The outside of the place is very unassuming but it's nicer inside and it smells good. I scheduled an appointment with Tina because I read good reviews about her but I ended up being with Trinh. I asked Trinh to be careful with my cuticles because they bleed easily and she was very gentle and sweet about it. They had me pay and tip with venmo but there may have been other options as well. My first manicure was a perfect 5 stars it last 3 whole weeks so perfectly that I painted over them The second dip manicure lasted only 3 days because it chipped and cracked immediately It didn't even make it to the weekend when I had to film videos for work. This is what happened: He touched the top coat while it was wet, used acetone to remove just the top layer, and then reapplied. I have always had the staff at Celine go above & beyond for me! I have consistently been going here for the past 3+ months and am always satisfied with the dip service I get. I came in today to get my dip nails taken off as one of my nails had broken (my own fault) and exposed my nail bed causing lots of pain/discomfort. Tina, the owner, came over and asked me what happened and told me she could fix the broken nail. Not only did she glue it back together and temporarily fix it until my nail can grow back, but she also gave me gel nails free of charge so my nails would still look pretty while I waited for my broken nail to grow back. No one cares about their clients more, I'll always give Celine my service! read more

Went home in tears and had to get them redone the next day. #naildrama" Seriously though, if we are paying $40 for our nails to look good, they should look good. Point blank. I want clean French lines, no smudges and consistency in shape. Seems fair, right? What I got was not this, plus I was not asked what length, shape or top coat I wanted. To make it worse, the technician was so sweet, I didn't have the courage to say something after it was done! (my fault completely). I was hesitant to go to the salon in the first place given the mixed reviews and I fully regret the decision to go, because the quality was so poor I had to get them done by another salon the next day. Now there are a few bright spots ... they had a bowl of Lifesaver mints, they were not busy, they had HGTV on, they were nice and complimentary (too much so as they were trying to cover up for their lack of technique) and they used sterilized tools. The WORST nail experience I have ever had. I wish I could give 0 stars. I decided to try a new nail salon vs. goingt to my original salon due to recent changes and I highly regret that decision. I saw all the great reviews about Tina and was looking forward to having her do my nails. Sadly, I was highly disappointed. First off, when I arrive for my appointment, another lady starts doing my nails. I didn't get her name, but she was wearing glasses. I knew it wasn't Tina as the other lady asked me if I had an appointment with her. No prep or soaking of the hands to soften the skin was done. She aggressively started pulling each of my fingers towards her to clip off any excess skin around my nails. She was moving so quickly that it was difficult for me to relax and her attention to detail was terrible. After she completed the dipped coats on my fingers and started to file down the color, some of the color starts to already come off. It was so sloppy. Meanwhile, she's using her thumb with a fake nail on it to clear any excess color around my nails. Even though she thought she was trying to make my nails look organized, she was literally digging around my nail which caused some pain. Midway through the filing down of the color on my nails is when Tina then takes over my nail appointment. I was hoping now that she took over, the experience would improve. It didn't. The color was still coming off and she attempted to put more dipping powder on a couple nails. As she was starting to file down my nails to smooth them out, I kindly told her I like my nails to be more squared shape. She just looked at me and then started speaking to the other lady who was doing my nails prior. I could tell they were talking about me as the other lady informed me they can't shape my nails because they're too short. I've never had this issue and/or comments stated about my nails at prior salons I've gone to. I noticed more color coming off my nails and double checked with Tina if it looks like more color needs to be added and she just shook her head and said "no" as it seemed she was rushing to get done with my appointment. She then started to clip the skin away from behind my nails due to the dipped color that collected underneath, which also caused mild discomfort. This could have been resolved with using a small brush dipped in acetone vs. clipping away yet more of my skin. As Tina was putting the final coat on the dipped nails, she didn't let one of my hands dry fully before putting lotion on it. I left with sticky fingers with the color not being fully set and smudged. Yes, I could have told her to fix that too, but I was so pissed that I just wanted to get out of there. The only reason I stayed through the entirety of this appointment was because I had an event the next day. Otherwise, I definitely would have left as soon as the issues started. I might as well had thought because I had to fix my nails as soon as I got home. I advise you to not waste your money here. read more

I rarely get my nails done and when I do, I'm pretty low-maintenance. I generally will just get a gel polish change. I called Cupid to see what the cost was for just the gel polish change and for $20 I thought why not. Well this is why not. After 3 days the gel began to peel up at the bottom of my nail. 3. Days. Gel is supposed to last 2 weeks and I've never had a manicure peel at all. I won't ever be returning here and you should stay away as well. read more

