Stopped here on a Saturday to get a Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on an Everything Bagel. The line was long, but that normally means you're at the right place. Service was friendly and I don't feel like I had to wait too long. My bagel sandwich was tasty! I feel like it was a good size and cooked well. Second time here today . The first time I came here I got a dozen bagels to bring to Florida with me. My cousin described them as euphoric. They were very good. I don't know why I haven't been back in so long. I decided to stop in today for an egg sandwich. I got BEC with hot sauce on an everything bagel. It was so delicious. My fiancé had SECSPK on a seedless roll. He said it was really good. Staff was very friendly this morning (7/11/25 around 830am) too. Service with a smile. Definitely coming here more often and driving the extra few minutes from my apartment to do so. read more

Not bad for a Medford bagel. Maybe a bit too well done for me but not bad at all. I think where this shop thrives is the cream cheese. The olive cream cheese is no joke here. Deli ice tea wasn't bad either. Maybe a little too light and not as sweet as usual. The place was bigger than I thought it would be with a few spots to sit. I got a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and there wasn't much egg in it. The bacon portion was fair and cooked well. The bagel was just ok with no toppings on the bottom which had a commercial look to it. The service was very good but they were understaffed and I waited about 10-12 minutes for my food. The setting was clean with apparent regulars customers and delivery people coming in to pick up orders. I'd go back if in the area but it wouldn't be my first choice if I were a local. read more

This is my go to place for bagels and egg sandwiches in the area! They're always busy which just goes to show that I'm not the only one who thinks they're great. Went to Joel's bagels today starving to death, but they didn't have any more everything bagels, which I was craving so Jefferson at the counter suggested the everything twist. I worked in the Bagel business for many years extremely picky. I asked him to scoop out as much as possible, and usually when you ask people to do that, they roll their eyes and they do it half assed. This kid scooped out every little bit of that bagel for me and put the perfect amount of jalapeño cream cheese. Thank you so so so so much. For decades now, I have bought bagels into work, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I now work in Medford, and I needed to find bagels. I went on to YELP, and saw that Joel's Bagels was the closest place to where I worked, which was highly rated. Walked in to a very well kept store, the bagels were wonderfully displayed. The young girl behind the counter was very helpful assisting me with my selection. We wished each other a Happy Thanksgiving and I went to work. The car smelled fantastic with the aroma of fresh, warm bagels. I brought them in and placed them where everyone can get at them, and finally I had one. I had made the correct choice in going to Joel's: THE BAGELS WERE FANTASTIC! I received compliments about them all day long, and froze the leftovers to bring home. They're still great! A local gem, Joels Bagels is a must-stop shop for all of your bagel, sandwich, and breakfast on-the-go needs. With a wide variety of cream cheeses, sandwiches, bagels, and more, there is something for every palette to enjoy on the run. Service is always friendly and efficient adding to a more pleasant start to anyone's morning. My husband and I have staple bagel favorites when coming into Joels Bagels. We love our egg sandwiches: egg everything bagel with eggs, bacon, cheese, ketchup, and salt and pepper (his) and a garlic or rainbow bagel with eggs and bacon (mine). The bagels are always the perfect texture/chew and the sandwiches themselves are consistently crafted with care. Everything always just melts in our mouths. We have been patrons of Joels Bagels since they opened, although we now live out of state, they're always at the top of our list to get our bagel/breakfast fix while we're in town visiting family. The owner is there every morning we stop in actively helping out the staff and warmly greeting his customers. Despite how busy it is, he will always come around the counter to greet us with a hug and smile. He is always thrilled to see my husband and me when we're in town and stop by the shop, which makes going to Joels also feel like catching up with family. I'm from Long Island but currently live in western New York. I come down once a year to visit and see family. I remember getting a bagel from this place years ago and it was decent. Being that I was in the area, I got 18 bagels to bring upstate and a small amount of cream cheese so I could have one fresh.. when I got back to my mothers house to make one, it was stale.. along with the other 17 I brought upstate. No matter what I do (microwave, lightly toast, briefly steam) they're hard as a rock. Definitely the last time I ever visit this place. If you can't have fresh bagels for your customers and sell the ones from the day before then don't have a sign that says "fresh bagels". read more

While the bagels at this place can be very good, the customer service is not always the best. I have had some bad experiences with some of the workers attitudes towards me. Yesterday when I called to order bagels, I was in a full car and it was a little loud, but my order was definitely interpretable. The woman answering my call took my order completely wrong, and when I realized and took the wrong food back in, they said " maybe I would've heard better if the wasn't so much noise going on". Now I know this might seem pretty harmless, but the tone used was very rude. I'm not trying to saying anything negative, just trying to improve the environment. read more

I've been going there for many years and it's more than just a bagel store. I feel like I am family when I'm there . Been there twice now for breakfast, fresh and delicious bagels, ordered an egg sandwich, came out fresh and perfectly prepared! Second time I was there, a gentleman behind the counter was particularly delightful, he greeted all customers, big smile, super helpful and polite, I didn't catch his name but he was so sweet to me, made me feel so good about myself! The place was packed on Sunday morning! People waiting for orders, people dining in, just for friendly place, pumping out great food for the locals. Last night, arriving at 7:30, there was only one table open. It was crazy busy with 2 birthdays being celebrated. My usual night to dine there is on Tuesday, no reason in particular, and it was nice to see, at first, that they have a person named Carmelo singing while playing the keyboard as entertainment! Will come back to this in a moment! The food is always great and consistent. On an especially busy night while I was there they didn't falter on service or food! The salad is fresh and they offer Thousand Island dressing, my favorite! I find that to be a rarity to have at an Italian restaurant but lucky me!! My baked ziti was an amazing blend of everything, the pasta cooked perfectly! Did I mention there are prepared entrees in a big refrigerator when you walk in that are practically free?? It's filled with a variety of ready made dishes including pasta, chicken, seafood and desserts! Everything is priced at $6.00! That is an over the top great deal on great food to me!! Ok, back to the live entertainment! Carmelo was very good! He sang Italian songs as well as popular ones! He even took a moment to sing Happy Birthday to the people celebrating that night which was very nice but....he was loud, a little too much!! The restaurant was noisy to begin with! A combination of the restaurant completely filled and the loud music and singing I couldn't hear my daughter, AT ALL! Instead of talking, we conversed via text the whole time we were there! Except for a few 5 minute breaks, this was extremely annoying to me but for some, this might be a good thing! The cheese was plentiful, and the sandwich wasn't overloaded with sauce. When I opened the bag and saw the hero, I was pleasantly surprised. At $13, it was a substantial sandwich and a good value. Many restaurants charge similar prices but skimp on the filling, leaving you with little more than a bread sandwich. On my first bite, I immediately noticed the tangy, acidic tomato sauce. While many people enjoy a bright, acidic sauce, it's not my personal preference. I also encountered a chewy bite, likely from the tendon that sometimes runs through a chicken tenderloin. It's the tough white cord-like strip that can occasionally make its way into a sandwich. Overall, I'd rate this sandwich an 8/10 for value but only a 5/10 for flavor. While the portion size and quality of the bread and chicken were impressive, the sauce wasn't to my liking. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

New Pizza and Bagel Place Just Opened. The Pizza is out of this world! I haven't found anyone around here with thin crispy crust like they have. The Sicilian pizza also has crispy crust, but a great flavor. You Have to check them out for their Pizza and Bagel Specials. Well worth the trip.
