Their bulbs are so old!! You hardly get any result!!! I've tried all of them in the East Valley, and none of them have bulbs newer than 3 months. The staff is friendly and assure me the bulbs are less than 4 months! old!!!!. read more

This is a great place to tan. I see results after one 10 minute session. I don't use any accelerators or bronzing lotions . First time at this location. The girls working were polite and nice. Once the bed turned on you could tell it hasn't been maintained very well. Cracks in the acrylic. Dirt and dust under the acrylic. I'm not sure if all the beds are like this. I will continue to come to this location as well as it's convenient. The best tanning salon I've ever been to. It's beautiful inside. I honestly get super nervous about tanning but the girl working was so knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I tried out the new bed and let's just say... I'M HOOKED! I got so tan! The brunette girl working recommended to use the Black Rose lotion and I LOVED it! It smelt so good and gave me amazing color! The bed was super customizable. I can choose my own settings of low, medium, or high rays. I can also choose aroma, air conditioning, facial tanners, and misters! Super cool! She also mentioned it had red light therapy. I don't know exactly how it works so I'll definitely do some more research, but apparently it helps with acne and scarring! All in all, amazing salon! I bought a Groupon for this place, but was charged $8 because apparently the Groupon didn't come with color The girl hardly talked to me, walked me back to the room and told me to go in. That's the only direction she gave me. I wasn't directed on how to stand, what to do, or what to expect. Because of this, I stood wrong and my tan turned out AWFUL. The girl didn't tell me how long to wait to shower or anything when I got out. She didn't even look up to say goodbye. WORST SERVICE. WORST TAN. DO NOT GO HERE **UPDATE** I emailed the manager that commented below and she replied back, offering to give me a free spray tan that I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO GET THE COLOR FOR. I have worked at tanning salons for the past year and a half, and I'm pretty disappointed in Celebrity. I went in for a spray tan and had a coupon for $15 for new customers. I ended up paying $20 because apparently if you use a darker color it cost more. It also cost to buy the sticky feet. They really charge you for every little thing. I won't be back. Update: I got ZERO color from my spray tan! I'm highly irritated at this place!! read more

I went to Celebrity Tanning after buying a Living Social deal for two Spray Tans. I walked in the front desk brunette ask what color I wanted (Light, Medium or Dark) I said Dark and she said that will be $7 dollars... Me: OK why? She tells me the deal is for Light and the Medium is $5 and the Dark is $7... can anyone tell me why that makes since? I would have walked out but it was my birthday THAT DAY so I needed the tan for my party :). She continued to go over EVERY other option with more upgrades and I declined. SO I paid my $7.91 and went in the room. She explained how to use the booth and left. I got undressed and what do you know... the lotion was almost completely gone. I got out what i could but it left my feet and palms completely orange when it was all done. THANKS! I got home and looked at my Living Social deal and NO WHERE on the deal does it say they charge you for Medium of Dark tan. I called Living Social and still a week later they are trying to get Celebrity Tanning to work something out with them. I have another tan to use but I would never go back to this company again.. Dishonest with pricing, and not clean. I have been to many tanning salons and this was the worst experience I have ever had with tanning. Multiple sales representatives that work at the front desk when you walk in promised to cancel my membership twice, then I got charged again. When confronting the business about the unauthorized transactions I was told I have to come in person to cancel. I explained I have moved out of the area and cannot come in to cancel. The front desk girl said she cannot help me and needs to have a manager call me back. Two hours later I get a call from this location's manager, Maddie. I was told I must pay a fee today to stop being charged or else I will be charged tomorrow for another month. The manager, Maddie, is unprofessional. Maddie was sassy and demanding that I pay again right that moment or else I will continue being charged. I would never give this business my money again. This store is the reason I made a Yelp account today. I've never been in a tanning bed and was very nervous at first. The girls answered all of my questions from "will I burn" to "will my contacts melt to my eyes".. THEY ARE SO FRIENDLY!!! Its crazy I go and am out of that shop in ten minutes and they still manage to make my day every visit. Let me start by saying that the girls here are great! Very very nice. Most seem knowledgeable about their products and beds. My only complaint is that the salon is not very clean. And I've been to two different celebrity tanning salons so far(both the same) I've also worked in tanning salons for over 6 years and I can tell you I religiously all day would clean, sweep, mop, scrub whatever needed to be done to make sure that the customers were happy and the salon was sanitary. When people tan and use lotion, they touch buttons, walls, the tops of the beds, not just lay on the bottom half. I don't know if any of them know you are supposed to clean the whole bed, in and out, top and bottom every time someone tans. Every time I go into tan I clean the bed myself with my towel because I'm afraid of what I may be laying on. I pay for the VIP package and I can say I don't feel very important going into dirty rooms. Customers can get rashes and other skin irritations for not cleaning properly. With that being said I love the salon, I just feel sanitary is a must in this industry. read more

Very first impression I got was that this place is decent for the price. The ladies are nice and all, customer service isnt lacking. But I have to say, the first thing I always notice about any tanning salon that matters THE MOST is the cleanliness...and this location is definitely lacking in the sanitation department. I worked in a salon right out of high school and even then I knew the potential dangers of an unsanitary tanning bed. Skin cells are collected with all the dust at the foot and the edges of their beds and two times there have been dead gnats on the inside of the bed. This place needs more inspections or at least management could be on top of it. I have never been so disgusted by an unsanitary tanning environment. Cuz quite frankly I've never seen one this bad. The rugs are sticky, where you go to pull the bed top down is sticky and the dust accumulation and residue is repulsive. The only halfway clean part of the entire room is the part you're supposed to lay on. I'm not sure how long this location has been like this since I've only been there a couple times in the last couple of weeks, but I cant believe only one other person has said the same thing on here. It has potential to be a great place but until they can learn how to clean, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more
