I really like this place. The bagels are very good and are a good price. I work in the same plaza so it's a very convenient place to go in the mornings. That being said, I have never had a pleasant customer service experience. All the workers I have interacted with have been very negative and slightly rude. This morning I went in and it was busy, to be expected on a Sunday morning. I did not mind waiting. However when it was my time to place my order I walked up to the counter with enthusiasm and said to the girl at the counter "hi how are you". As she looked at me with a look of annoyance she responded with "what can I get you". Once I told her she just walked away and said nothing. I fully understand being tired or overwhelmed, like I said it was quite busy, but I do not think that that is an excuse to be nasty to customers. Especially considering I came at her with positivity and it was not returned. Not to mention they did not seem to be under staffed as there were many employees behind the counter. Now as I said this is a common occurrence at this place and I have gone at times where there has been no one in the store and still received this attitude. I do enjoy this establishment and will continue to return. I just think this is an issue to take into consideration. read more

It's interesting how some things work out. I think the word is serendipity. I was in the area for one thing and I was right next to a shop I had bookmarked for a while now. So "Bagel Lovers" was getting love from me today. It's is located on the service road of Sunrise Highway in a huge shopping center. Parking is plenty. The building from afar is the color of olive and stands out. But it's what inside that brings everything together. It's a standard look, but very clean. What I noticed right away was how busy it was. There were definitely a lot of faces looking to order, so I jumped in line quickly. The lady behind the counter, I must say was extremely pleasant. She helped my brother and I make our selections. She even joked a bit and went right to work. Once the order came it was tap and pay and then we sat. The lady at the counter respected the bagel. What I mean is she put plenty of cream cheese on it. I should add, that they make the bagels fresh daily and they definitely make them bigger than average. Also, they have a huge selection of cream cheese to choose from. Now back to my food. The bagel was a good size and it looked good. However, the taste stood out more than anything. It was the right combination of strawberry cream cheese and cinnamon raisin to complement each other. I only wish I asked for it toasted, but it was great nonetheless. Coming back to this location is definitely in the cards. I have yet to try their breakfast sandwiches. Employees prepare all meals with gloves. There are 11 tables available to sit down and eat. Sadlu, the floor was strewn with brown leaves and thus appeared as it had not been swept in some time. IMPORTANT: DOORDASH is the only method of online ordering. According to an anonymous store employee, Bagel Lover's Patchogue website has not been updated for a few years, and that is why the ChowNow link is still there. Long time customer, know the owner for a very long time and the menu is great, but, on the weekends, counter service is terrible. Wait times can exceed 30 mins. (Today was 24 mins for two bagels and an egg sandwich) They have a lot of young kids working the counter that are pretty disorganized and sometimes are in need of a lesson in manners. Compounding, if you watch carefully, you'll notice that customers that placed similar orders to yours that were on line behind you get their orders before you, sometimes LONG before you.
