After making an appointment at Best Buy for this to be done, I showed up to find that it would be a 2-3 hour wait. I'm not sure what the appointment did for me? I didn't have the time for this, so I left. It was then that I remembered Niles. Found that he had a storefront now, so I called about my battery replacement. They assured me it could be done. I asked how long it would take. They said about 10 minutes, unless it was busy, in which case it would take 20. Did I need to make an appointment? Not necessary, they said, just drop on by. Came in the next day. Super friendly and courteous, as I remembered, and they seemed a little busy, but I was assured it wouldn't take more than 20 minutes. They also coached me on some battery tips, and let me know to come right back if I encountered any problems. The cost was $9 more than Best Buy, but for the convenience, it was an easy decision. Was in and out in the promised 20 minutes. One thing: they are cash only. I never carry cash, so I had to run to an ATM.

When I arrived, the door was locked so I called the phone number in the window. The man who answered told me that someone would be there in 5 minutes. In less than 5 minutes, a gentleman arrived. He looked at my phone and rather than scamming me, he just peeled off a screen saver that I didn't even know was there to reveal a perfect screen! He charged me $10 for a new screen saver and voila, I had a like-new phone! He is my new friend! What a nice guy!

I went in and tried to explain my issues with my computer, and the guy just said "ok". And didn't have any customer service at all. He seemed like he didn't even want to have a conversation and had no care in the world for any issues you had. They said they would charge me 150-225 depending on what's wrong. I was okay with that. Then when I was getting my computer back, they said it was it was just a bios update and that he's just gonna "charge me 225 just to update the bios". So why am I being charged for something so simple? Again, I've been here before and never had any issues, I don't know what was wrong with them this time.

I hired Rick Wilson to complete the installation of my new MacBook Pro. The data from my old Mac…read morehad already been transferred from my old Mac. All that remained to be done was to connect the two monitors and update the software. Rick decided that it was necessary to reinstall the data from my old computer. He did this from the backup drive, which was not up to date. When that error was pointed out to him, the transfer had to be done again from the old computer. All of this redundancy took several hours, for which I was charged $550. Two days later, I discovered that my email program would neither send nor receive, and all of my email history was gone. I tried calling Rick Wilson twice to ask that he rectify the email program. He did not answer, so I left voicemails explaining the problem, but he never returned my calls. I also sent two text messages, which also were ignored. Now I have to find someone else to finish the work for which he was overpaid. The quality of work I received from Mac Services does not speak well for the professional competence of Rick Wilson. More importantly, failure to respond to calls and texts doesn't speak well from his ethics or integrity.

They refused to credit me for February, even though my service wasn't working AND THE TECHNICIAN NEVER SHOWED UP. Notice they have not received a good review in over a year! If you use this service, you can expect to be charged two months before your service, like being charged on February 5 for March service, even if you have canceled the account. Don't expect a response if you have a problem, I was told two days ago that the owner was going to call me. The woman who answers the phone just tells you "I just answer the phone," so don't expect help from her. When I moved…read moreback to the area 5 years ago, I was happy to see that they were still in business (and pretty much my only internet option, besides expensive satellite internet providers). What a total mess this turned into. The place is disorganized and a total joke. Their business hours are hit and miss. Their billing and A/R is so disorganized I have no idea how they stay in business. Our internet was shut off TWICE for lack of payment, however I had PAGES of email communication with them literally begging them to charge my credit card on file (and when I pointed this fact out to Mike (?) over the phone, his smug attitude quickly diminished). I've never seen a business run this way. Long story short, we switched to Ranch. Best decision ever.
