    When I finally got the home Internet, it worked well but everything else about the situation went…read moredownhill so much so that I switched to TMobile. First, the actual stores know nothing about what goes on with the rest of the company, esp any specials online. And be ready to wait forever. Secondly, if you only have home internet and not cell service with them, good luck! You can't even log on. The program does not allow you in and even customer service can't find you. Doesn't matter that they have my cell number and I registered it with them. I did not want to bundle. They will keep hassling you on that too. Third, keep track of the specials they offer like a free tv or PlayStation, they say it but you don't get it so easily. The wait is a full billing cycle and again the left hand knows nothing of what the right hand does. Been on the phone numerous times for long periods trying to resolve this and get my gift. Fourth, keep all receipts! So glad I kept my UPS return of the home Internet unit, they kept emailing they would charge me $200 and I kept calling to give them my documentation. They will not give me a confirmation of my call or status, until finally, I appealed to the supervisor by phone and insisted on some sort of email confirmation that they do indeed have my unit and will not be charged.

The experience that followed was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional encounters I've ever had with a service provider. When I arrived, a female employee told me they couldn't assist in-store and that I would have to call Verizon support directly. I called as instructed, provided my IMEI number, and followed their directions to turn the iPad off and back on. After doing so, the passcode--which I have never changed--suddenly stopped working. Even more concerning, the iPad did not lock me out after multiple failed attempts, which is highly unusual. The phone representative then transferred me without notice. The next person asked me to repeat everything I had already explained. After clarifying that the issue began after following the previous employee's instructions, I was placed on hold and transferred again--eventually to Apple, who were also unable to resolve the issue. I went back into the Verizon store, where one male employee told me not to sign in (which felt suspicious) and kept insisting that I had somehow locked myself out of my own device. He said he would call a manager, but after 25 minutes of waiting with no updates, I had to raise my voice to get any acknowledgment. When the Lead Manager finally came over, he was dismissive, condescending, and completely unhelpful. He repeatedly insisted that it was my fault, gaslighting me by saying there was "no way" Verizon could have caused the problem. To make matters worse, the staff refused to provide the name of the Store Manager when I asked for it to file a formal complaint. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. Verizon's customer service at this location is unprofessional, dismissive, and, in my opinion, demonstrates a pattern of gaslighting--particularly toward women of certain backgrounds. Verizon is a massive corporation, but that doesn't excuse the complete disregard for customer experience or the refusal to take responsibility for their actions. This store should be reviewed and investigated for its unethical customer service practices.

    On 04/13/25 Sunday at approximately 3PM I went into this Cricket store asking the only employee…read morethere, who was on the phone with s family member for some help. I explained that I had lost my password to my cell phone, as I never used it, yet somehow had locked myself out of my phone. He said right away that he couldn't help me before even looking at the phone, stating that it was impossible. The whole time in my speaking to him, he spoke on and off with his family member who was on speaker, talking back and forth to her. They spoke in Spanish, and though I understand all they were saying, he assumed I only in English, and paid more attention to his family drama than in helping me. He did look at my phone, turning it on and off, playing with it in acting as if he was attempting to do something with it. I asked about resetting the phone, he said "no" that that wasn't an option... meanwhile, he continuously held a conversation with his family. In the end, he said I'd have to buy a whole new phone... yet he never suggested or offered to show me any phones and said there was no way to reset my phone, he just kept saying I'd have to get a new phone. Seeing he was not going to be of any help to me, I thanked him and left. He immediately picked up his phone and carried on with his family drama. I then visited another Cricket store. There, the employee was helpful and assisted me with 100% of his full attention and when I told him about what this other employee at this Cricket store told me, he laughed and say "No", that that was wrong. He said that I could save my phone, and have it reset, that I didn't have to buy a new one. Also, he said he had negative reports from about this other Cricket store time and time again. I suggest you everyone reading this, to never shop or stop at this Cricket store, as the employees here have no idea of what they are doing, nor do they really care about assisting you. As this employee proved, he is just there for the money in not desiring to do his job, nor in having any interest in being of help or being bothered while handling family drama over the phone while on the clock.

    This location was once a reliable AT&T store. No longer. Parking lot litter-strewn and filthy…read more What was once landscaping is unkempt and overgrown . Only one employee on the floor at 4:20 Saturday afternoon with two groups waiting to be served. No greeting or request to sign in. After 20 minutes I had read enough of the handwriting on the wall to know I was never going to be waited on so I went to the Quarry Market location where I was promptly attended to. The manager there explained that the Austin Highway location is owned by a franchisee and is not a company owned store. That explains the disheveled appearance and the lack of competent sales people. I'm sorry I was required to add one star for this location because they don't deserve it.

Apparently several people work in the store but are, more often than not, doing whatever they do in the back and are not on the floor. More importantly though, be sure to check your bill to verify any changes made after visiting this location! When I came in to buy a new phone, the transaction went smoothly and the CSR was friendly. I left feeling positively about my purchase, but without my knowledge she added a $5/month "feature" to my account, one to which I did not consent and did not want. This is a criminal practice called "phone cramming," and it is sad to see this fraud still being practiced by AT&T customer service employees. I have made a complaint to AT&T and had the charge reversed, but it should never have happened in the first place, and who knows how many customers this employee has scammed. Be vigilant.
