plenty of sandwich options and combinations. The bagels are so good and have a good chew. I got the seasme bagel with two eggs and a hashbrown. The eggs were cooked perfectly to my liking, over easy. I only wish they had some salt and pepper on the eggs. Iced coffee was fine. I really liked the red velvet muffin. The place is clean but not the bathroom. First time dropping by this bagel shop the other day and the first thing I noticed was the cool 50's Mel's Drive-In retro interior with memorabilia and art on the walls. The second thing I noticed was the "bagels only" order line which made me very happy. The other bagel shop just down the street ( Desiree's ) doesn't feature this so you can be standing on line there forever while all their counter staff are in the back making egg sandwiches. Also, in this Covid era it's not the smartest thing to have a winding line full of people standing around inside waiting. Keep the line moving quickly! That being said I walked right up, ordered a half dozen bagels, and was out of there in mere minutes. They way it should be. As I drove past the other place the winding line was still there and so glad I left it as I would still be waiting. The bagels here are a nice size, more chewy than crisp, but very tasty. Counter person who helped me was friendly. Quick glance at their menu and they also make breakfast and deli meat sandwiches. I'll be back next time visiting family out here. read more

I ordered two sandwiches and according to the order board it was 7.49 and 6.49 came out to 21 dollars when it should have been around 16 maybe max 17 with tax. I believe that I was over charged but I didn't want to hold up the line so I just paid and left. Then when I opened up my sandwiches both were wrong. I realized that on the slips that were written out it was listed wrong so it was not the kitchen, the person who took my order clearly did not listen. I still ate the sandwich since the mess up was a plain bagel instead of an egg bagel, it was good but just not what I wanted. My boyfriend got the wrong type of cheese. I also saw that the person who took my order wrote "extra" on my order however I did not get anything extra on my sandwich so maybe that's why I was overcharged. However I didn't get anything extra so I should have not been charged for that. Overall I was so disappointed with the experience and will not be returning or recommending this place. read more

Its always a hit or miss at this place. The lines can be long and service is quite slow. Last time i ordered a toasted bagel with butter my bagel was cold and the slab of butter they rubbed on didn't even melt. But the bagel was toasted so it didn't even make any sense. Average bagels. I was charged $4.30 for a bagel with cream cheese. What else can I say. This place is robbing people. I've been going to this place for years. There is no justification for a price hike like the one I just experienced today. A $2 bagel at worst case $3 anywhere else. Again simple bagel with cream cheese $4.30 No eggs no protein or anything off the kitchen, a plain old stail cold bagel $4.30. Would not be fatten these people's pockets any more. Their bagels are delicious, Their salads taste amazing (I love their potato salad and I am very picky when it comes to potato salad) and their staff is amazing. I only moved to the area a little over 2 years ago yet they treat me like I have been a customer for years. Benny, Ginger and Mike are great and try to fill your orders as fast as possible. Great, another bagel place in the area... Actually, good, a GREAT bagel place in the area! Peek in the back area when you're at the counter - yup, they're actually making the bagels here. AND.. THEY DELIVER! I'll have to update with details on that, but on a lazy sunday morning when it's too cold to go out and drive, I have the feeling this will come in handy like what.. The bagels are damn good, with a not-too-crisp exterior, but not soft either. The interior is soft and airy, and like fresh bread (I know, duh!) - not like a sponge, so while the bagels are pretty big and filling, they don't sit like an indigestion-causing rock in your stomach for the rest of the afternoon. I have yet to grab one of their sandwiches, this is simply based on a quick stop in on my way to work. But the interior is also pretty pleasant (if you like classic cars and 50's style stuff) it's deserving of some photos. Maybe they'll let me in the back to take pics of the bagel-factorium at work! Went this morning at around 915 for the first time. My boyfriend and I got the same breakfast special. It included two eggs with cheese, a meat of choice and potatoes. When we got the food it was wrong. In one of the orders the eggs were not cooked the way requested, and both platters were missing cheese. The error was quickly fixed. The menu stated that all specials include juice or coffee. When I asked about it, I was told, "not on weekends." I was a bit taken back because nowhere on the menu did it state that it was only a "monday-friday" special. Breakfast ended up costing around $18 since we had to get our drinks separately...which I feel is a bit pricy for a bagel place. However, the food was tasty. Would we come back? Aside from the bagels being sub-par, the service has been consistently poor here. I've had to wait for quite some time for a bagel, and also had my bagel hero order for a party completely disregarded. I must say, this Cella can make a pretty gnarly egg sandwich, I'm impressed. The bagels here are fresh daily. That's a plus. The egg sandwiches are delicious. That's a plus. An Asiago bagel lightly toasted with butter, (Combo #5) Bacon, Ham, 2 Eggs over Medium, and Cheese with a Yoohoo and a small Iced Tea. Price came out to just north of $10, which in my eyes isn't terrible. I mean, you are getting a hefty egg sandwich and two drinks. The only thing I wasn't much of a fan with was the seating... Just seems small inside. Not much seating room inside, just seems really cluttered perhaps booths or something like that to accommodate their stay customers. I do like the theme inside. This whole "rocking 50's" theme. All the old cars, a jukebox (which you can't touch). Staff seemed really sweet. One guy behind the counter was being taught what to do, but he seemed very nice and respectful. Like I was saying the only real thing I can see is that the place could be revamped in my eyes.
