Wonderful place, staff is amazing, great breakfast. Couldn't recommend enough. Felt like home, safe and comfortable

We love it here! Friendly service. Quaint atmosphere. Walking distance to a beautiful sunset view.

We love this place so much we had our wedding reception here. Friendly staff, cozy quarters and plenty of space to relax.

Bruce friendly!

Its impossible to not love this place. A historic B&B in a small town on the water. Centrally located (then again, Cedar Key is only a couple of square miles, so everything is centrally located), dog friendly, comfortable, and friendly. We stayed here with our furkid, Bruce - he says hi - in Nanna's Pantry. It is a smaller room right on the patio, which does bring up the one negative. Cedar Key is a slow small town. Everything shuts down at 9. Therefore, people will hangout on the patio at the B&B and if you're trying to sleep, it will be very difficult. Even with earplugs. That said, the room was very comfortable with multiple fans/AC (which I imagine would be needed in the summer) and a small bathroom and shower, but adequate. A binder full of area recommendations is in your room, but again, pretty much everything is in walking or biking distance. The owners offer bicycles and golf carts for the guests and their large courtyard is fenced for your puppy to run around in. There were at least half a dozen other dogs there during our stay, including the owner's, and Bruce had a blast (they also have 2 cats, who didn't so much like Bruce). They allow the dogs everywhere, including inside the dining room as they only have 1 or 2 outside tables. Breakfast is served at 9AM every day and is over by 9:30. The hosts serve a hot breakfast (which was delicious) and put out breads for toast, cereal, coffee and juice - some genius thought of bringing their own champagne for mimosas, and I need to be friends with this man. They also leave hot water for tea out 24 hours and there is a gigantic tub of pretzels and a large, always full, cookie jar as well. The rooms all have DVD players and they have a collection you can watch. On top of thoroughly enjoying our stay and talking to other guests and the owner, we also left something behind which they graciously saved and sent back to us. I'm not sure why you would stay anywhere else when you come here. Don't know if we'll be back - we pretty much did everything there was to do - but if we do come back, I know where we'll stay.

Love Cedar Key B&B!! We have stayed here twice now and just adore the property and the area. Stay in the Tree House Suite if you can - you'll feel like royalty! The Tree House comes equipped with a kitchen (oven, stovetop, large sink, full size fridge, and all the cooking equipment/utensils), a nice bathroom, and a cozy bedroom space with tree top balcony. We have decided the Tree House Suite is quite possibly the coolest place we have EVER stayed in. Breakfasts and staff are always top-notch. We love riding the on-site bikes/golf carts to the various restaurants and shops.

Food was tasty and the bed was soft. Bathroom left us longing for more though. Should you stay in the sister? Room, bring toiletries and the shower was spilling into the floor. Beautiful location and sweet family there. Will definitely go back some day.

Historic bed and breakfast that is super dog friendly. There was a bottomless cookie jar! Need I say more?! The location was perfect. Steps away from the water and a short walking distance to the main strip with the restaurants. They have bikes too if you want. The rooms were clean with plenty of towels and lovely antique decor. The breakfast in the morning was two eggs and French toast, coffee, tea, cereal and bagels and English muffins. Though we prefer trying breakfast at different places, unlike other towns, there are not a lot of breakfast options in Cedar Key so the breakfast offered here saved us. Dog friendly! Doesn't matter the weight either! Usually places tolerate dogs but this bnb welcomes them with open arms and I love that.

Great last minute find! Rolled into town and as luck would have it they had a couple of rooms available so my husband and I stayed in Nanna's room. Comfortable bed in a quaint room in a truly hospitable place. Alice was the consummate hostess. They have the never empty cookie jar you can take advantage of. Breakfast was delicious as well!!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in the Girls Room which was upstairs with a private balcony. This was our first trip to Cedar Key and we were very impressed with this B&B. The staff and owner were very polite, friendly and accommodating to our special dietary needs. The breakfasts had large portions and were great. The gardens and old original oak trees were beautiful and well kept. The Inn itself was clean and inviting. They even had bicycles you could ride around the island. We have decided to come back next summer and make this a regular stop.

