The beach is real, and very nice. Kids are playing as well as the beach volleyball. Water is nice. We came here for sunset, but it doesn't seem to be a good place for sunset. The sand is nice. There are a lot of vacation homes near the beach, i guess it must be a very popular place in summer.

Kids have a blast. I am thrilled to see my children have the same type of fun I had growing up in the water. I grew up on the east coast (beach town) and I love seeing my children play in the water. It's like pulling teeth trying to get them to leave. Other than that, beach is nice and clean. Water is as clean as it can be for lake water. Restrooms and concessions are definitely convenient. Ample/convenient parking, and a playground and volleyball nets are good for the parents and guests who don't wanna take a dip in the water

Nickel Plate beach is a hidden gem. It's gorgeous and park/beach area is well kept. For a moment you forget your a lake until you get in the water and it more of a blue/green color and you can't see through it. Just don't sit next to the mom who is letting her children throw pringles at the sea gulls because 1,000 of the scavenger birds will flock to the food scraps and you will get shit on! It happened to us. Finally, BRING CASH! There is a $5.00 charge to get in and they only accept cash or check. We brought a cooler of beverages and were content spending a few hours indulging in the beautiful weather. The water is cold, the sand is hot and there is plenty of space to lounge and get a tan. What more can you ask for?

After leaving Cedar Point on a hot day, we decided to hit up a beach to waste an hour in the sun and cool off. Yelp brought us here and I really can't complain. Not much to say but that it's your typical lake beach. There's plenty of parking, a playground and an area for picnicking/grilling off the beach. The beach itself is decent. Hot sand plenty of room to find a spot. The walk to the beach from where you park your car is quite long. Prepare yourself though because there is an insane amount of feathers all over the place. It grosses me out. The water was average temperature and not the cleanest, but it's Lake Erie, not the Caribbean. There was no tide or current - very peaceful. People were lying on rafts. It's also important to note that there were no bathrooms or changing rooms. Closest thing is a maintenance hut with some soda and candy machines. We had to take shifts keeping lookout for one another as we hid in a little nook and changed into our suits! Haha! If we choose to visit the beach again, we'd probably just stay right at Cedar Point. I got a very local-vibe and don't think many tourists stop by.

    They love the water!

I love this place so much and I have been going my whole life and even have a cottage up there it is a place where kids and teenagers can go and have fun but also connect with God and feel his amazing presence. Every thing about this place is truly blessed by God, the counselors ,the staff, the buildings, the campers , and it honestly has been there perfect example of humans from around the country and different ages connect and strengthen their foundation in Christ in a modern world. I have made so many friends who I don't see at all during the school year but treat me like no time has passed when we see each other again the next summer I can't wait to become a counselor and share Jesus's love to the younger generation as was done for Me. If you are struggling in your faith or want to find God THIS IS THE PLACE it's done it for me and my family and thousands of other kids Love you so much Beulah beach, - "this time I ain't wishing fun away"

The lodge house was built in the 1920's. It's old, but well maintained with hardwood floors, lots of guest rooms, and an old style lodge style living room. The community bathrooms are updated. They are very nice with stalls and showers, and shower chairs are available. The rooms are nice size, and have a full bed and a bunk bed. There is a dresser and lamp and overhead light in each. I entered the lodge from the front door, and there are steps into the building and to the second floor. Across the street are the meeting buildings with dining room and kitchen. The beach neighborhood is nice to walk around. From the beach you can see Cedar Point.
