Fast service was in need of a quick tire repair the guys there were very nice and helpful

I've been going to these folks for a while now. What is incredibly irritating is, that every time I go there, whether it's removing or installing a set of tires, they charge you differently each and every single time. If you go and ask them today how much they charge you just to install a set of tires (let's say size 15") they may tell you $50 today. If you come back tomorrow for the exact same thing, they more than likely will charge you $95. The sad part, is that they price gouge like crthat are employed here at a bunch of scammers. No work ethic and no morale. read more

We purchased tires from this business on 10/7/23 and got a road hazard replacement warranty good for two (2) years. Picked up a nail in one of the tires last week and when my husband brought the car and the warranty into the shop, they refused to honor their own warranty. This is an unscrupulous business that will cheat you if they have the chance. Be warned! read more

I had two tires put on the front of my car and as soon as I got to 60mph the steering wheel started shaking. I returned to shop two days later and explained the situation and asked if they could recheck the balancing. They declined and moved the tires to the back and said if I continue to have a problem bring the car back. I returned to the shop, let them know that I am still experiencing the same problem and ask if they could please recheck the balancing. They said the balancing checked out and that it might be a problem with my rims. I explained that there was no shaking or bouncing till I left the shop after I bought the tires. They charged me for checking the balance. Something has really changed recently and I can no longer recommend them in fact I suggest you avoid this shop and save yourself the hassle. Also, just a note since I saw the other reviews and must add that they charged me 20% more for my tires this time than they did for the tires I had put on the back about 6 months ago and they did not indicate I would have to pay them to recheck the balancing. I am concerned about Elizabeth who wrote a review because she said others wouldnt inflate her spare but Celaya's would. Can there be a safety issue? I'm very straight to the point in my reviews and very honest. First off its worth mentioning that the service was quick and the employee was courteous so hence the 2 stars. My issue is with communication and pricing. I used to frequent the location on 1960 quite often but decided to try the Jones location for a change (apparently no longer owned by the same folks due to a divorce) this is what I was told today by the guy that checked me out. Anyways I called the Jones location before going in to get the price. I explained what I needed done.. I bought 2 new tires elsewhere and needed the to put those in the front, move the front to the back and discard the 2 bad back tires. The man said $12 per tire. We had the conversation in English and just to make sure we also clarified it in Spanish. He asked how many new tires to confirm(2) and he said total would be $24.. perfect! Drove in, told the guy what I needed and that I had just called in and they got to it right away.. time to pay and they came at me with $35?? I said but you said $24 on the phone, he said it must have been the manager (owner) and that a rotation is extra. I explained to him that I was extremely specific in what I was being quoted for, and if they told me$24 why would they do the job and then up price me? He kept saying that the guy over the phone must have not understood and that I was getting a discount??? How is it a discount when you end up paying more that what was quoted?? Lol anyways, I paid it because I was done with them. I feel like if I had been a man this would have never happened. (Btw, I know my tire specks) definitely won't be going back and will stick with the original location on 1960 might be a little older building but, at least the charge what is quoted and don't have to scam people to pay for shiny buildings lol Btw... I'm disappointed because I had a relatively good experience up to the end of my time here. I called in advanced for a specific tire size (used) and they said they carried some for me to purchase at my requested price range (Which was around 60-100 a piece). They did a great job with their work, I don't want to discount this. But they pulled a fast one on me, I double checked before they installed them on with their price being what they said (which at the time was 80 each, I bought two tires). After I go to pay, they inform me that they are $150 each, both for $300. After going back and forth for a bit with the misunderstanding, they ended up saying they couldn't do anything about it. A guy at this tire shop wanted to charge me $200 for 4 used Michelin tires because of the brand. I used a penny to measure the threading and it barely covered the president's hairline. I tried to negotiate for less but the guy said they won't take less because of the brand. He also said they are almost new. I argued that they are very used and showed him how much threading was left but he was still fixed on the price. I walked away and found 4 almost brand new tires for $180 elsewhere. I use to go to this tire shop for years....... the service I received today was probably the worst ever. The guy lied to me and tried to put on a different tire other then the one I was replacing which was a run flat tire. Then when I caught it he got mad at me because I wanted the tire I paid for. The manager on duty named Jose tells me that they will bring the tire from another shop up the street. After waiting 2 hours I then ask how much longer he gets an attitude and was super rude. So I do some research to find out who owns the place. I reach out to them to find out is this how they do business now. I guess Jose heard that I called the owner and gets in my face and ask why did I call the owner on him. The other employee comes over and pushes him back. I should have just left then but I didn't and allowed them a chance to fix the problem. Jose then strips my lug nut and says that he didn't do it! Don't ever go to this place! read more

