There are so many deals out there to experience the park, cost wasn't a problem for our group. We had pre-purchased tickets that included the cost of parking so when we arrived, that was one less thing to worry about. We also did the all day dining ($35) as well as the all day drink ($20). With the all day dining, you could stop every 90 minutes. While we didn't stop that often, one meal was almost the same value as one all day plan. We ended up using the dining plan 3 times. The drinks could be refilled every 15 minutes so we got our cost out of that as well. We shared both plans between 2 people and it was more than enough food/drink. Best food was easily the BBQ back by Camp Snoopy. As far as the rides, you can't go wrong. I think the longest our group waited was about an hour. There was plenty of shade for those that didn't ride. We spent about 12 hours in the park and easily did most of what the group wanted. Park and restrooms were clean, no matter where we were within the park.

A beautiful day at Cedar Point. A light breeze off the lake, bright blue sky, low humidity, and temperatures in the 70s. We received early entry because we were staying at Hotel Breakers. We were able to take advantage of short lines for several rides in the first hour, before the park opened. Steel Vengeance is still my favorite, and we were able to ride twice during the day at once at night with reasonably short lines. During the middle of the day all the longs were quite long so we went back to the Breakers to relax. We also got to enjoy the beach. Highly recommend staying at Hotel Breakers. Our favorite food in the park is always Happy Friar fries. Always perfect!

Private property that is part of Six Flags and overlooks Lake Erie. Best to prepay admission tickets, parking per vehicle, beverage wristbands, and meal plan online in advance. Will save a lot of time and money. We did some research and chose to visit on a Monday when it's not crowded. Highly recommend wearing lightweight cargo pants or shorts with zippered pockets to place any loose items like sunglasses, comfy UPF clothes pending on the weather, socks, lightweight shoes. If you must carry a waist bag or fanny pack, make sure you're able to turn it around on the side or behind your waist for riding roller coasters, ensure it's small just to fit your essentials. Employees operating the rides are strict and will make an announcement via PA system, "No cell phones and cameras allowed on the rides." There are roller coasters that will not allow anything in the pockets. Signs and announcements are posted and provided in advance. There are lockers available throughout the park and for certain thrill rides. I removed my prescription sunglasses for all of the rides. Restrooms are available throughout the park. Weather varied from overcast in the morning to sunny during peak afternoon hours. You're welcome to use their online app. My husband did periodically. I felt it wasn't necessary as I found everything that I wanted to ride and do. We didn't sign up for their Fast Pass. Average wait time ranged from 15 to 45 mins. We arrived at opening 10 AM and stayed until 7:30 PM. Prepaid beverage wristband came in handy. You're able to drink your choice of fountain Coca-Cola beverage every 15 minutes ranging from water, juice, iced tea, and/or carbonated beverages. Helped to keep us hydrated and quenched our thirst. We ate lunch at outdoor seating of Coasters Diner having cheeseburger with fries, choice of condiments, and choice of beverage. You're welcome to order frings, a combo of fries and onion rings. Cheeseburger and fries done right! My fave roller coaster/upside down rides were Valravn, Raptor, Maverick, Iron Dragon, Rougarou, GateKeeper, MaxAir for the breeze and windchill in your face. Calming rides: Ferris Wheel for the 360 degrees views. Sky Ride for the one way, short views. WindSeeker can enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Erie. Thunder Canyon which is fun and you'll get wet! My son is the best person to partner with for roller coaster rides. He's quiet the whole time until he said, "Mommy, how come you're screaming?" I said, "I have difficulty handling gravity and drops in my 40s." I'll admit I used to laugh only on roller coaster rides in my teens till mid 40s. Now I get motion sickness and whiplash after every roller coaster ride. I think I need to retire from riding roller coasters. My least faves were Steel Vengeance, Mean Streak. Sirens Curse was out of commission for the entire day and evening. Gift shop had a lot to offer. We bought a few gifts for relatives and ourselves. I wouldn't mind returning.

Travelled to Ohio for a family reunion and we had to make a pit stop to Cedar Point and dang glad we did! We came on Thursday before Labor Day weekend. While we opted for the fast pass, we really didn't need it except for a few rides only because the part started to get a little busier. I recommend staying at Hotel Breakers and getting the park passes included with the room. You get in an hour before the park opens. We were able To ride the BEST rides before traffic started picking up. Top Thrill 2, millennium force and sirens and raptor (I think those named correctly) were pure fun and surprisingly smooth rides for as fast as you go. The rides I would avoid if you don't like bumpy stuff are Blue steel, magnum xl and corkscrew. Every ride satisfied my thrill seeking soul though. We were in the park by 9 and done by 2 and rode everything with ease.

