It's around 7pm on a Wednesday night. It's actually the night before Thanksgiving 2016, I didn't feel like cooking, so I decided to order some take out. I found Cedar Grill on Yelp and ordered the Lamb Gyro for $6.99. Food will be ready in 10-15min. Sounds good! Girl on the phone was super nice as well! The restaurant location is great; literally right next to Epic Theaters. While parking can be an issue, it wasn't a problem getting in and out on a Wednesday night. Restaurant is a nice size; I wouldn't mind eating here before/after seeing a movie. Both the server and cook were super friendly :) The gyro was a good size. I am not a Mediterranean cuisine expert, but the lamb, sauce, wrap, and other fillings all tasted great! I give Cedar Grill 5 stars for convenience, friendly service, price, and for the food itself. The food is amazing. Everything is fresh. The staff is great. I had the Swarma hummus plate as an appetizer and the lamb gyro. On Both items the meat was cooked perfectly just the right seasoning. The price for horse power is also excellent. I highly recommend to give them a try. read more

After visiting the neighboring Epic Theater, I found myself hankering for a healthy snack, so I popped into Cedar Grill for an order of hummus and pita. The serving was plentiful, more than enough for 2 people to share. We were given the option of pita chips or pita bread, and we opted for the bread. The hummus was perfection - great consistency and excellent flavor. The piece of pita was a great size to share, but it was served cold, and did not feel fresh. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Lake County. I eat there at least 3 time a week usually by uber eats but have dined in the restaurant. It has always been without exception delicious and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend. Great place read more

We've been a couple of times and neither time has been spectacular. It will probably be a while before we return again. The staff is great, but that's about it. The food presentation on the plate was good, but the meal was downhill from there. Passing through and stopped here. I don't have anything to compare it to having never been out of the country but it was good. I give it 4 stars. Seemed pretty clean, fast and super friendly and helpful service. The girl was very nice. We tried kibbe (app) and it was pretty tasty. The tahini hummus she brought out was really good too. I had shredded beef with rice and plantains. It was good. Husband had sliced lamb rice and a small Greek type salad and that was good too. The kids had chicken fingers. Good. I have been here before but haven't done a review in a few years. I ordered online a couple months ago and finally tried the gyro. It was really good and not skimpy! I went by tonight and tried the Vegi Sampler, Baba Ghanooj, Hummus & Tabbouli. I was expecting the possibility of being dissapointed, as not everyone makes it well, and WAS NOT! Each item was REALLY good! I had a small Grilled Lamb Greek Salad, tasty Lamb and salad was fresh! Needed to get dinner, as my hosts had something going on out of the area and being of Lebanese descent, I naturally wanted some comfort food. The pictures on Cedar Grill website looked like it would fit the bill. Ordered Shish Kebab with side salad and rice, and that's all I got. Not a bit of bread to scoop the meat, not a drizzle of sauce or hummus, nothing. But the worst part--the meat was so overdone!!! Who does that to ribeye??? (Unless it's not really ribeye? Just sayin) On the plus side, the salad was fresh and the rice was plentiful, hence the 2 stars. The woman who delivered was on time. Come on, Cedars, you can do better! read more

I was really pleasantly surprised by this place. The last place that was in this spot next to the Epic Theater was pretty plain and boring. You probably don't think high quality Lebanese/Mediterranean food would be found at a small place next to a movie theater, but this place would change your mind. We got a sampler app with babaganoush, hummus, and some salad that came with both pita chips and pita bread. Solid stuff- babaganoush was rich and smokey, hummus was slightly under seasoned for my taste but still good. The wife got a falafel sandwich and loved it. I got chicken shawarma and it was very good, not at all dry like some shawarma will get. The best part about this place was the service. We got some excellent, attentive service. I don't know if we lucked out, but it was some of the best service we've had in ages. Extremely rare to get this level of service from anywhere, especially a locally owned place. Local restaurant owners frequently seem to think you owe them something because they aren't a chain, and forget that magical ingredient of "not being an asshole to your customer." Not this place- our server was very accomodating and friendly without hovering or being weirdly clingy at the table. The only bad part about this place is the parking-- if you want to go on a Friday-Sunday, especially if a big movie just opened, the theater will eat up most of the parking spots and you'll have to park a ways away. I've been curious about this place since learning they have gyros (hard to find in this area). Checked the reviews on Yelp and thought it was time we give it a try. The menu had a few items of interest on it. I was going to get a falafel sandwich but stuck with the gyro since that was what drew me there. My husband ordered the same. We each ordered fries, too. The food was ok....there was plenty of meat, etc in the sandwich. The gyro bread was a little cool/cold but it was ok. I would have liked to have known the fries I ordered were curly fries (they are only listed as "fries" on the menu) since there are so many types of fries - curly being my least favorite. I really wanted to give this place more stars, but cleanliness was an issue. Thankfully our silverware was clean but our ketchup bottle had a big, somewhat fresh, glob of ketchup on it and the salt shaker had some old dried what I'm guessing was ketchup on it. I switched them out with cleaner looking ones on another table. Thankfully our meals were served in a paper lined basket because the baskets were very dirty. There was visible crud on them and the bottom of the baskets left grease stains on our paper placemats. All in all, the food was ok and the service was friendly and informative. Brand new Lebanese restaurant that just opened next to the movie theater. Yesterday was my first day at the restaurant and it hasn't even had it's grand opening yet but I have to say it's awesome! Was very amazed by the staff how friendly and attentive they are. Very courteous, outgoing, lively, and hospitable. Moe is so nice and Kim is friendly as well. They actually care about their customers and my friends from out of town loved it too. I worked in a restaurant and can say they're doing a great job so far at pleasing their customers. My friend got a burger and fries and his food looked delicious. Haven't tried anything yet but from what I saw his food looked delicious. For Clermont this restaurant also serves hookah! It's a nice start since there are no hookah bars or lounges in the vicinity, but it was nice. You can only smoke outdoors so just remember that if that's what you'd like to do. Prices are pretty fair too. Overall, I totally recommend this place! read more

Service is top notch here. Spoke with owner Kim, who was super friendly and can tell really cares about customers! I love baba ghannoush and have tasted my share, of course my taste buds are not Lebanese but I prefer that it's not as sour and warm rather than cold. And pita was quite different than what I am used to... was quite thin, but Kim explained that it was authentic Lebanese style. So not my favorite, I prefer thicker pita with my baba but hey we all have our preferences. I loved da falafels thou was best I have had so will be back for more. Hubby had meat shwarma gyro and was quite tasty with just right amount of spice. Will have to try kafta next time since Kim was saying they make it in-house. I am from Metro Detroit and when I tell you this place reminds me of home so much. The Detroit coney has the REAL Detroit chili sauce...mouthgasm. The gyro was amazing, the hummus homemade and the shawarma chicken and garlic sauce are a must try. Amazing food!!! I went here specifically for the gyro and some pita bread with the cucumber sauce and it was just OK for me. When I'm craving Greek I usually have to just go to Tarpon Springs because there aren't any great places around here. I was hoping that Cedar Grill would be that change I was looking for, but it wasn't. The gyro was mediocre and they serve seasoned curly fries with it....seasoned curly fries....whats Mediterranean about that?? Nothing, that's what. It threw off the flavor of the sandwich and with the tzat, it was just a strange flavor mix that didn't go well together. The tzat wasn't that great either, it was a bit watery and didn't have great flavor. I was overall disappointed in CG and I don't foresee going back. This place was off the chain good. The hummus with chips and falafel appetizers were out of this world. My daughter in law doesn't like hummus and she loved it.
