Since I wasn't looking for a pastry or breakfast I can only comment on the excellent coffee. Cappuccino was perfectly made and the Americano was rich and bold like I like. Whatever beans they use are excellent in their espresso blend. The service was excellent, and everybody had a smile on their face. The only thing that was odd to me was plastic stir sticks. Why would i want to put plastic into my hot drink? Made no sense when you can use cheap wood recycled stir sticks.

I would describe the decor as mountain luxury. It's certainly a place I would want to hang out after a day at the beach. The menu here is pretty basic. No crazy speciality drinks here. The food choices are also lacking. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and an iced decaf americano. The drinks came up quick- though I was the only customer. Both were very good. The quality of coffee was nice, and the vanilla latte was very well balanced. You could really taste the coffee. The pricing is a bit on the high end, but not crazy compared to other shops in the area. 2 drinks and a pre-packaged rice crispy treat came to almost $20. Overall, Adventure Coffee is a nice spot, and I will visit again, but I don't think it will be taking my top spot for great Tahoe coffee shops any time soon.