I came here asking for a quote on 4 tires. Advised the owner/manager/salesman that discount was giving me 4 new tires for $900 w warranty. Told the gentlemen specifically what kind of tire. He told me he had a more affordable tire for $850. I told him I would come back the next day due to it being an hour before they closed. I asked for the brand etc etc and when I came home and looked up the tire they were only $110 each. Totaling to $440 + tax and install maybe $600 the most. Should have looked at the reviews first before even stopping by and asking for a quote. Lol read more

Came here to confront them not balancing my tire i had put on. Was told tires were cupping and yeah due to them not balancing the tires. Charged $130 for 2 used but fairly new tires and acted as if I was a nobody because it took them another 20 mins to even start working on my car allowing someone who pulled up after me to get started on their car. I came here to get a full set of USED tires for my vehicle. Initially he gave me a good price but slowly added on more money. By the time I paid, the price was $40 more than what he told me. Then I came back to swap the tires out for ones that were a little smaller so that my wheels would not scrape when I hit a bump in the road 2 days later and they charged an extra $60. So much for used tire prices. Word of advice, DO NOT come here. Go somewhere else and buy new tires. Prices are too high for used tires. read more

Went in asked what the price to mount and balance new tires on my 2013 Grand Cherokee he glanced out the window looked at the car and told me $12 a wheel then I go to pay and he tells me it will be $20 a tire I asked why the price went up he said because of what car it was and they have different size wheels they are stock FYI then he finally said he would do it for $70 I said okay he then ran my card for $75 my shop is located a block away and I will drive one block farther to tower oaks tire! read more

Prior to today, my experiences with Celayas Tire & Wheel on Jones Road has always been wonderful! I purchased two new tires for my vehicle on 9/17/18 and the price was reasonable and the service was great. Unfortunately the tires created a very poor ride and caused the vehicle to shift left/right. I returned on 9/19 to explain the problem...one of the employees rode with me in the vehicle and and agreed there is a problem. When we returned to the shop, they offered to re-balance the wheels/tires and I agreed. When finished, they said to drive it again and let them know. I returned on 9/21 and told them the problem still existed and I asked to return the tires because I felt they were defective. Celayas refused to take the tires back. They mentioned a "sign" indicating no returns - the sign does not exist. The sales receipt does say this either, only that a 20% restocking fee could be assessed. I said I would pay the 20% and they still refused to refund my purchase. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. Again, very disappointing for a nice neighborhood tire and wheel dealer. read more

Went in with a broken rim they said give them till the next day to find one if not they would sell me a certain one next day not only was the guy not there but they hadnt bothered to look for one and wouldnt sell me the one he promised. So they orderd me one said it would b in the next day well it wasnt so they let me use one so i wouldnt ride on the donut but while they put it on they stole the center cap off another tire so they could use it on my broken rim which they kept but i still had the center cap for so when they fixed my rim which they told me couldnt be fixed so i would buy a new one they could sell it. read more

