The seamstress told me the changes that I requested for my pants were going to be ugly. I knew what I needed for satin pants to taper and look feminine and fitting. She would not listen to anything I was saying or asking. I tried to let her calm down and restated my request and still she would not listen. Then she asked my to hurry and make up my mind. Following up on my previous review regarding how HORRIBLE this place is. I specifically asked them to sew on the insignias in the picture and they actually used fabric glue. I had to take my coat to another alter that actually knows what they're doing and had to pay around the same amount to have them correct Cesar Hill Alterations's HUGH MISTAKES!!!! I used to give this business 5 stars when it was owned by Stacy. Since the business has been sold I would not take any clothing there. They are rude, self righteous and refuse to believe they could have "gotten it wrong". Stacy never had that attitude. Her customer service was impeccable. They also have at least one seamstress who can't sew and apparently doesn't think to question something before cutting into your clothing and asking questions later. The whole crew can be argumentative. This business has really gone downhill since Stacy sold it. I have taken my considerable business elsewhere. read more

You just couldn't find a nicer person! Today, March 10th is her birthday She's GREAT @ what she does as with her other team members too! They offer QUICK, FAST and ACCURATE services. We all understand that no one is perfect. I've seen a few reviews that may not share the same opinion as I do, BUT! if there was a problem, give them a chance to get it right before posting an unpleasant review. Normally the service is excellent but the difference this time was that Stacy did not take care of me which led to a horrible experience. I dropped off 2 separate orders - 2 formals on Saturday and another one on Monday - for pickup on Friday after 5. On Monday, I had to question the charges because it was 20% more than the price I was quoted for the exact same service on another dress. After pushing back and showing my receipt, the clerk lowered the price and told me that she always gets in trouble for not charging enough. How about have a price list?? While there to drop off the garments, they were running around frantic trying to find someone's garment so whatever filing system they use was not effective. The customer was getting mad and impatient which I understand because for a minute you would think the item was lost. When I returned to pick up my items, the one I dropped off on Monday was done and then I experienced the frantic running around to find the items despite having my receipt. Then they asked me to return in 1.5 hours but could not tell me if they were still working on it or if it was lost. I agreed and when I returned, my items were still NOT ready. Then the clerk was distracted with a gentleman visitor who was not having work done. In the meantime, another lady walks in 20 minutes before closing to drop off a formal for the exact same alterations I had and she needed it the next day. They told her they could do it (good luck and I hope she had a backup dress) AND did not make her pay ahead of time. I had to stay 30 minutes AFTER closing to finally get my garments. I was not offered any type of compensation and the lady who said she had plans left me there with the seamstress and lady who overcharges. Well my evening plans were ruined because they didn't have my items ready as promised! I was not returning a 3rd time to pick up garments promised to me. The outcome is good but I highly recommend ONLY dealing with Stacy (the owner). If she is not there, run! More consistent and dependable help is needed. read more

Amazing tailoring done short notice (drop of Monday pm and pick up Friday pm) on formal gown that needed work on hem, slit and décolletage. The hardest part was décolletage area and they went above and beyond what we agreed to with no extra time or cost. This is the second formal gown that I've had altered ( the other dress needed hemming on pleated dress) and the work has been impeccable. read more

I am very dissapointed in the work performed. First of all, 2 new shirts were returned to me dirty as if they had been placed on a dirty floor and a pair of slacks also were soiled by what also looks like dirt. The lady told me to wash them and they would be ok and i told them that these are new shirts and i wanted them back in the condition i gave them to them in. After much discussion she agreed to have them dry cleaned as they should be not washed at home. I also asked if they could work on cashmere to which she said yes however once i recieved it back the stitching is crooked and you can see gaps in the stitching as if not enough stitches were done. If i were to wear a white dress shirt underneath you would see the white through the sweater. Another dress shirt was completely butchered. They sewed it in a way that is not wearable because it was folded and sewn that way. I dont undertsand how someone could overlook that its blatantly obvious. Furthermore i did not know she was sending garments out to other tailors and not doing the work herself. While i was there i heard her call a family member to go pick up someone else's garments at another tailor because the owner of those garments was upset about the time promised not being met. I was also told to pick up on Tuesday the 26th and the items were not ready till a day later than promised. So to reiterate, they are outsourcing the work to God knows who, the handling of garments is inacceptable and the quality of the work is poor. I would not recommend anyone take their garments there. Do not pay until you have inspected all garments or you will not be able to cancel or put a hold on the transaction. read more

I got my new dress back from needing the beading sewn back on and seams altered. Half the bottom of the dress is now missing the sequins and the edges were left ragged. I asked about the edges and they took it to the back and cut it sort of even. There's thread hanging out everywhere and the beading is still falling off. Just got it today but will take it back tomorrow to see if they will fix it. The dress has never been worn and now I can't wear it if they don't fix it! They're very nice until you have an issue and they act as if they're made at you for not being happy with their service. They also told me when it would be ready and when i got there, they asked me to come back because it wasn't ready. They weren't even working on ii! Even if they fix it, I'll be looking for another tailor. I've made 4 trips to get my dress done correctly. When I was there they had white thread in their their hands and I specifically asked that they not use white thread to sew beading on the orange tulle. I came back for it, and there was white thread throughout it. When I asked about using the clear/ invisible thread, she said they didn't have any! Reminded her that I asked that they NOT use white thread. She said she would fix again and at that point, I asked to get my dress. Told her I wasn't comfortable with what they were doing. I asked 2 times and she refused. She insisted on fixing it. I left and couldn't get out of the parking lot with feeling so uncomfortable and went back in. Told her to please just give me my dress. 3 more times, she refused. I left and cried all the way home. How can someone refused to give you your property, when it's been paid for? I went back two days later, as she told me to, and it was hanging on a rack up front. I got my dress and left. Had said nothing to anyone. Got it and left. Lord why me? So, I called in to request a rush service. My usual seemstress was having joint arthritis pain, and I needed an outfit ready for the next day. So, I gave an explanation of what I wanted, and assumed it was understood. She asked for $40. I said fine, considering it was last minute. Ok, I call to check on time the outfit will be ready. Stacey seemed annoyed that I called 45 minutes before closing, but I let it slide. When I walked in and she brought out the dress was all wrong. I let it go, and was relieved it was even sewn. But, when I asked for it to be pressed, she asked me to pay $5 extra. For what? To do something that's standard practice at other tailors. I'm soooooooo sick and tired of people being complete assholes and wondering why their business fails. Wait it gets worse then she practically throws the hanger on the hook and I had to ask her to a clear bag to cover it. Then stares at her phone and doesn't say goodbye, or thank you for coming. Nothing. My kids notice and say, " What was her attitude about?" I'm like "I have no idea." I paid before I left, I called to verify my out was ready, and I get an attitude???? I wasn't rude, I was pleasant. No wonder some women walk around with a chip on their shoulder. You get tired of being treated bad all the damn time. Well, my experience sucked.
