Great services, accessories and people. The lady on duty was super sweet and helpful... Great style too! Unfortunately I'm bad with names after only one visit but can't thank her enough for her prompt help. I had an Amazon pickup and it was pretty smooth once I figured out what I was picking up... I was making a return right after down the street and mixed up my address. She told me about CellsFunds reclamation, recycling and repair services. They pay the max value allowed for unused and old electronics and do a lot of work with non profit... What a great way to find out about a local service provider in my area. She also made a Sci-Fi tv show The Magicians reference to my name Quintin aka Quentin (the character), which I've gotten a few times and made my day because it was guilty pleasure comfort to binge during 2020 and more so 2021. CellFunds has a great website and is located on the 2nd floor in the shopping center behind US Bank on the corner of Ventura and Van Nuys Blvds. Unfortunately the elevators are temporarily out of service, but suite 108 is always happy to be at yours.

TMobile told me that my broken i phone 14 pro max wasn't fixable and my only choice was to spent $300 for the insurance I already had. Not only did CellFunds buy the broken phone from me (for parts), they also sold me a used but perfect condition replacement for a truly fair price. David and Christina are the BEST. They took time out of their day and helped me while i was in a jam. I love them forever! read more

I lost my phone last night and found Cellfunns on offer up. The place was hard to find. They are located upstairs in the same shopping plaza as Kia cuckoo. Very good value. Got my iPhone screen fixed with a nice discount by trading in an old iPhone 7. Some days they can turn around repairs quicker than others, but otherwise a great deal compared to the fixit places at the mall. read more

I gave them my phone to fix the back screen that was cracked. I got my phone back with a much lower quality camera that does not focus!!!!!! There was nothing wrong with my camera before I gave it to them! They did not take responsibility for about an hour, until they finally admitted they made a mistake and should have told me this could happen. Rather than finding a solution at no cost to me, they want to charge me more money for a new camera. I'm in shock by this place and how much they ruined my phone!!!!!!!!! I'm so frustrated and angry. read more

Gave 2 stars because it's a cool place to take your phone real people that work hard but it was just the warranty that got me. I fixed with them 6/24/22 brought the phone back in 7/10/22 because the screen messed up, glitch and some partial lines in the screen. they said it was because of being in my pocket and pressure of me sitting on it. But I only weigh 120lbs so I laughed and I just wish the warranty said more then what it states idk I'm big on warranty's so I felt this needs attention. They offered to fix it for cheaper then last time, but if you can offer that, why not just stick with your warranty claims... could of had a long time happy customer with a 5plus yelp guys . But thanks for being so nice about it. read more

Easy Money! Showed up on a Saturday afternoon with a dead phone and no appointment. Danny charged the phone and made me a great offer. Fifteen minutes later, I was back on the road with cash in my pocket. The store is clean with plenty of parking. I had some other e-waste they offered to recycle for me since it was not what they normally buy. He even called another business to try and get me more money for a dead computer. As an environmentalist, I believe in buying used cell phones in order to get the most use out of them. When my old iPhone 6S had water damage and died, I visited Cell Funds. Christina at the front desk was super helpful and I bought a used iPhone 7 for a very fair price. It had a 30-day guarantee and I had a problem with the phone literally on the 30th day, right as I was leaving the country. Because I called it in by the 30th day, even though I was then gone for a few months, they honored the warranty. When I came back, they replaced the iPhone 7 with another, no questions asked. Then a year later, I dropped my iPhone 7 and damaged it beyond repair and they sold me a new one for another very fair price. In each occasion when I needed to restore my saved data when moving from one phone to another, Christina helped me in the office go through all the steps and get it done before I left their premises, so that I was confident it would work and I had no stress. These people have a great selection, their prices are fair, reusing old products is good for the environment and their customer service and friendliness is exactly what you would hope for. I will continue to give them my business in confidence that they will do right by me on all levels. read more

I went to Cell Funds yesterday to sell my iPhone XR I had sitting around my house and was immediately impressed with the service at the door. Store is clean and organized with a nice selection of phone cases and accessories. I was informed I could get more money by calling Tmobile and unlocking my paid off phone so I did. They also buy phones that are not paid off fyi. I got top dollar for my credit now I am going back to sell my 13 iPhone I no longer need which they also offered to purchase. Instead, they simply opened the phone, looked at it, and then couldn't even put it back together properly. To make matters worse, they lost the antenna. After that experience, I started searching for real professionals who specialize in micro-soldering. One of the technicians I spoke with recommended Lay Tech Repairs in Tarzana. That turned out to be the right decision. When I arrived, I handed them the phone and explained the entire situation. They inspected the device and said they would try to repair it. Several other repair shops had already told me that the motherboard was damaged and that the only solution would be to replace the entire board, which would have meant losing all the data. Instead, these technicians were able to reconnect the damaged components and repair the board itself. They fixed parts that other technicians had said were impossible to repair. They took on the repair and completed it the same day. The repair wasn't cheap, of course, but I received the phone back that very day. Since Tarzana is quite far from Santa Monica, I asked them to send the phone to me with Uber, and they arranged it without any problem. I'm truly grateful and confident that they are real professionals who can handle complex repairs that many other shops in Los Angeles refuse to even attempt. Technicians like this are rare, even in a city as large as Los Angeles.

