The folks at Starr worked with us and allowed us to take many samples home on several occasions. But the best part of this review is the customer service that we received from Starr. The installers were amazing and very courteous. Also, we had a complication with our install that had nothing to do with Starr and yet they were very willing to work with us to fix the issue. That is what I call amazing customer service!!! I would not hesitate to recommend Starr to anyone in the market to purchase carpet.

Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. I thought because of their local presence and high…read moreprices that they would be the very best company to deal with. Due to my husband's disabilities I was unable to bring the two rugs back home after their cleaning and repair which costs over $1000. I decided to donate the rugs to a local non-profit. Bedrosian offered me no assistance with my predicament. In the interim a I paid for their service plus their ongoing charges for storage. When picked up by the non profit my bank account was hit for charges I didn't know about. No one from Bedrosian called to give me a heads-up and after numerous calls no one has called me back to explain why I owed these charges since all the invoices in my possession say no balance was due. I would never go back to them.

The rugs are wearing…read morehorribly...the knots are pulling in a manner that exceeds anything we have ever seen...there are numerous pieces of yarn stemming out from the rugs and other frizzy bits and pieces we can't identify. We have owned many rugs over the years, and never experienced rugs wearing like this. It is clear that the Bedrosian rugs are "defective." Given that we worked with Bedrosian in the past, we trusted them to sell us quality rugs. We looked at the receipts for the rugs to determine information regarding content, care & origin to discover there is no such information outlined. We had our decorator look at the rugs. She surmised that the rugs are poor quality. She stated that in all the years she has worked as a designer, she has never seen such poor quality rugs for the price. 2 of the rugs we purchased are still wrapped in Bedrosian's original wrapping. We do not plan on using them based on our experience with the 3 rugs that were installed. We have requested Bedrosian take back the 2 unused rugs & refund us. We have not heard back. One needs to be extremely concerned about the quality of rugs when purchasing from Bedrosian. We feel that we have been taken advantage of in a big way.

So when I realized that a few more recent rugs (bought in Turkey about 20 years ago) needed cleaning and some light repairs, of course I brought them to Nazmiyal. As was the case earlier, both rugs were cleaned up and repaired beautifully. The people here are friendly, respectful, and highly competent - and they know more about rugs than anyone else I've met anywhere. My apartment is not large and I don't have room for any more rugs - but when the rug I bought in India a few years ago needs cleaning (sometime in the 2040s is what I'm guessing), I'll bring it here. And if I ever move to a larger place, I'll be coming to Nazmiyal to maybe pick up a few more rugs. They've got a huge collection.