Another hole in the wall strip mall strikes again. I had over an hour to kill before a meeting and I spotted this place. I had a really great pedicure. She paid a lot of attention to my heels and other calloused spots. They put plastic in the foot bath first. They have the vibrating chair bit this one needs to be fixed or replaced. Trying to relax with a book is hard with a grinding noise going on. But I was so content with how good my feet were feeling and the great aroma to match, I let bygones be gone. I had a pedicure and gel manicure. The lady that did my gel polish took her time and turned out good although they are pretty thick. I had asked for a design and the guy that painted my toes did not know how to draw. He had the owner do it instead. It's the worst drawing that I have ever seen. This has to be one of the cleanest places that I have ever seen for a nail salon. They keep all tools in steralized packets untill you sit down and then they open them in front of you. You can keep a box here & cleaning supplies and directions are everywhere!!! You can be sure that when you walk out of here you have nothing to worry about! A bit hidden - they are located beind the doubletree in St. Louis Park off 394. Everyone was very friendly and kind - the nail stylist was very nice and listened to what I wanted and made sure that she was doing a "good job". This is one of the best! read more

I'm not a person who gets her nails done. Ever. I think I got a manicure once. I do a shoddy job of painting my nails and it usually looks like a 5 year old grabbed some paint and went to town. I've been noticing a lot of nice manicured hands lately from friends and girls I'm in a dance company with, so I thought that I should give it a shot. The ladies that were here on this particular day (Sunday) were adorable and sweet. There were just a couple other people there, and I just walked in which I love being able to do. Lana did my nails and she did a fabulous job. I just got a manicure with french tips but did the gel polish as she recommended because it lasts longer. I'd heard that it was a better quality polish so I figured what the heck, might as well go all out of I'm going to be girly. I really love them. They look classy and clean and womanly. I am shocked that they are my hands! The gel polishes are a little more expensive... $30.00 for a regular polish and $35.00 for french tips. A manicure with the normal polish is only $19.00, so I'll definitely be back if I need something for just a special occasion type of deal. Like I said, this place is so cute, the staff are very kind and they do a great job! Best part is, they have a clean set tools for EVERY customer. They come in their own sealed bag. I love that I'm not getting my cuticles ripped off from a tool that someone else just had theirs ripped off on. I highly recommend it here. I'll be getting pedicures here from now on as well. This is your typical Asian-owned mom and pop nail salon with an owner plus 2 nail stylists - all three of them are usually there. Appointments can be made, but walk-ins are available with minimal wait time. I've always just stopped in after work. It is slightly hard to find - Located in the building complex behind the Doubletree hotel. If you take exit 5 off I-394, take a right at light by the Costo entrance. Tip: If you shop at Rainbow, check the back of the receipt for a coupon to here - I've been able to get $3 off my Gel nails! read more

Last week I looked down & shrieked with horror. My feet were looking janky so I decided to hop on Yelp & find the closest nail salon to me at that very moment. Two salons appeared but I picked Cupid Nails because "Cupid Shuffle" would be in my head regardless at that point, so it seemed to make sense to just go there. I went around 7p & there were 4 nail technicians working on a group of girls. After I picked out my color, my chair was ready to start soaking. Hong did my pedicure & was the most thorough technician I've ever had. She took her time & scrubbed my feet with TWO different pumice stones! Everything turned out beautiful & I was very pleased. I happened to have a receipt from Rainbow (thanks Liuyin S. for the heads up!), so I saved $4 off my pedicure (regularly $27). What a steal! I will definitely be back. While it is not the fanciest salon I've been to, everyone was so sweet & the price is nearly unbeatable. read more

Damn. I am SOOOOO glad I found this place! I was in town for business and was in dire need to get my nails done before i headed into some client meetings. I went in on a Wednesday night at 5. I had no where to be, and I'm glad I didn't because that was the best two hours ever. I had a gel mani and regular pedi. She was so thorough, incredibly friendly, and spent a lot of time on the massage. YES! She did a great job on my nails and again.. spent a lot of time massaging my hands. YES! Yelp let me down. The manicure here was bad and the technician clearly not trained at all. I had to remind her of the steps in a manicure, and trimming my cuticles she drew so much blood we had to time out and put a paper towel on it until the bleeding stopped. She was embarrassed. Nails lasted only a few days before chipping. It wasn't worth the cheaper cost. I feel bad giving a shitty review when I know it's awful, thankless work for low wages, and I wish the whole nail salon thing was better for everyone involved. read more
