Private swim area

This place is the best. We went just for an overnight stay, but for the location, price, and quality, it can't be beat. They have a ton of snacks and food all included, beer and wine, fruits, drinks, everything! There is a private swimming area that is available, kayaks, canoes, life jacks.. all you need to have a great time outdoors.

Great hospitality!

Perfect place to visit for vacation! We came and stayed in the Manatee room, the whole B&B is so creatively decorated and is so accommodating. Everything in the kitchen in complimentary and stocked with everything you need such as breakfast foods, snacks, desserts, sodas, and coffees. There is a fire pit outside that's perfect for s'mores and the deck on the roof has a great view. There is a lot of activities and restaurants very close to the B&B so you will always have something to do. We will definitely be coming back again to stay here! Thanks for the great hospitality!

What a beautiful location even when cloudy

We were so thankful to have been able to dine here for the complimentary breakfast as it was the best we've ever had (and we've traveled a LOT)! Make sure you come hungry! The fact that allergies are accommodated was a bonus. The property itself is set on a serene riverfront with surrounding palm trees. The common screened patio was perfect for relaxing with a book or playing a game. We even requested a last-minute charcuterie board on New Year's Eve that was perfection. We stayed in the Tango room which was spacious and clean. Coffee and tea are provided along with a mini fridge and microwave. The bedding was absolutely luxurious. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Best bed and breakfast we've stayed at by far! Cheers to 2025!

We also liked the idea of multiple rooms so that our Florida friends could meet us here and stay also. Breakfast every morning was also our reason for choosing Lullaby. This place exceeded our expectations! Theresa and Daniel are warm hosts who treat each guest with joy. First the rooms. They are stunning. We stayed in Classical Room. Our friends stayed in Tango Room. The decor is gorgeous. The beds super comfy. I slept sound each night, and loved some daytime naps too. Next, the breakfasts-- each was "An Experience." We stayed 9 nights and each morning, we enjoyed unique, great food, and Theresa would tell us a bit about the food - some Argentinian dishes - all were wonderful. Location -- located at the end of a roadway off of Ozello Trail, we were surrounded by wildlife. We saw dolphins swimming by Lullaby's pier. Plus so many birds. We love bird watching! The Area - we went to 3 Sisters Spring, Homosassa Springs State Park, the Fish & Wildlife Visitor Center (a must!), the Archaeology State Park with "indian mounds." We took a great boat tour to see manatees and King Bay. It was too chilly to swim, but we would have liked to take a dip at Hunter Springs (with manatees in winter). NOTE - This was 3 months after Hurricane Helene, and the fact that this B&B provides such a lovely experience means even more. They are still fixing things that were flooded. And they do all the extra work while maintaining great "guest experiences." Bravo!

We…read morelive in South Florida, so it wasn't a bad drive to feel like we stepped back in time 50 years. And better yet, they are dog friendly, so our baby could come with us. I had never been to Cedar Key, and was very excited. Pulling up to the B&B was a little magical. It was painted in pretty pastels, and we parked in front of their beautiful fenced in yard. It had majestic trees, and such an incredible, inviting vibe. Our room, Ms. Ida"s room, was beautifully decorated and inviting. It was large enough for our dog's large crate without making us feel cramped. The bathroom even had a beautiful claw footed tub. It was centrally located so we basically walked everywhere without issue. The Gulf of America was right there, and we really enjoyed watching the pods of dolphins frolick each night. The breakfast was delicious! We had a "Zippy", sausage and homemade biscuits. The Zippy was like a little southwestern quiche. Best of all were the people running this B&B. Heather and Cindi couldn't have made us feel more welcome, important, and frankly, loved! They were so kind and engaging, and totally doted on my dog. (Even made him his own scrambled eggs with cheese!) I had never been to Cedar Key, but I will definitely be back and will stay here again! Check it out!

Dock Street and all... but I really didn't even need to leave. It was very peaceful and relaxing and exactly what I was looking for. This BnB has it all. Charm, wonderful homemade breakfasts, friendly staff, great rooms... mine was on the 2nd floor and had its own private large balcony, accessible from the only other door up the stairs, next to the door to my room. The grounds were beautiful. I spent a good amount of time there. For just coffee, then breakfast, just before sunset in the afternoons... even just overlooking the grounds from the back porch. I walked around and looked at the different kinds of flowers... Alice pretty much does most of the landscaping. I spoke with Alice a good bit while enjoying breakfast in the garden one morning... very sweet and friendly, she truly loves the property and cares about her guests. It was my birthday weekend and my cousin and aunt contacted the BnB and spoke with Amanda. Amanda is who greeted me when I first arrived. She wished me a happy birthday and it took me some time before I figured out how she knew that. LOL When she showed me my room, I only asked about shampoo, she said because my hair was long, she guessed a 2 in 1 type of shampoo wouldn't suffice and I said, if it's something like Pantene, it would! After I returned from my afternoon out and about, there was a bottle of Pantene sitting on the decorate table outside my room. I'm not sure that it was readily available or if she actually went and bought it...but I was certainly appreciative and used it immediately. The next morning, after she read my notes on food issues (no chocolate, no almonds....) she had to ask me at breakfast what I couldn't eat again because my aunt and cousin requested gluten and dairy free, chocolate brownies to surprise me! I can and do eat gluten and dairy...but no chocolate. Amanda had in fact found gluten and dairy free brownies! They would have been wonderful...if I could eat them. Instead, she went out of her way once again and found me a vanilla cake on the fly... dressed it with hibiscus flowers and candles. She was very sweet and we talked for a while as well. Goes to show you how much they enjoy and appreciate what they do and the people they do it for. I enjoyed staying at this BnB, it encompasses old Florida and the local culture and I would definitely stay here again!

Cathy owns this unique property and is a gracious host along with her employee Billy. You are made to feel welcome all the time. Hopefully you get Cathy's special oatmeal plus her delicious eggs. This is a stress free place to stay. If that type of vacation interests you this is the place you want to be.

Consequently, we had stayed twice without realizing that the area was replete with beautiful lakes, rivers, and waterways. In other words, we had been to Inverness without really getting to know Inverness. The historic Lake House, built in the 1920s, sits on Lake Henderson; an expansive lake that meanders through the area. Your host and ours is Cathy Johnson, who serves as hostess, chef (breakfasts were excellent), and moderator of dialogue between a diverse group of guests. We became friends with Robert and Stefia who were visiting from Germany, Gert and Pastor Floyd who were visiting from Alaska, and couples from Michigan and Ohio. In this antique lodge with such a gracious hostess you can't help but become instant friends with the other guests. This is what a retreat truly should be. The property is great for walking around or sitting down in quiet meditation. There is a lookout where you can enjoy the view of the winding lake and, note, this is a great spot for weddings; a walkway leads down to the lake with large flower pots on each side, being a perfect setting for a bride's last walk as a single lady. The definition of a great retreat is good fellowship amidst the joy and wonder of nature. Often the blunt, brutal force of life leaves us weary and we risk becoming impressed with the Devil - the negative charge of the world - and we need a getaway The Lake House is that wonderful getaway and we'll be back soon.