$277.31 before a single ride. NOT A GOOD ENTERTAINMENT VALUE ANYMORE!

I last went to CP in July, 2018. I bought the Fast Lane Plus pass for $110 and it included ALL of the major rides. I waited no longer than a few minutes to board each ride. Admission with parking was only $45 together on a special deal. I got a chocolate shake at Chick-fil-a for $5.19. I also had a chili cheese Hot Dog at Pink's for $7.39. Total expenditure for a safe, clean day of amusement at CP was $167.58. Fast forward to yesterday, 08/01/2025. Parking was $37.80 for 1 vehicle. This was a HARSH, BUZZKILL to start the day! I had already spent $54 for 1 adult single day admission and $209 for Fast Lane Plus PREMIUM (to get ALL the major rides). So far, I had spent $315.11 after tax and had NOT HAD A SINGLE RIDE YET! This is almost DOUBLE what I paid just 7 years ago. THANKS BIDENFLATION! But now for the harsh reality. More people are willing to pay this exorbitant amount for the FLP because the horrific alternative is to wait 2 to 3 hours in line for a single roller coaster ride. So yesterday, instead of breezing through the turnstiles as I had 7 years ago, I was now WAITING in the FLP line for 45 minutes to 1 hour! So for a 12 hour park day (10am-10pm), I was only able to get on 15 rides. Food was expensive before, but now it is STUPID EXPENSIVE! I paid $9 for a 12 oz. chocolate milkshake. A small cheeseburger with a small fry at the same place would have been $19. I was not that hungry. BOTTOM LINE: CP is still a safe, clean, family friendly, world class amusement park. Each unique, thrilling ride is a marvel of engineering. Unfortunately, I no longer consider CP to be a good entertainment value for the amount of money I spent. I will go elsewhere for my adrenaline rush.

This amusement park on Lake Erie has some of the fastest, tallest coasters in the country, plus tons of other rides, and shows. I purposely plan an annual visit to see my Ohio family mid September just to attend Halloweekends. They have people walking around in spooky cosplay frightening everyone and some spooky house attractions. It's clean, well ran, Lines can get really long, but the energy is great and it's totally worth it.

Trish L.

We visited for halloweekends and had a blast! The decorations and production put into the Halloween theme were impressive both during the daytime and at night. We loved all of the pumpkins and the fog, lights, walk-throughs and shows at night. I also appreciated the seasonal food and drinks. The only downside was that the park was super crowded and the wait for most of the rides was 45+ mins up to over 2.5 hours for the most popular coasters. We were there for 12 hours and only able to ride about 5 or 6 things. We'll come early in the season next time.

Cedar Point will always be one of my favorite places, I grew up coming here and so did the kids, but I don't love all of the changes, especially since the merger. Obviously, prices do need to go up, they were up everywhere, but they went up so much that it was cheaper buying a season pass than coming here for one day. Now, like many of the other theme parks, they have a different price for each day, no more standard price, so the prices online say "starting at" which means that is typically a day I cannot visit, like in the middle of the week, or when it is only open for six hours and not twelve, so it is deceiving. Next, you now have to pay EXTRA for the haunted houses once you get here for Halloween Horror Nights! That is insane, I have already paid to get in, you want up to $30 or more for me to enjoy something that was always included? The lines are so long as well, you might not even get your money's worth, plus some people need to pay even more for fast passes, so the amount you might spend is higher than other popular parks, plus you need to purchase an additional ticket for their Conjuring experience, which really looks fun, but still, I do not have that kind of money! So, I ended up getting a season pass, because with parking it would have cost more for one Halloween day, than for the entire year of coming here. I do plan on coming next year, but it has basically already paid for itself with the food and merch discounts, which I promptly used at their most amazing candy store. I did not end up getting the haunted house pass, but I did enjoy the scare zones and one complimentary walk through. Another issue I have though, is that a lot of their rides are continuously breaking down. We stood in line for several rides for an hour only to leave without riding them, wasting our time. I understand that is an issue at all parks, but it seemed to happen a lot on this day. Another complain I saw on this site, was there are less shows and less to do if you are not a thrill seeker, which a third to half of my party would like some calmer rides and shows. Perhaps build more rides for all? Still, I did have fun and do love the decorations and Halloween vibe, and I will be back next year.

Elizabeth L.

