If I could give Tony Zambrana more stars, I totally would! My husband (a new label that I am still not used to) and I met Tony & his lovely wife (Tony does mostly MC but can also do a little bit of the DJ, however, his talented wife does the DJ) at a bridal show in Orange County back in 2010. He was very friendly and very passionate about what he does. You could tell that he was genuine and not just trying to make a sale. Anyways, flash forward to 2011 when my husband and I decided to hire him for our wedding. Even though we had never heard of Tony or his company or known any friends that have had him at their events before, we really just wanted to hire him because he gave us that warm and friendly vibe. We knew he would do the job right. Also, what makes Tony stand out from a lot of other DJs is that he does games/ activities and leads people in group dancing to really get your guests off their seats and grooving to the music, which is what we wanted. We really wanted to make sure that our guests were actually dancing at our reception and enjoying their time. (And that's what our guests did at our wedding) Tony was very responsive to all of my emails and phone calls. He met us when it was convenient for our schedules and also came by our venue to check out the location, since he had never done an event there before. He made sure that we put together a good timeline for our wedding and was open to ideas. During and immediately after our wedding, we had friends and family overwhelmingly tell us how awesome they thought Tony & his wife were, so that must tell you how amazing he will be for your next event. Tony was awesome! He was both a DJ and a master of ceremonies for our wedding reception at The Hacienda in Santa Ana, CA less than a week ago. He did an amazing job tricking everyone onto the dance floor with those fun group activities he does. He kept his energy high throughout the evening and was an active participant, always aware of the guests and their response to the music he played. I also really appreciated his little addition of the Star Wars theme after my Star Wars geek of a brother gave his toast that began with "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." Obviously that made my brother excited too. We had given Tony a list of favorite songs and artists as well as guest requests, and while he obviously couldn't play them all, he did an excellent job of playing songs of a similar genre, time period, etc. to still match our musical taste and that of our guests. Finally, he also considers the kids by bringing in some fun toys for them to keep them busy during the party. Some of the parents of smaller children appreciated that. My last 5 start review of Tony was in 2008 at my husband's 40th birthday. We just hired him again last month to DJ our 80 person wedding. Tony is a pro from start to finish... He listened and generated ideas for our big day, made 2 visits to ensure all the details were down. We had a very compressed reception timeline and he worked seamlessly with our event staff to keep everything moving and guests to feel comfortable. Tony is versatile in his knowledge of music and library of it too! We were able to accommodate our two families very different styles. Best of all, Tony is not a DJ, he is an MC. He made sure our wedding party were introduced, prompted for speeches, and got the crowd on their feet for our grand entrance with lots of fanfare! Worried people won't dance? He's got tricks for that too. He had the entire room dancing in the first minute, and made sure the photographer knew what he was doing so she could capture it all. I don't want to ruin any surprises but his service included lots of extras/surprises that you wouldn't think of and that my guests have been raving about since that night... they loved it, and we love him. If your event isn't going as planned... just let him know he can handle any hiccup since he has done this so much.
