I have driven by this place a few times and became curious about it because the name seemed a little random and it never looked busy---so I decided to read the yelp reviews. The reviews looked good enough for us to stop in. The food was good. We got a philly and a burger with a side of fries and all of it was delicious. The burger was really juicy and the cheesesteak was overflowing with meat. They don't ask for a tempurate on the burger, they just cook it all the way through, so I was suprised it was still so good since I'm a medium rare gal. Sadly, they no longer offer milkshakes...which is something i always crave when I'm in a little diner/cafe kind of place. We were also there towards the end of the night and the owner or manager was mopping literally right next to our table which was slightly annoying. Those were the only negatives. Had a Cajun Burger for lunch today. It was fabulous! Very reasonably priced too. Already looking forward to my next one!

Excellent Philly and fries. Both the Cajun and classic are great. Price is even better. Pretty standard hometown dive otherwise.

My husband and I go on lunch dates here. I love local hole-in-the-wall places, and this is definitely one. The food is always good (greasy in this instance = good) and it's so fun to have your order name a celebrity's name! I'm giving a 4 star review for potential. I will say that the cheesesteaks are very dry, well portioned, but very dry. Put the cheese on top of the while on the flat top. Just a thought. The Cajun chicken salad, the chicken was good the romaine lettuce wasn't. (It had a couple hairs in it also). With that being said, small business with great potential. Great concept, nice staff, clean kitchen, clean foh, clean bathrooms. Really cool place to eat. Get some cheese wiz and show these Gardner folk a real philly. Great potential. People don't know what it takes running a small business like this so keep at it you're headed in the right direction. Will be back! read more

Small chain in Gardener/Olathe. I have been here quite often. My problem is the food is not consistent. One week it is too seasoned/salty. The next none at all. Prices are ok and what you would expect from a sandwich shop. Burgers are not great. Taste like frozen patties pre charred then heated up after you order. Fries are really good here and plentiful. I have had some 4 star experiences here, and some 2 star ones.. so averaged it out. read more

Not the greatest cheesesteak I've ever had but not the worse. I ordered the Italian version so I'm thinking that may have had something to do with not begin great. The meat was a little dry as well. I think the fries would have been great if they would have been made to order. I got the lukewarm, been sitting in the basket, leftover fries. I think the only reason I would come back is if I were in a hurry. The food did come out fairly quick, but that would explain the old fries! Price ended up around $10 for a half sandwich, fries, and a drink. read more

Ordered carry out April 9, 2019 5:30 PM. I ordered the sandwich "Star of the Show" and a "Chicken Ceasar Salad". I will choose my words carefully. Gross, Nasty, Really bad. I threw the salad out and tried to eat the sandwich. The green peppers and onions were simply mush. Hard to distinguish in the meat. Nothing looked fresh at all. Absolutely terrible. For a local shop the food is good. It's a little pricey. Service is ok also. The teenagers the work there need a lesson in customer service. Kids like the food and ask to go there. Their signature sandwich is a variation on the phlliy cheesesteak. My wife seemed to like it. I had a mushroom swiss burger that was tasty. Not impressed with this place. Our family has tried it 3 times. All 3 times we did take out. The food on the first visit was not bad. The other two times the steak was dry and over seasoned. Items ordered were left out and did not realize till we got home. Final visit we received spoiled salad dressing. Each time we were in there the place smelled like they had a broken sewer pipe. The workers were not friendly at all, not even a smile from them. I am all about second chances but we have given 3 so needless to say we won't be going back. read more

I've gone several times, but my last experience was a joke. I was calling in an order for 2 meals and left on hold for a little over 8 minutes. When an employee finally came back to the phone, I was asked why I was calling. I asked if they planned on taking my order. The employee begins to tell me they are extremely busy. Wow: 8 minutes on hold, and not even a sorry. What I heard, is the company doesn't want my money. What irritates me, is they have enough time to prank call me afterwards. Let me preface by saying that I am from the Philadelphia area and like my cheese steaks. Since moving here a year ago I have been on the hunt for something close. Everyone seems to advertise their "Philly" but no one really knows how to make it (Swiss cheese on a cheese steak?!). Which brings me to Celebrity's. My husband suggested stopping here tonight bc he wanted a CHEESE STEAK and thought their rendition of it sounded promising. If I had to rate the sandwich based on the way they typically made it, it may have been a 4 at best. BUT the owner gladly went with my request of American cheese and mixed it in with the meat. Delicious! There are of course differences from the way they are back home, most notably the bread. I guess soft bread is a Midwest thing as the owner put it. What makes my rating a five is the owners willingness to alter the sandwich for me and chatting with him after we ate, when we revealed where we were from. He passed the test. This is by far the closest we have come to our beloved cheese steak. And yes, we will be back, I even have a feeling that I won't have to tell him how I want it. read more

My husband and I live close to Celebrities and it is our Go-To palce when we go to the movies and want speedy service & good food. Their Celebrities burger is my favorite restaurant burger - it's tender, well cooked and comes with lettuce, tomato and whatever condiments you chose. We both like the Philly steak sandwich which is also very tender. I like mine without onions/ green peppers & and my husband gets his without green peppers; it is loaded with meat, mushrooms along with the right amount of cheese. This sandwich is one of our favorites. The "Leading Lady" (their chicken sandwich) is quite nice too. I did get the au jus once and I do understand what the other customer was saying about the bun being a little soggy, but the meat and au jus were really good so I didn't really mind it and you could always ask for them to toast the bun a little. What I like most is the convenience, the service, having my sandwich made to order, the crispy fries, the fresh brewed ice tea, & the abiance. Let's just say there's a lot to like about this restaurant! read more