Such a fun and big park with lots to do! I came to do mostly the roller coasters and my favorite was top thrill 2, mellenium force, sirens curse and maverick!! Just make sure to bring a fanny pack or you will have to pay to rent a locker for your bags which is $15! They do have a dining or drink package which helps which you get a wrist band but for the dining package you only can use it every 90 mins and comes with one entree and side! The soda package you can use every 15 mins at any refresh station!! I like how the parks are open late until 10pm because riding roller coasters at night is the best and it's pretty to look at all lit up!

Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast Sandusky, OH "Originally reviewed over 10 years ago. Updated now with the proper fanfare Cedar Point deserves." Let me start with a confession: My original review of Cedar Point from over a decade ago was a disservice to one of the greatest amusement parks in the world. A couple stars and one lonely sentence? Shameful. But hey, I was young... probably too busy devouring cheese fries and dodging seagulls to write anything decent. This update is long overdue. Because Cedar Point isn't just an amusement park. It's a cornerstone of my childhood, a rite of passage, a place so iconic they had to build it on its own peninsula. Let's do this right. Growing Up Next to Greatness I grew up just 15 minutes from Cedar Point. While most kids were begging their parents for one trip a summer, I could just hop in the car on a random Tuesday after school and hit the midway. Some people had malls--I had Millennium Force. * I still remember being too scared to ride the big coasters. * I remember the day my friends got me to ride Millennium Force--instant obsession. * I remember trips to the arcade, walking the boardwalk, and hitting up Famous Dave's on the lake. * I even remember the time we docked our boat there (briefly)--but realized the car was faster This was my backyard playground. And it shaped everything. From Guest to Crew - Full Circle at Hotel Breakers In 2015, it all came full circle: I joined the Cedar Point team as a Hotel Breakers front desk agent, later becoming a supervisor. I had the honor of welcoming families who were about to experience what I had growing up. * Hearing kids scream at the sight of GateKeeper out the window. * Watching tired parents beam with joy seeing the beach right outside their room. * Being part of something so special to so many. That wasn't just a job. That was a full-circle moment in my story. Let's Talk About These Coasters Cedar Point didn't get the nickname "America's Roller Coast" by accident. This place is a shrine to adrenaline. * Steel Vengeance - the reigning champ of hybrid coasters * Millennium Force - still gives me chills after all these years * Magnum XL-200, Raptor, Maverick, Valravn--they're legends for a reason * Oh, and Top Thrill 2? If you know, you know. Every ride has a story. Every story comes with a photo of you screaming with your arms in the air and a funnel cake waiting for you afterward. Not Just Coasters... You'll find way more than thrill rides here: * Cedar Point Shores: The water park gets better every year. Lazy river, wave pool, slides--it's got it all. * Adventure Park: Go-karts, mini-golf, and the SkyScraper that lets you freefall with a friend. * Dining: Classic park eats, plus lakeside gems like Famous Dave's with a view. * The Boardwalk: Newly enhanced with a retro vibe and perfect sunset views over Lake Erie. This park doesn't rest on its laurels. It evolves, surprises, and levels up. Elite Tips From a Local: Fast Lane Plus is worth every penny if you're short on time. Go midweek in May or late August--cooler temps, lighter crowds, happier you. Stay at Hotel Breakers: Early entry and a literal 2-minute walk from bed to coaster. Fries with malt vinegar on the midway = Cedar Point tradition. Get the photo pass. You'll thank yourself later. This Place Is Family Cedar Point is more than steel, tracks, and midway games. It's memories. It's the time I made my mom a mosaic hot plate at one of the family craft booths. It's the fireworks show over the water. It's the feeling of growing up next to magic. It's friends. First dates. Summer jobs. Sunburns. It's my dad, a passionate birder, lighting up during lakefront walks and nature programs. It's... home. Final Word Cedar Point is in a class of its own. A world-class park, yes--but also a place deeply embedded in my life. And now, I'm proud to give it the review it always deserved. Whether you're coming for thrills, nostalgia, or your own full-circle moment--Cedar Point is worth the ride.