Wow, am I happy I did!. When I searched places near me, Groupon popped up with this place. I called first to make sure they could take me right away, after all it had been close to 18 hours without a phone. LOL. They answered the phone promptly and when I told them the issue, they reassured me they could help. When I got there and he looked at my phone he explained that when I dropped it (the 3rd time) I broke the LED thingy. It made sense, since it never went black before like this time. Anyway, I trusted him and had him replace the screen and the LED thingy for not much more. OMGOODNESS it is like I have a brand new phone. (It's 4 years old). It looked beautiful with the new glass and something I didn't expect, the response time of the screen was incredible. I never knew the LED thingy had anything to do with response and loading. Prior to this, I used to wait what seemed like FOREVER, for my phone to load. Now it loads in seconds. I was so blown away! If I would have known that I could have replaced that for the load time alone a long time ago. Dillion, was super fast, professional and fair. He also pointed out the price differences between repairing iPhone vs. Galaxy phones. Not to mention, I got a 30 day warranty too! "Wow, I'm in love" pretty much sums up my experience with Cell Funds. Before landing here, I traveled around West Hollywood (where I live) and NoHo in search of the simplest and cheapest Verizon phone but no one carried Verizon phones that weren't prepaid and the ones that did were way overpriced. My brother suggested a place near his house in NoHo where he bought a Verizon phone for $30, called "High Tech Wireless," and it was the first place on my list. The owner did carry Verizon phones but he was trying to sell me a LG flip phone for $80 (marked down from $100 according to him). After being disappointed by more than three shops, I finally visited Cell Funds. I walked in and I was immediately helped by John. I told him I was in need of a cheap replacement phone and he came back out with 4 phones to choose from, all under $25. One of the phones was an LG flip phone, the same exact one High Tech was trying to sell me for 4x the price. It was the exact phone I was looking for and the exact price I was comfortable with. I came in with a negative outlook and left with a cell phone, charger, and a huge smile on my face. Don't do what I did and go store to store. Save your time and just go straight to Cell Funds. I needed a new iPhone because my old iphone 5 was tired. I didn't want to pay 600 or 700 bucks for a new phone so I checked Craigslist. I saw the Cell Funds ad for an iPhone 6S at a very reasonable price - with a 2 week guarantee. I am somewhat leery of Craigslist deals but I went to their shop in Sherman Oaks. They had a selection of iPhones and the one I got was like new and has been working like new for over a month now. And they said they might buy my old iPhone 5 - so I went home and brought back all the old unused iphones from my family - about 8 phones going back to the iphone 3. I had been planning to take them back to an Apple store for recycling but Cell Funds bought the iphone 4's and 5's and I gave them the older phones for recycling. It wasn't huge bucks but it was way better than dumping them in the trash or dropping them at Apple to be recycled for zero bucks. These guys are honest and they stand behind their work. read more

WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! They are rude humans who do not know the first thing about cell phones or customer service. They were supposed to fix my cracked screen on back of the phone, and they returned me my phone with a camera that would not focus. It took them 2 hours to finally admit they messed up my phone. They wouldn't even give me a refund for this mistake they made!! I had to go buy an entire new phone because to get a new camera was almost the cost of a new phone. These guys rock! This was my 4th experience with Cell Funds in a 3 year timeperiod, and, again, I was most satisfied. There was minor issue with my iphone, where the speaker function on whatsapp did not work and a technician got it fixed while I waited (only 10mins!). Also, their prices are very, very reasonable and everybody is really friendly and professional. The shop to go for excellent reconditioned unlocked 3G phones for the elderly. Fairly priced and with a well stocked inventory. When I came to the store the seller advised me to buy IPhone se ( I want rose gold ). So... I bought it. I thought that the phone could break or the phones would be damaged. I work up the street from here. Googled to see where I can sell my old phones. They poped up so took the drive down there. I sold my old galaxy and got paid top dollar in cash. I did prior research and they had everyone beat by around $20. The whole process was fast and they also repair phones so I'll probably go back to get my wife's phone repaired. I got an iPhone 5s 32gb from here for 100 bucks, with a free charger. I got a case and a protective screen for it too, and both only cost 10 bucks. All together, out the door, it cost me 120 bucks.
