Stopped by this kiosk in Gurnee Mills mall tonight to ask how much it would be to replace the screen on my fiancee's Samsung Galaxy S5. When my family and I walked up, the girl 'working' the counter was busy on a personal call on her cell phone. After a minute or so she told the person on the phone to hold on and she put her phone down then asked if she could help me. I tell her I wanted to see how much it would be to get the screen on a Galaxy S5 fixed and she mumbled what I thought was $25. I say, $25? Uhhh ok! And it the rudest way possible she replies that she said $200. While my initial response would have involved my foot and her ass, I informed her that she was speaking very quietly and I didn't hear her when she said $200. Either way, it's cheaper to pay my deductible with my cell provider's insurance coverage so no loss for me to not give them any business. Maybe the people running this kiosk should hire someone who's actually happy to have a job and isn't upset her personal phone calls during work hours are interrupted. Wish I could give this place a lower rating and urge people not to waste their time or money at this place. I bought a shitty samsung verizon phone as a replacement for my samsung intensity that fell into lake michigan cuz my friend faked me out shakin me and whatnot. When I bought the phone I didn't realize there were no returns, and the phone is so old that the verizon backup assistant couldn't backup my contacts. They were kinda shitty to me on the phone. They have cheap iphones there but will not shop again. there are better options on EBAY!!!! read more

I brought my iPhone 8 in and they lost it, they told me they could fix the cracked screen and to come back in an hour and a half, they gave me a receipt and I left, I came back an hour and fifteen minutes later and they told me to wait while they get my phone. About ten minutes later no one said anything so I asked for my phone back, the lady asked for my receipt and I gave it her it, she went to talk to the other employees and then told me that there was no history of that receipt in there system and they don't have my phone, I asked them to check again and strongly told them that I had dropped my phone off to be fixed about two hours ago, she went to talk to the other employees, then about five minutes later an Indian man came over and asked to hear the situation, I explained everything and he told me to wait, then he came back and told me that I hadn't dropped off a phone and if I don't stop wasting the employees time, they will call security, I told them to look of the security cameras to prove I was there, right when I finished talking, a large black security guard asked what I was doing so I explained everything, they told me that I had been requested to leave ten minutes ago and if I didn't let the Gaurd escort me out, they will call the police. In the end they stole my iPhone 8 and blamed me for causing a disruption, the security and employees here are organized criminals just trying to take more money from you, iv contacted the Simon malls (the company that owns Gurnee mills) and complained to them but all they did was send me ads and try to get me to sign up for a membership. I came from six flags great america with a broken and water damaged phone to Gurnee mills mall with hopes of getting it repaired. I went to several repair places but the workers were really rude and could not help me. On my way out after losing hope, I noticed Cellagain. I explained to them my situation and they helped me right away. I am not big on writing reviews but I had such an amazing experience that I just had to go on here and let people know how great the ladies at Cellgain are. They are really good and knowledgeable at what they do. They fixed my phone within an hour. That is a big deal for a busy Sunday. read more

Went in to get a shattered phone screen replaced. Was told that there was a 3 month warranty on pixelation and touch. Started experiencing problems with the touch screen as soon as I returned home. Finally found time to go back to the mall one week later (well within the 90 warranty) and was told that they would not honor it as the screen appeared to be coming out on the side. THEY INSTALLED THE SCREEN! It was improperly installed and now they will not honor the warranty. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS KIOSK!!! read more

Steer clear of this place!!! My son broke his iphone 5S screen. He brought it to them to have the screen replaced. They told him it would cost $100. When the girl took off his screen to replace it, and tried to put the new one on, she did something and the phone stopped working altogether. His phone worked perfectly well for weeks with a cracked screen. She started to say "It's nothing I did wrong, this just happens sometimes" We were then told that they would need to send his phone out to one of their repair shops to be fixed. This was on October 29th. The phone was due back on the 7th of Nov. He was given a loaner phone in the meantime. When we called to get the phone back we were given a HUGH RUNAROUND! 1st my son was told that it wasn't back yet, but was on the final stage of being shipped back to them. I called the next day for it and was put on hold for a very long time while the girl working said she needed to contact the store owner to find out what's going on with it. I was then told that their repair shop couldn't fix it & it's being sent to a school called Gadget tech to do the work. It was due back the following Friday, Nov. 20th. It's now the 23rd and no phone call from them!!! It's been nearly a month! At this point, the cost of shipping the phone back & forth, plus the cost of the man hours to fix the phone most likely adds up more than just simply replacing it. This seems to be a very shady operation where they are figuring things out as they go along, or just don't care at all !!! read more