Cedar Point is a great park with many thrilling coasters, including elite coasters such as the RMC hybrid Steel Vengeance and the lone remaining strata Top Thrill 2. They also have many excellent supporting coasters, including some that would be stand-outs at other parks, such as launch coaster Maverick, giga coaster Millennium Force, hyper coaster Magnum XL-200, dive coaster Valravn, the photogenic front entry wing coaster Gatekeeper, invert Raptor, and now the equally photogenic tilt coaster Siren's Curse. There even have some classic coasters here such as woodie Blue Streak, racing coaster Gemini, suspended coaster Iron Dragon, and mine train Cedar Creek Mine Ride. They also have some good flats, like Skyhawk, a Screaming Swing, maXair, a Giant Frisbee, and WindSeeker, a Tower Swinger. Additionally, the park is clean and full of refill stations for their souvenir bottles, which I strongly recommend getting if you don't already have one from another Cedar Fair park, to help you stay hydrated. They also have excellent dining options inside the park, including BackBeatQue, the Farmhouse Kitchen and Grill, Hugo's Italian Kitchen, and their newest and my favorite, Grand Pavilion, which combines good food, such as Funnel Cake Fried Shrimp, with an upstairs dining area that has a great view of Lake Erie. Plus this setting on Lake Erie gives you beautiful views everywhere from the coasters, to the walkways, to the skyride, to the dining areas, and allows you to feel the wonderful seabreeze while walking around the park and riding coasters. And they even have a skyride and a train to help you get around this colossal park. However, Cedar Point does have a problem - they are too busy for their own good. This unfortunately means that, even if you are visiting on a weekday, you really do need to buy Fast Lane Plus, or otherwise you will be waiting multiple hours to ride roller coasters. With that said, as much as I dislike having to buy fast passes just to enjoy an amusement park, everything else about this park is too good to deny it five stars.

Valrvn. Good views everywhere.

Top tier amusement park, especially if you stay on property. There are plenty of restaurants.

HalloWeekend at CedarPoint Did you know that there was a Roller Coaster capital of the world? I mean it has to be somewhere, but I never knew where it was until I had the chance to visit there. The Roller Coaster capital of the world is CedarPoint in Sandusky, Ohio. It's also the home of Snoopy. Well, he's their official mascot I had the opportunity to hang out there two evenings in a row with some of my closest friends. It also happened to be Halloweekends. There are scare walks where ghosts, clowns, werewolves and more jump out at you. I wish I had video of Jeni running through the scare walk as they chased her. After the first night we learned that you can purchase a "no boo" necklace. It's a pumpkin that lights up and tells them not to scare you. It's great for kids, but I will tell you that they teased Jeni about not needing it and some chased her anyways. There are also haunted houses and halloween attractions. We did two of them. The first was the Eternity Infirmary and it was a super scary haunted house. And by scary I mean jump out in the dark and scare you half to death wet your pants scary. The other one was the corn maze. It was suspenseful scary and lots of fun. If you're looking for something spooktacular this Halloween, check out CedarPoint!

Question for you beautiful park goers, I'm a big guy (5'11" and 320lbs) and I was wondering, are these rollercoasters able to accommodate guests of a larger frame?

So I'm going to say that the ride itself is exhilarating and fun but the fact that it's only 1 minute long is a bummer. I wouldn't find myself waiting to ride this for longer than a half hour. Not going to waste time in a line for a ride that's not very long. But the whole theme of it is pretty original. When I'm not on it and you hear the noises, it can be deceiving of what the noises are but when youre on the coaster you realize it's like... sound affects of sirens singing! The whole 90 degree shift hold and drop is epic and worth the lack of time in the ride but it's honestly disappointing how short it is.

This record-breaking dive coaster doesn't just climb, it teases. At the summit, the track tilts forward and holds you there, dangling riders over the drop like bait before sending you plummeting into pure chaos. When it's running, it's a masterpiece of suspense and adrenaline. But... Sirens' Curse has developed a reputation for being a bit temperamental. Maintenance delays, mid-ride stops, and even the occasional evacuation have already become part of its legend. It's frustrating, sure, but it also gives the ride a "survivor's club" vibe when you finally make it through. Ride Stats: Record-breaking height & drop (exact stats TBD) * Sharp, precise layout * Dramatic pause before first plunge Best Seat: Front row -- nothing beats staring straight down that drop Pro Tip: Check the ride's status in the app before heading over -- she's a diva, but worth the wait Photo-Worthy? Absolutely -- the top-hang moment is pure Instagram gold Personal Note: Sirens' Curse is intense, dramatic, and a little unpredictable -- exactly how a coaster with this name should be. When it's on, it's a must-ride. When it's not... well, at least you'll have a good story.

It's got this wild, untamed wilderness vibe that perfectly fits its name. The first lift hill leads into a jaw-dropping 95-degree drop that instantly wakes you up, followed by crazy, whip-fast turns that keep your heart racing the entire ride. The sleek design, bold colors, and overall atmosphere make it feel like you're on a roller coaster adventure through the backcountry. One of my favorite moments is the unexpected launch underneath the station that shoots you toward the water section -- it's a rush like no other. Like Millennium Force, Maverick's iconic silhouette is visible from the road as you approach the park, a beacon of thrills calling you in. Ride Stats: 4,450 feet of track * 70 mph top speed * 95-degree drop * 2 minutes 30 seconds ride time Best Seat: Front row for pure speed, back row for maximum airtime Pro Tip: Avoid the midday crowds -- rope drop or the last ride of the night means way less waiting. Photo-Worthy? Absolutely, especially near the first drop and water section. Personal Note: This coaster quickly became my favorite at Cedar Point for its unique mix of wild design and intense thrills. Every ride feels like a new adventure, and that launch under the station still gets me every time.

