Another bike ride, another stop at Sunnyside. Unfortunately, they no longer serve the ribs... booo!…read more We both ordered the Seafood Chowder and split a slice of Hula Pie. The chowder arrived on the cool side, but the staff was very prompt about taking care of it, heating it up, and getting it back to us. There was plenty of seafood in every bite, which was great, but it needed some salt and pepper. I also think some bacon would have added another layer of flavor. I wasn't a fan of the focaccia bread that came with the chowder. It was more like eating a giant crouton. I think oyster crackers or a nice piece of soft, warm bread would have been a much better. The Hula Pie was huge and delicious. Definitely big enough to share! Despite a few misses, we enjoyed our visit. The next time we're biking in the area, we'll probably stop in again.

Was a bit worried they'll hit me sooner in high elevation, but was fine. Food wise, we tried their fried coconut crusted squid or calamari and their fish n chips. The fried calamari/squid were the flat kinds, similar looks to a flattened mozzarella stick. It was ok, def needed the sauce it came with. The fish n chips was one of the worst we've had. Very dry and dense fish. Ugh. The sauce and stuff was so much needed. Service was good though. We were seated promptly and our order was taken and food arrived timely. Would come back for the views and drinks.

We discovered this fantastic restaurant last year and loved it so much that we made it a must-visit…read moreagain over the weekend. Without question, SPOON's chefs create some of the best cuisine on the West Coast. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and made with quality ingredients. My wife and I are very fitness- and health-conscious, so we especially appreciate their delicious chicken and fish entrées. On this visit, I ordered an extra side of their chicken with the chipotle rub--absolutely fantastic! Their linguini is a treat. It was a special celebration for us, we completed the evening with their dessert of the day, a passion fruit cheese cake served with whipped cream and a passion fruit sauce. The cake was very moist and we could have eaten the sauce by the cup. Beyond the food, we love the ambiance and the genuinely warm hospitality. There's something special about the entire experience at SPOON. We can't wait to return next year!

In fact, we dine at SPOON every evening throughout our entire visits. That's how much we love it! What makes SPOON exceptional is its signature fresh, organic cuisine, where every dish is specialty designed with incredible attention to detail and elevated, memorable flavors. Each plate feels creative, thoughtful, and uniquely crafted rather than simply prepared. The cuisine is a reflection of the two owners--both chefs--who bring more than 25 years of culinary expertise each, with a passion centered on flavor, creativity, quality, and organic ingredients. Their experience and dedication are evident in every bite. The setting is wonderful year-round. SPOON consistently delivers an experience that feels personal and welcoming. During the summer, the beautiful outdoor patio is a perfect place to dine--and yes, it's wonderfully dog friendly! In winter, the atmosphere transforms into a cozy, inviting indoor dining experience. Another bonus: you can bring your own favorite bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal. Photos are examples of what we ordered. Our starter: Soup of the Moment - changes regularly- Mexican Squash & Beef Soup with verdolagas and roasted poblano peppers, and lime marinated chickpeas. Our dinner order: Organic Chicken Breast, herb marinated, skin-on breast, oyster mushrooms, roasted potatoes & Caribbean jerk pesto. Chipotle Rubbed Organic Legs, brined, rubbed & roasted leg quarters with chickpea salad, avocado salsa verde & shaved radish. Side Pan-Roasted Fish - King Salmon Linguini with Roasted Garlic Tomatoes & Parmesan For dessert: Sweetness of the moment - Raspberry Crumble Cake with whipped cream and raspberry compote. To take home for our midnight snacks we ordered both of their specialty signature deserts: Chocolate Truffle Medallions, (3) dark chocolate ganache medallions, with coconut, almond meal & a touch of sea salt. Million Dolla' Slice, layered buttery shortbread bar, salty caramel, dark chocolate ganache & toasted almonds. For us, SPOON isn't just a restaurant--it's a delicious culinary experience.