First of all I want to say I ALWAYS go to Discount Tire for all of my tire needs. But due to my tires wearing out prematurely, and my tires being 190 dollars a piece, I bought a couple of used tires and had Discount Tire mount and balance them a few months ago. When I did that, they seemed like the didn't appreciate that I didn't get new tires from them, and even told me " well, since you didn't get them from us, we charge xx.xx (cant remember the cost but the total for 2 tires was like 50 bucks) for mounting tires not purchased through us". I had them do it, but it didn't sit well with me. So, when my tires wore out again, I got a couple more used tires, and this time decided to try Celayas to do a quick mount and balance. They were very nice, and got me right in and charged me 25 dollars to mount and balance both tires! That was great! It took maybe 20 minutes, I paid ( they take credit) and I was on my way! A couple of things to note: 1. I noticed that when they put the tires back on the car, they did not use a torque wrench to torque the nuts to factory specs. This is something Discount Tires always does to be sure the nuts will not loosen over time. 2. The next morning one of my tires they mounted was flat. Nice huh? Well, I aired it back up and found the valve in the tire stem was leaking. So, I drove it over to Discount and had them look at it. The employee came out, and used a tool to tighten the valve and it seemed to be fine. But, he said " I think I am just going to replace it just to be sure". So, he went in, got a new valve and put it in for free, and I have not had any issues since. So, I don't know if the employee at Celayas didn't tighten the valve enough or what, but it is what it is. I just state the facts jack! I gave the place 3 stars because they charged me a small fee, got me in and out, and were nice and for that they are a-ok. I cant give them anything more due to the lack of using a torque wrench and the valve stem issue ( which might have been a fluke). I am sure Celayas has hooked up many folks with great results, but I for me, I think I will just stick to my local Discount Tire and pay a tad more. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. First, I came here and they tried to charge me $100 more than they charged my stepdad (I went alone) even though we have the SAME TIRES. I ended up having to spend $60 more and not including tax. Second, they tried to give me another tire than what they said they were going to give me. After I caught them and said that IS NOT the tire you told me, they apologize and then took almost TWO HOURS to change 4 tires. There were people that would come WAY after me and they got taken care of WAY before me. Then when I went to go check them to make sure they're doing what I wanted, they were patching up a tire that they told me was "almost brand new"... why do they need to patch up an almost brand new tire? I guess they didn't expect me to see them do that. Also, I noticed a new, very prominent scratch on my car. I honestly didn't even want to bother. Overall, they are shady and unprofessional. I actually had a positive experience with my tire purchase. I bought 4 runflat tires for cheap. The owner was very helpful and attentive to all the customers. The guys who actually replace the tires are too busy to chat so they seem unfriendly and rushed. It is a very busy and economic place so don't expect great customer service. Everyone speaks English. If you don't know good tires from bad tires, don't purchase any here. Bring someone who knows tires with you. I would definitely purchase tires from them again. read more

Had an emergency last night and this shop was the closest place. They sold me a spare and rented me a floor jack. I got the tires swapped. But, less than a mile down the road The spare blew off the rim. It sounded like a shotgun! Luckily I wasn't on the freeway. If I was I would have lost more than just a rim. Could have killed us. This shop is very sketchy. They can't give you a straight price for tires. They're rude. They looked at my tires, put them back on (didn't rotate them), and charged me $30. They just suck. Might as well have gone to Discount Tire because they wanted me to pay $20 short of the price of a brand new tire. What a deal! Also, be careful when they lift your car. They don't have a lift so they use for jacks. They messed up my undercarriage. I paid $30 and 40 minutes of my time for somebody to mess up my car. read more

This tire shop is a scam. I went with my daughter three months ago to get tires. They sold her four used tires $200.00 yes yes yes I know they were used but they sold them to us, having us believe that it was a great deal. Had atleast 40000 miles left on tires. After three weeks my daughter went to go get her inspection......the place told her that her two front tires were dry rotted....Really???? Went back to this "wonderful" tire shop, the owner gave us a bullshit excuse said the wrong tires were put on by mistake. Hahaha well they out two more tires on the front, guess what????? Flat tire because of a blow out on the wall of the tire, cords came out, the tire was dry rotted......thank GOD she was coming down our road, slow. Called this wonderful tire place.....they would not come change the tire nothing, told us we needed to bring the tire in. Well guess what????? This morning brought the tire in, and they stood they're and said the tire blew out because she needed an alignment!!!! Really?? Really??? Oh yeah the other tire was bulging also....left this crappy place, went to a trusted tire place. Nothing wrong with the alignment. Plain and simple.....dry rotted tires. We are women so these men thought they could sell us what they wanted. Well guess what, don't ever ever ever trust this business, I will not go to there restaurants ever either. This place is a terrible place. I wonder if they would put these type of tires on there daughters car, or there mothers, or there wives....so disappointed. I've been getting tires from this establishment for about 3-4 months. My tires kept getting flat so I kept going back and getting tires from them. Then I finally decided to take it to a good year to see about getting new tires they said the 2 tires that I purchased from that establishment were from 2012 and the back tire was from 2013 and the other was from 2011 and were dry rotted but told us they were new. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE OR THE OTHER LOCATION. They were very dishonest and knew what they were doing just because I am a female. Yelp needs emojis and not stars because I am pissed I even had to put 1 star. They deserve nothing!!! Hopefully this gets read because it messed a lot up on my car from using their tires. read more