Now, B&M Inclined loops are super rare, which is a shame because they're awesome. I LOVE the Inclined Loop on Riddler's Revenge (Would've also probably loved the one on this when it was Mantis as well as Green Lantern at Great Adventure. Sad that ride got torn down), and I love this one too! Plus, this is the only B&M Floorless coaster to have one of these! Making this super cool! We then hit the mid-course brakes and sadly, this is where Rougarou falls apart, Rougarou kind of sucks from here on out. We then hit some twisty turns which don't do much, a corkscrew that bangs our heads a bit (not too badly thankfully) until we hit the brake run. While Rougarou is not the best B&M looper ever and isn't one of Cedar Point's best coasters, it's not a bad ride by any means. In fact, I consider it to be underrated and a fun ride. Like seriously, from the way my friend talked about this ride, he made it sound like it was as bad as a Vekoma SLC or Green Lantern. LIKE BRO, ARE YOU NUTS???? THIS THING CURBSTOMPS BOTH OF THEM!!! And yeah, after riding it with him, it's really not that bad! That first half is just so good and again, I LOVE INCLINED LOOPS! Plus this never usually has a line. So I recommend checking this out at Cedar Point. Final Score: 72/100 Opened as Mantis in 1996 Reopened as Rougarou in 2015 Built by: B&M Last Ridden: May 20th 2023

My significant other and I gave Cedar Point a try. We decided to ride Blue Streak as our first…read moreride. Blue Streak is an important part of Cedar Point history with it being their oldest roller coaster. There was a storage bin to put your belongings, so that was a plus! I enjoyed every aspect of this coaster. It did have some shaking on the track, but that was expected. The first drop felt great! I feel that this coaster is a classic and I'm glad it's appreciated! Overall, Blue Streak was an excellent way to start off my day. I'm glad I chose to ride this one first. I can't wait to ride it again! Date of visit: 07/25/2023

We're here today to ride Blue Streak. A classic wooden coaster located at Cedar Point…read more Now, this ride is the last of the wooden coasters at Cedar Point. Most of them being old asf from the 30's, that were demolished long before I was alive. So I never got to ride those. And then there was Mean Streak which.... didn't have a good reputation and was RMCd into Steel Vengeance. So that leaves Blue Streak. And all I can say is that this ride is FREAKING AWFUL. I'm sorry if you like it, I stand by it. So what makes Blue Streak so bad? Well let's get into it. We first get into the PTC wooden coaster trains. Which, these are not well made. They're crampt, and the lapbar DIGS into your legs. So if you're riding with a larger rider, it's not gonna be fun. So the ride hasn't started yet and I already hate it. NOT A GOOD SIGN. We then head leave the station, and head up the lift hill. We then head down the first drop, I think there's airtime? I can't tell. This ride is too busy trying to send me back to the chiropractor for me to notice. And the worst part is, this ride is going SUPER fast. On most coasters, that would be awesome as it means you get airtime. But here, you're having your shins get crushed by those awful restraints while the ride tries to shake you around and bully you like that one girl did to me back in elementary school (Thanks for that Rachael). After going through several of these airtime hills, I wanted to get off. But sadly, we have to brace for that awful turnaround which makes you feel like you're in a car accident. You then have to brace for even more airtime hills as this ride goes at full speed. Continuing to beat the crap out of you as you scream "OW OW OW." Eventually, you hit the brake run. Thanking the lord that it's over. I'm honestly really sad to write this review. I did NOT expect to have this opinion on Blue Streak. It's a historic ride that on paper should be good. But you can tell that Cedar Point has not been taking care of it. Because now it's on the same level of rides as Manhatten Express before the 2022 refurb, Green Lantern, and Coast Rider. I never got to ride Mean Streak, but I imagine I'd like that ride more than this. At least Mean Streak looked to be smooth and was just boring. This was just brutal. I'd call for the wrecking ball, but like I said, it's a historic wooden coaster. And we all know how the OTHER Blue Streak turned out (F*CK YOU TODD JOSEPH). So if Cedar Point could, I'd love to see GCI or the Gravity Group come in and give this ride a makeover to make it good. Until then, I would NOT recommend riding Blue Streak unless you're a historic coaster nut or you're wearing lots of padding.