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast. The grounds are well kept and the oak trees are magnificent. Alice, her staff and all the pets are friendly. Breakfast was very good and they have snacks available in the evening if you want them. We have already booked another stay.

Amazing place. We will be back very soon. Breakfast was amazing and Alice and Randy were very nice and met our every need. Best porch ever!

Beautiful and peaceful location. The hot breakfast was excellent and staff are very friendly. This Inn is a short bike ride to everything on the island. They offer free bike use or you can rent a golf cart on site. We loved sitting on the swing in the courtyard underneath the 700 year old tree. Beautiful!

The famous bottomless cookie jar!

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff all in an awesome setting. Fells like you stepped back in time. Was only here for a single rainy day but the beauty and tranquility did not dampen spirits. Awesome breakfast and beautiful views as you sit out on the veranda and admire the ancient twisted oaks. Highly recommended.

It was a one bed, one bathroom that had a sitting area, kitchenette, and balcony. We first noticed how clean the room was. In general, that was true but I found random pieces of hair that weren't ours in the bathroom, on the couch, and who knows where else. My toddler daughter had a long strand of someone else's hair wrapped up in her hair so if may have come from the floor or the couch. That was a little bit of a turn off. The sleep accommodations were nice. The bed was comfortable and there was more than enough room for two adults and a toddler. We loved that the porch was screened in as we enjoyed being out there. There was ample parking in a carport just below the unit. The location is great. While the town is small, this place was steps away from two breakfast spots, the local pizza restaurant, and several shops. It's also a very short walk to Dock Street, where the Harbour Master Suites office and their Dilly Dally Gally is, along with other restaurants and bars. While the place could use a little more attention to detail with cleaning, overall, we enjoyed our stay and the check-in and checkout process was quick. I would be interested to return at some point to see what the room options are like at the main site.

A large mermaid statue greets you, surrounded by whimsical decorations and beautiful artwork. Inside, the floors and ceilings are hand-painted by an incredibly talented artist, and the mermaid-and-manatee theme blends together perfectly. The host, Joanne, is attentive while still respecting your privacy. She showed me around, answered all my questions, and made sure I knew she was just a phone call away if I needed anything. I was there to celebrate my birthday, and she had a banner over the bed and a nice bottle of champagne waiting in my room--such a thoughtful touch. You definitely won't go hungry here. There were muffins, bagels, cookies, fruit, snacks, and more than I could count. For breakfast, there were eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, and plenty of options to cook at your leisure. Drinks ranged from water and juice to soda, beer, and wine. I stayed in the Scallop Room on the ground floor. Each room has its own key, private bathroom, TV, and everything you might need. The bed was comfortable and very clean. In the evening, the owner lit the fire pit and provided s'mores so we could sit by the river, watch the sunset, and relax. Outside, there are kayaks, paddle boards, water bikes, and more. It was my first time kayaking on the river, and I had a wonderful time watching a manatee and her baby (from a respectful distance), along with fish jumping and birds diving. One of those special days I'll remember for years. My husband and I debated where to stay and took a risk with Crystal Blue Lagoon B&B, since we couldn't find a lot of reviews online. We booked the manatee room because we were charmed by the eccentric decor (it seemed better than a potentially run down room in a generic chain hotel) and we could not have been happier with our choice! While in Crystal River, we spent a lot of money on private boat tours (Manatees in Paradise is the best if you're wondering), but you don't even need to book a tour if you stay here. They have a manatee sanctuary spring pretty much on the property (populated by 30+ manatees during our stay). Plus, they have tons of water toys you can use and everything you need to swim with the manatees on site. Many of the boat tours would anchor there so people could swim with the manatees, but we had a perfect view of them by just standing on the lawn and looking into the spring, something the people on the boat tours couldn't do. Truly, it was the best manatee experience we had in Crystal River! Our room in the B&B was comfortable, clean, and completely charming, if not luxurious. It feels a bit like visiting your most artistic friend or family member. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which came in handy as the weather was cold during our stay. The kitchen was overflowing with a huge assortment of snacks, drinks (including wine and beer), and food you can prepare if you're so inclined. I've already recommended Crystal Blue Lagoon B&B to friends, and we will absolutely stay here next time we visit!
